A detailed thermal power plant model was developed to evaluate power plant waste heat usage in terms of the operating parameters,energy consumption,water consumption,and pollutant emissions.This model was used to analyze the bypass flue gas energy cascade utilization design which provides excellent energy savings and emission reductions.This paper then presents a design to use the low-temperature waste heat and to extract water from the flue gas.The low-grade heat can be recovered from a coal-fired unit using absorption heat pumps to increase the air preheating.This method significantly reduces the turbine steam extraction in the low pressure stages which increases the turbine power and reduces the coal consumption.This design has a small heat transfer temperature difference between the air preheater and the air warmer,resulting in a smaller exergy loss.The power output of the present design was 1024.28 MW with a coal consumption savings of 3.69 g·(kWh)^(−1).In addition,the present design extracts moisture out of the flue gas to produce 46.48 t·h^(−1)of water.The main goal of this work is to provide a theoretical analysis for studying complex thermal power plant systems and various energy conservation and CO_(2)reduction options for conventional power plants.

Green sand is a mixture of silica sand,bentonite,water and coal powder,and other additives.Moisture content is an important index to characterize the properties of green sand.Based on the dielectric characteristics of green sand and transmission line theory,a method for rapidly measuring the moisture content of green sand by means of a low frequency multiprobe detector was proposed.A system was constructed,where six detectors with different arrangements and probes were designed.The experimental results showed that the voltage difference of transmission line increases with the increasing frequency before 29 MHz while decreases after 35 MHz.A voltage difference platform occurs in the range of 29-35 MHz,which is suitable for measuring the moisture content due to its insensitivity to frequency.The electric field intensity gradually decreases with the increase of the probe depth,and the intensity of central probe is always greater than that of the edge probe.When the distance of the probe away from the sand sample surface is 80 mm,the electric field intensity of the edge probe is found to be very weak.The optimal excitation frequency for measuring the moisture content of green sand is 29-33 MHz.The optimal detector is the one with one center probe and three edge probes,and their lengths are 80 mm and 60 mm,respectively.The distance between the center and edge probes is 25 mm,and the diameter of probes is 5 mm.Taking the voltage difference of transmission line,bentonite content,coal powder content and compactability as parameters of the input layer,and the moisture content as a parameter of the output layer,a three-layer BP artificial neural network model for predicting the moisture content of green sand was constructed according to the experimental results at 33 MHz.The prediction error of the model is not higher than 3.3% when the moisture content of green sand is within the range of 3wt.%-7wt.%.

Chinese medicine(CM)has thousands of years of experience in prevention of diseases.As for CM,people's constitution is closely related to their health status,thus recognition of CM constitution is the fundamental and core contentof research on constitution types.With development of technologies such as sensors,arificial intelligence and big data,objectification of the four diagnostic methods of CM has gradually matured,bringing changes in the mindset and innovations in technical means for recognition of CM constitution.This paper presents a systematic review of the latest research trends in constitution recognition based on objectification of diagnostic methods in CM.

Plant hormone abscisic acid(ABA)plays an indispensable role in the control of leaf senescence,during which ABA signaling depends on its biosynthesis.Nevertheless,the role of ABA transport in leaf senescence remains unknown.Here,we identified two novel RING-box protein-encoding genes UBIQUITIN liGASE of SENESCENCE 1 and2(ULS1 and ULS2)involved in leaf senescence.Lack of ULS1 and ULS2 accelerates leaf senescence,which is specifically promoted by ABA treatment.Furthermore,the expression of senescence-related genes is significantly affected in mature leaves of uls1/uls2 double mutant(versus wild type(WT))in an ABA-dependent manner,and the ABA content is substantially increased.ULS1 and ULS2 are mainly expressed in the guard cells and aging leaves,and the expression is induced by ABA.Further RNA-seq and quantitative proteomics of ubiquitination reveal that ABA transporter ABCG40 is highly expressed in uls1/uls2 mutant versus WT,though it is not the direct target of ULS1/2.Finally,we show that the acceleration of leaf senescence,the increase of leaf ABA content,and the promotion of stomatal closure in uls1/usl2 mutant are suppressed by abcg40 loss-of-function mutation.These results indicate that ULS1 and ULS2 function in feedback inhibition of ABCG40-dependent ABA transport during ABA-induced leaf senescence and stomatal closure.

Osimertinib,a third-generation epidermal growth factor receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitor(EGFR-TKIs),is approved globally as the first-line treatment for patients with EGFR mutations(EGFRm:Ex19del/L858R)and T790M resistance mutations in advanced non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC).[1−3]With its widespread use,the cardiotoxicity of osimertinib has been of great concern.According to the U.S.Food and Drug Administration Adverse Events Reporting System(FAERS),the main cardiac-related adverse events with EGFR-TKIs are heart failure,QT prolongation,atrial fibrillation,acute myocardial infarction and pericardial effusion,and osimertinib has a higher incidence of QT prolongation,heart failure and atrial fibrillation than other EGFR-TKIs.

