Experiments on partial melting of mantle lherzolite have been realized at 0.6 and 1.0 GPa and the chemical compositional variations of melts during different melting stages have been first discussed. The results show that the trends of variations in SiO2, CaO, Al2O3, Na2O and TiO2 are different at different melting stages. The melts produced at lower pressure are richer in SiO2 than those at higher pressure. The mantle-derived silica-rich fluids (silicate melts) are polygenetic, but the basic and intermediate-acid silicate melts in mantle peridotite xenoliths from the same host rocks, which have equivalent contents of volatile and alkali components and different contents of other components, should result from in-situ (low-degree) partial melting of mantle peridotite under different conditions (e.g. at different depths, with introduction of C-O-H fluids or in the presence of metasomatic minerals). The intermediate-acid melts may be the result of partial melting (at lower pressure) Opx + Sp + K-Na-rich fluid ±(Am-phi) ± (Phlog) = OI + melt. But the intermediate-acid magmas cannot be produced from the partial melting of normal mantle peridotite unless the crustal materials are introduced to some extent.

He is now engaged in studies of metallic ore deposits geochemical thermodynamics and experimental geochemistry.

The Changkeng gold-silver deposits consist of a sediment-hosted, disseminated gold deposit and a replacement-type silver deposit. The mineralizations of gold and silver are zoned and closely related to the silicification of carbonate and clastic rocks, so that siliceous ores dominate in the deposit. The mineralizing temperature ranges mainly from 300 to 170℃, and K+, Na+, Ca2+, Mg2+, and Cl- are the major ions in the ore-forming fluid. Calculations of distribution of metal complexes show that gold is mainly transported by hydrosulphide complexes, but chloride complexes of silver, iron, lead, and zinc, which are transformed into hydroxyl and hydrosulphide complexes under neutral to weak-alkaline circumstances in the late stage, predominate in the ore-forming solutions. Water-rock interaction is confirmed to be the effective mechanism for the formation of silver ores by computer modelling of reaction of hydrothermal solution with carbonate rocks. The solubility analyses demonstrate that the precipitation of gold and silver-bearing minerals taking place under weak-acid conditions and near-neutral to weak-alkaline conditions, respectively, is the main or favourable factor for the ore zonation and separation between gold and silver.

Oxygen and hydrogen isotopic compositions have been determined of three coexistent mineral triplets of alkali feldspar, quartz, arfvedsonite of 11 samples collected from the Tasigake alkali granite pluton, Ulungur River region, northern Xinjiang. Isotopic exchange with meteoric water during subsolidus cooling caused strong 18O-D depletion and the remarkable nonequilibrium 18O/16O relation between coexistent minerals. 18O/16O exchange kinetic effects of the three minerals are simultaneously and consistently modelled. Exsolution and microtextural reorganization of alkali feldspar, and infiltration of water have been mutually facilitated by each other. Shallow intrusion, and circulation of meteoric water throughout the pluton cool it effectively. As a result, the "heat engine" is rapidly extinguished, and the nonequilibrium 18O/16O relation is frosen.

Unsaturated polyester resin （UPR）/acrylate-terminated polyurethane （ATPU）/organo-modified montmorillonite （OMMT） nanocomposites were prepared by the in situ intercalative polymerization method. Samples were prepared by the sequential mixing, i.e. mixture of the ATPU and styrene （S） and OMMT were prepared in the first step; UPR was then added to the pre-intercalates of ATPU/S/OMMT. Results indicate that the mechanical properties and thermal properties of UPR/ATPU/OMMT nanocomposites greatly depend on the amount of ATPU and OMMT. Results show that the addition of ATPU could increase the impact strength of UPR/ATPU composites, but the tensile strength, flexural strength and heat resistance of the materials are obviously decreased. When the weight ratio between UPR, ATPU and OMMT were 82：15：3, the impact strength and heat distortion-temperature of nanocomposite were greatly improved, meanwhile there was little change for other properties of the nanocomposites. The synergistic enhancement effects of ATPU and OMMT on the composites were observed. The structures and morphology of the composites were investigated by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy.

