Fine-needle aspiration for periprosthetic fluid removal after implantation of a remote internal-port tissue expander

Clay minerals are inferred to be the primary host materials for ion-exchangeable rare earth in ion adsorption type rare earth ore(IAREO).During the rare earth leaching process,the adsorption and desorption reactions of the cations controlling the leaching process continue to occur at the clay minerals-leaching agent solution *** order to understand the leaching mechanism and behavior of rare earth and co-leached aluminum,adsorption,competitive adsorption,and desorption experiments were carried out using kaolin as a typical clay *** powerful electrostatic attraction and concentration driving forces facilitate the adsorption of *** adsorption ability and competitive adsorption ability of cations depend on their charge,hydration radius,and hydrolysis properties,and decrease in the order of La^(3+),Y^(3+),Al^(3+),Mg^(2+),and NH_(4)^(+).The desorption of rare earth and aluminum is positively affected by the concentration-driving force exerted by high concentrations of Mg^(2+) and NH_(4)^(+),with the order of the desorption ability being opposite to the adsorption ***,unspecified interactions between clay mineral particles enhanced by high-concentration desorbents,especially by Mg^(2+) than NH_(4)^(+),will adversely affect desorption reactions,which result in lower desorption efficiencies of rare earth and aluminum obtained with magnesium sulfate compared to those obtained with ammonium sulfate at high ***-phase Al(OH)_(3) generated at a high peak aluminum concentration leads to a considerably delayed aluminum efflux,thereby partially separating the rare earth from aluminum during the actual column leaching *** advance the mining technology of IAREO by selectively improving the rare earth leaching efficiency with minimal leaching agent consumption,higher charged cations with concentrations limited to suitable levels should be preferred as leaching agents.

Rechargeable sodium-ion batteries(SIBs)are considered as the next-generation secondary *** performance of SIB is determined by the behavior of its electrode surface and the electrode–electrolyte interface during charging and ***,the characteristics of these surfaces and interfaces should be analyzed to realize large-scale energy storage systems with high energy density and long-cycle *** various studies have investigated the properties of electrode materials,few studies have focused on the construction of stable and efficient SIB interfaces,and even fewer have explored the mechanisms of interfacial effects;however,the strategies of regulating interfacial effects are yet to be completely ***,the results obtained thus far are insufficient to draw systematic *** present study reviews the literature on the mechanism of interfacial effects in Na+storage *** interfaces in a sodium-ion storage device include a heterogeneous interface between electrode materials,a solid electrolyte interphase,and a cathode electrolyte *** interfacial effects during the intercalation,transformation,and alloy reactions and the resulting overall battery performance were theoretically *** this review,we aim to provide a theoretical basis for optimizing the structures of electrode surface and electrode–electrolyte interface to optimize the performance of *** addition,the challenges of investigating interfacial effects and several possible helpful methods and opportunities for studying the mechanisms of interfacial effects in SIBs will be presented.

Li-S batteries have aroused intense interests as one of the most promising high-energy-density storage ***,the complex undesired shuttle effect induced by dissolution and diffusion of lithium polysulfide intermediates remains the major setback of this *** modification of carbon cathode through heteroatom-doping is widely accepted as an effective method to inhibit the shuttle effect in Li-S battery ***,using first principle calculations,we systematically examined the interaction between halogenated graphene and lithium polysulfide *** is found that the halogen dopants(F,Cl,Br,I)significantly modify the local electronic structure of adsorption site and further induce a polarization to trap the ***,a concave curve is observed from F to I for lithium polysulfide adsorption rather than a linear *** exceptions demonstrated from iodine dopant is carefully analyzed and attributed to its unique charge ***,boron as second dopant further strengthens the interaction between halogenated graphene and polysulfide *** on halogenation strategy,lithium polysulfide/cathode interactions are tuned in a wide range,which can also be of great importance to accelerate redox reaction in Li-S ***,an effective method by halogenation is verified to regulate the adsorption of lithium polysulfide and also enhance the reaction kinetics of the Li-S battery system.

The paper presents the improved element-free Galerkin （IEFG） method for three-dimensional wave propa- gation. The improved moving least-squares （IMLS） approx- imation is employed to construct the shape function, which uses an orthogonal function system with a weight function as the basis function. Compared with the conventional moving least-squares （MLS） approximation, the algebraic equation system in the IMLS approximation is not ill-conditioned, and can be solved directly without deriving the inverse matrix. Because there are fewer coefficients in the IMLS than in the MLS approximation, fewer nodes are selected in the IEFG method than in the element-free Galerkin method. Thus, the IEFG method has a higher computing speed. In the IEFG method, the Galerkin weak form is employed to obtain a dis- cretized system equation, and the penalty method is applied to impose the essential boundary condition. The traditional difference method for two-point boundary value problems is selected for the time discretization. As the wave equations and the boundary-initial conditions depend on time, the scal- ing parameter, number of nodes and the time step length are considered for the convergence study.