Background:High agglomeration of myeloid-derived suppressor cells(MDSCs)in neuroblastoma(NB)impeded therapeutic effects.This study aimed to investigate the role and mechanism of targeted inhibition of MDSCs by low-dose doxorubicin(DOX)to enhance immune efficacy in NB.Methods:Bagg albino(BALB/c)mice were used as tumor-bearing mouse models by injecting Neuro-2a cells,and MDSCs were eliminated by DOX or dopamine(DA)administration.Tumor-bearing mice were randomly divided into 2.5 mg/kg DOX,5.0 mg/kg DOX,50.0 mg/kg DA,and control groups(n=20).The optimal drug and its concentration for MDSC inhibition were selected according to tumor inhibition.NB antigen-specific cytotoxic T cells(CTLs)were prepared.Tumor-bearing mice were randomly divided into DOX,CTL,anti-ganglioside(GD2),DOX+CTL,DOX+anti-GD2,and control groups.Following low-dose DOX administration,immunotherapy was applied.The levels of human leukocyte antigen(HLA)-I,CD8,interleukin(IL)-2 and interferon(IFN)-γin peripheral blood,CTLs,T-helper 1(Th1)/Th2 cytokines,perforin,granzyme and tumor growth were compared among the groups.The Wilcoxon two-sample test and repeated-measures analysis of variance were used to analyze results.Results:The slowest tumor growth(F=6.095,P=0.018)and strongest MDSC inhibition(F=14.632,P=0.001)were observed in 2.5 mg/kg DOX group.Proliferation of T cells was increased(F=448.721,P<0.001)and then decreased(F=2.047,P=0.186).After low-dose DOX administration,HLA-I(F=222.489),CD8(F=271.686),Th1/Th2 cytokines,CD4^(+)and CD8^(+)lymphocytes,granzyme(F=2376.475)and perforin(F=488.531)in tumor,IL-2(F=62.951)and IFN-γ(F=240.709)in peripheral blood of each immunotherapy group were all higher compared with the control group(all ofP values<0.05).The most significant increases in the aforementioned indexes and the most notable tumor growth inhibition were observed in DOX+anti-GD2 and DOX+CTL groups.Conclusions:Low-dose DOX can be used as a potent immunomodulatory agent that selectively impairs MDSC-induced immunosuppression,thereby fostering immune eff

Modification of cell wall properties has been considered as one of the determinants that confer aluminum(Al)tolerance in plants,while how cell wall modifying processes are regulated remains elusive.Here,we present a WRKY transcription factor WRKY47 involved in Al tolerance and root growth.Lack of WRKY47 significantly reduces,while overexpression of it increases Al tolerance.We show that lack of WRKY47 substantially affects subcellular Al distribution in the root,with Al content decreased in apoplast and increased in symplast,which is attributed to the reduced cell wall Al-binding capacity conferred by the decreased content of hemicellulose I in the wrky47-1 mutant.Based on microarray,real time-quantitative polymerase chain reaction and chromatin immunoprecipitation assays,we further show that WRKY47 directly regulates the expression of EXTENSIN-liKE PROTEIN(ELP)and XYLOGLUCAN ENDOTRANSGLUCOSYLASE-HYDROLASES17(XTH17)responsible for cell wall modification.Increasing the expression of ELP and XTH17 rescued Al tolerance as well as root growth in wrky47-1 mutant.In summary,our results demonstrate that WRKY47 is required for root growth under both normal and Al stress conditions via direct regulation of cell wall modification genes,and that the balance of Al distribution between root apoplast and symplast conferred by WRKY47 is important for Al tolerance.

Main observation and conclusion Four new N-methoxyindolediketopiperazines(acrozines D—G,1—4)and six known congeners(5—10)were purified from the organic extract of Acrostalagmus luteoalbus TK-43,which was a marine algal-derived fungus obtained from Codium fragile.Their structures were determined by interpretation of NMR and mass spectroscopic data.The structures of compounds 1,2,and 4 including their absolute configurations were confirmed by single-crystal X-ray diffraction,while the absolute configuration of compound 3 was elucidated by comparative analysis of ECD and TDDFT-ECD calculations.Compounds 1—4,with a unique methoxy substitution at N-2,were rarely discovered among indolediketopiperazine alkaloids.All these compounds were evaluated for antimicrobial activities against human-and aquatic-pathogenic bacteria and plant-related pathogenic fungi,with compounds 5 and 7 exhibiting potent activity against Edwardsiella icataluri(MIC=3 and 5μmol/L,respectively),while compound 9 displayed a broad spectrum of antibacterial activities.The four new compounds were further tested for anti-acetylcholinesterase(AChE)properties,and compound 3 exhibited inhibitory activity with IC_(50)value of 8.4μmol/L.

Preventive effects of the polysaccharide of Larimichthys crocea swim bladder on carbon tetrachloride(CCl_4)-induced hepatic damage

The aim of the present study was to determine the preventive effects of the polysaccharide of Larimichthys crocea swim bladder(PLCSB) on CCl4-induced hepatic damage in ICR mice.The in vitro preventive effects of PLCSB on CCl4-induced liver cytotoxic effect were evaluated in BRL 3A rat liver cells using the MTT assay.The serum levels of AST,ALT,and LDH in mice were determined using commercially available kits.The levels of IL-6,IL-12,TNF-α,and IFN-γ were determined using EliSA kits.The pathological analysis of hepatic tissues was performed with H and E staining,and the gene and protein expressions were determined by RT-PCR and Western blotting,respectively.PLCSB(20 μg·m L-1) could increase the growth of BRL 3A rat liver cells treated with CCl4.The serum levels of AST,ALT,and LDH were significantly decreased when the mice were treated with two doses of PLCSB,compared with the control mice(P liver weight,compared to the CCl4-treated control mice.The histopathology sections of liver tissues in the 100 mg·kg-1 PLCSB group indicated that the animals were recovered well from CCl4 damage,but the 50 mg·kg-1 PLCSB group showed necrosis to a more serious extent.The 100 mg·kg-1 PLCSB group showed significantly decreased mR NA and protein expression levels of NF-κB,i NOS,and COX-2,and increased expression of IκB-α compared with the CCl4-treated control group.In conclusion,PLCSB prevented from CCl4-induced hepatic damage in vivo.