The subsolidus phase relations were determined experimentally in the system MgO-ZnO-SiO2 at 1.0 GPa and 1 200℃, by use of the high-pressure apparatus "piston-cylinder". The results showed characteristics of the phases assemblage different from that in similar ternary systems. It is impossible to form complete Mg2SiO4-Zn2SiO4 olivine and Mg2Si2O6-Zn2Si2O6 pyroxene solid solution. This is controlled by the properties of Zn2+ with an outer layer of electron (Ar)3d10, different from others transition metal ions, like Fe2+ , Ni2+ , Co2+ .

The condensates are generally characterized by high maturity,low concentration of steranes and ter-panes biomarkers and low content of non-hydrocarbon fraction. In this case commonly used steranes,terpanes and carbazoles parameters cannot be effectively applied in the reservoir-filling tracing. The hydrogen bond formed by sulfur atom in the dibenzothiophenes (DBTs) results in molecule adsorption and fractionation during oil migration in reservoir. Like carbazoles,total DBTs content decreases with the increasing of oil migration distance. Therefore,a new parameter——total DBTs content is proposed to be used to trace the oil migration orientation and filling pathway. In present study,total DBTs con-tents of condensates and light oils are obtained by adding internal standard——eight deuterium atoms substituted DBT during Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry analysis of aromatic fraction. Except for a few samples with much lower content of non-hydrocarbon fraction,the total DBTs content shows a fine positive correlation with that of carbazoles. Large errors can be caused in the process of pyrrolic nitrogen compounds separation. The application of this new parameter in the Fushan Depression of Beibu Gulf Basin,South China Sea indicates that this parameter is a reliable one to trace filling pathway in condensate reservoirs. Combined with other DBTs-related parameters,such as 4-/1-methydibenzo-thiophene and 2,4-/1,4-dimethyldibenzothiophene,oil migration orientation and filling pathway of the Fushan Depression was determined. The accumulations of Huachang oil field in the Fushan Depres-sion are mainly migrated and charged from northeast to southeast along the Huachang uplift. It can be predicated that the light oil and condensates in the Huachang oil field should be sourced from the source kitchen at the Bailian Sag. It shows that total DBTs content is an effective parameter to tracing oil migration orientation and filling pathway.

Cenozoic high\|K igneous rocks are widely distributed in eastern Tibet. These rocks are exposed as flows, dykes and small intrusions along a narrow north\|south trending zone, which follows Tertiary fold belts and the Batang—Lijiang and Ailao Shan—Red River strike\|slip systems. Although several models were proposed to interpret their petrogenesis (Deng, 1989; Arnaud et al., 1991; Turner et al., 1996; Yin et al., 1995; Miller et al., 1999), their origin still remains hotly debated. Moreover, the published results were only focused on the high\|K igneous rocks resulted from partial melting of an enriched lithospheric mantle. Here, we present the detailed documents to testify the existence of a new kind of high\|K igneous rocks in eastern *** new 39 Ar/ 40 Ar age data (Wang et al., 1999) and published age data for high\|K rocks in eastern Tibet show two distinctive magmatic episodes: one between 42Ma and 24Ma, and the other since ca.16Ma. They correspond to two types of high\|K magmatism in eastern Tibet. We name the older and younger groups as types Ⅰ and Ⅱ, respectively.

Wet bulb globe temperature(WBGT)is a comprehensive index obtained mainly from three parameters:black globe temperature(Tg),wet bulb temperature(Tw),and dry bulb temperature(Ta).While in field observation and numerical simulation,black globe temperature and wet bulb temperature were not easy to obtain,so WBGT was difficult to measure and calculate *** order to solve this problem,air dry bulb temperature,wet bulb temperature,globe temperature,relative humidity,mean air velocity,solar radiation and wet bulb globe temperature were collected during the summer(July)in *** analysis and regression analysis were used to get a simplified method to calculate *** results showed that dry bulb temperature,relative humidity,solar radiation and WBGT were interrelated to some *** three parameters could be used in the simplified method to predict WBGT,and the linear correlation and precision of this model were *** addition,we used the measured data to verify the simplified method,and the results showed that the error of the calculated value and the measured value was all below 5%,which means the simplified calculating method is feasible and can be used in field observation and simulation research of urban thermal environment.