A new basal neoceratopsian dinosaur, Helioceratops brachygnathus gen. et sp. nov., is described from the Quantou Formation （late Early Cretaceous or early Late Cretaceous） in the Liufangzi locality （Jilin province, China）. Helioceratops differs from other basal neoceratopsians with its deep dentary ramus, its steeply-inclined ventral predentary facet, its heterogeneous dentary crowns, and by the denticles and secondary ridges asymmetrically distributed on either side of the primary ridge on its dentary teeth. Along with Auroraceratops and Yamaceratops, Helioceratops represents one of the most derived non-coronosaurian neoceratopsians. The palaeogeographical distribution of basal neoceratopsians appears limited to northern China and southern Mongolia in the current state of our knowledge. It is therefore probable that this region constituted the birthplace for more advanced, Late Cretaceous Coronosanria.

A novel online analyzer for accurate and rapid measurement of volatile fatty acids in anaerobic wastewater treatment

Volatile fatty acids(VFAs), which are largely generated during the anaerobic acidification process, are considered to be reliable indicators of the stable process operation. However,the common methods for monitoring VFAs are offline, and they are typically manual requiring time-consuming, costly and complex instruments. This study aims to develop a novel online analyzer for automatic measuring VFAs, which was based on the 5-p H point titration, embedded with a proportional-integral-derivative(PID) feedback control system. The results show that it can achieve accurate and rapid monitoring of VFAs ranging between 0-400 mg/L(<9 min/sample) but simultaneously faces the problems of overtitration and interference of complex characteristics of wastewater. In order to improve its accuracy and stability, the effects of three general coefficients(K_(I),K_(P), and K_(D)) of PID on the titration were investigated, and the optimal values of K_(I), K_(P), and K_(D)were found to be 1.5, 1.0, and-1.0~0.5,respectively. Besides, the initial titration speed was set at 0.06 m L/min, equal to the minimum speed of the peristaltic pump, and the dichotomy approach was integrated into the PID feedback controller. Owing to the above improvements, the relative mean deviation and standard deviation of measuring VFAs in both synthetic and real wastewaters were mostly lower than 5.0% and 5.0 mg/L, proving the online analyzer is rapid, accurate and reliable.

The pure Zn foils with different thicknesses(0.02, 0.05, 0.1, 0.2 and 0.3 mm) were selected as interlayers to improve the quality of friction stir lap welding joint of 7075-T6 Al and AZ31 B Mg dissimilar alloys. The effects of the interlayer thickness on joint formation, microstructure and tensile strength were analyzed. The results displayed that the maximum length of the boundary between stir zone(SZ) and thermo-mechanically affected zone in lower plate was obtained by the addition of the Zn interlayer with 0.05 mm thickness. The Mg–Zn intermetallic compounds(IMCs) were discontinuously distributed in the SZ, replacing the continuous Al–Mg IMCs. The size of Mg–Zn IMCs increased with the increase in the thickness of the Zn interlayer. The maximum tensile shear strength of 276 N mm-1 was obtained by the addition of 0.05 mm Zn foil, which increased by 45.6% of that of the joint without the Zn foil addition.

OBJECTIVE: To assess the efficacy and safety of Neiguan(PC6) acupoint acustimulation in preventing chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting(CINV),especially for patients with guideline-inconsistent CINV prophylaxis(GICP) due to personal reasons METHODS: From January 2021 to December 2021, 373 patients suffered from solid malignancy were recruited according to the inclusion criteria. Complete response(no emesis and no rescue medication use) rate during the overall phase(0-120 h of each chemo-cycle) was the primary assessment of CINV control. The Functional Living Index-Emesis(FLIE) questionnaire was investigated among these patients as a secondary 'quality of life' objective to assess the impact of CINV on patients' daily life by recording score of nausea and vomiting. RESULTS: With acustimulation of Neiguan(PC6) acupuncture point through a portable, noninvasive and user-friendly device, in terms of complete response rate and scores in nausea/vomiting by FLIE questionnaire, patients achieve a better outcome in highly emetogenic chemotherapy(HEC) induced CINV, especially GICP subgroup. Meanwhile, analysis also demonstrated this tendency existed in other patients with HEC/GCCP(guideline consistent CINV prophylaxis) and moderate emetogenic chemotherapy, although the difference was not significant. CONCLUSION: Considering advantages of Neiguan(PC6) acustimulation such as noninvasive, covered by medical insurance and few side effects, we believe it would be an ideal auxiliary tool in CINV control, especially in patients who receive highly emetogenic chemoprotocol and are reluctant to GCCP for economic reasons.
