Relationship between intestinal microbial dysbiosis and primary liver cancer

Background: Intestinal microbial dysbiosis is involved in liver disease pathogenesis. However, its role in primary liver cancer(PLC), particularly in hepatocarcinogenesis remains unclear. The present study aimed to study the changes in intestinal flora at various stages of PLC and clarify the relationship between intestinal microbes and PLC. Methods: Twenty-four patients with PLC(PLC group), 24 patients with liver cirrhosis(LC group), and 23 healthy control individuals(HC group) were enrolled from October 2016 to October 2017. Stool specimens of the participants were collected and the genomic DNA of fecal bacteria was isolated. High-throughput pyrosequencing of 16 S r DNA was used to identify differences in gut bacterial diversity among HC, LC, and PLC groups. We also analyzed the relationship between clinical factors and intestinal microorganisms in LC and PLC groups. Results: Diversity of Firmicutes tended to decrease from the HC to LC and PLC groups at the phylum level. Among species, Enterobacter ludwigii displayed an increasing trend in the PLC group, wherein the relative abundance of Enterobacter ludwigii in the PLC group was 100 times greater than that in the HC and LC groups. The ratio of Firmicutes/Bacteroidetes was significantly decreased with the disease progression. In addition, the linear discriminant analysis effect size method indicated that Clostridia were predominant in the gut microbiota of the HC group, whereas Enterococcaceae, Lactobacillales, Bacilli and Gammaproteobacteria may be used as diagnostic markers of PLC. Redundancy analysis showed a correlation between intestinal microbial diversity and clinical factors AST, ALT, and AFP. Veillonella showed a significant positive correlation with AFP in the PLC group, whereas Subdoligranulum showed a negative correlation with AFP. Conclusions: This study indicates that dysbiosis of the gut microbiota might be involved in PLC development and progression.

BACKGROUND Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is the third leading cause of cancer mortality *** gut microbiota can help maintain healthy metabolism and ***-macrophage colony-stimulating factor(GM-CSF)is a critical factor in promoting health and homeostasis;it promotes intestinal immunity,stimulates bone marrow precursors to generate macrophage colonies,and enhances the antibacterial and antitumor activity of circulating *** such,GM-CSF may protect against HCC development by regulating immunity as well as intestinal *** To investigate the impact of GM-CSF on the gut microbiome and metabolic characteristics of *** Thirty-six male BALB/c nude mice were divided into three groups:Control(n=10),HCC(n=13),and HCC+GM-CSF(GM-CSF overexpression,n=13).We utilized HCC cells to establish orthotopic transplantation tumor models of HCC with normal and over-expressing *** injury,immune inflammatory function and intestinal barrier function were *** fecal microbiome and metabolome were studied using 16S rRNA absolute quantification sequencing and gas chromatography-mass *** GM-CSF overexpression significantly affected the gut microbiome of mice with HCC and resulted in a high abundance of organisms of the genera Roseburia,Blautia and Butyricimonass,along with a significant reduction in Prevotella,Parabacteroides,Anaerotruncus,Streptococcus,Clostridium,and ***,GM-CSF overexpression resulted in a substantial increase in fecal biotin and oleic acid levels,along with a prominent decrease in the fecal succinic acid,adenosine,fumaric acid,lipoic acid,and maleic acid *** analysis revealed that the intestinal microbiota and fecal metabolites induced by GM-CSF were primarily involved in pathways related to reducing the inflammatory response,biotin metabolism,and intestinal barrier *** GM-CSF can protect against HCC development by regulating immunity and

Selenate oxyanion-intercalated NiFeOOH for stable water oxidation via lattice oxygen oxidation mechanism

Transition metal-based compounds can serve as pre-catalysts to obtain genuine oxygen evolution reaction（OER） electrocatalysts in the form of oxyhydroxides through electrochemical ***,the role and existence form of leached oxygen anions are still ***,we selected iron selenite-wrapped hydrated nickel molybdate（denoted as NiMoO/FeSeO） as a pre-catalyst to study the oxyanion *** is surprising to find that SeO2-exists in the catalyst in the form of intercalation,which is different from previous studies that suggest that anions are doped with residual elements after electrochemical activation,or adsorbed on the catalyst *** experiment and theoretical calculations show that the existence of SeO42-intercalation effectively adjusts the electronic structure of NiFeOOH,promotes intramolecular electron transfer and O-O release,and thus lowers the reaction energy *** expected,the synthesized NiFeOOH-SeO only needs 202 and 285 mV to attain 100 and 1000 mA cm-2in 1 M ***,the anion exchange membrane water electrolyzer（AEMWE） consisting of NiFeOOHSeO anode and Pt/C cathode can reach 1 A cm-2at 1.70 V and no significant attenuation within 300 *** findings provide insights into the mechanism,by which the intercalated oxyanions enhance the OER performance of NiFeOOH,thereby facilitating large-scale hydrogen production through AEMWE.

陀螺的噪声是影响组合导航系统精度的重要因素之一。以农机多传感器组合导航系统为研究背景,在分析经验模态分解去噪和小波去噪的基础上,提出了一种基于自相关特性的经验模态分解去噪方法。该方法根据本证模态函数分量的自相关函数特性,提出了一种含噪本证模态函数筛选策略。该方法能够自适应地确定主要含噪的本证模态函数分量,避免了需要人为确定的不足;同时,结合改进小波阈值去噪的优势,避免了将混叠在噪声中的有效信号完全消除,使其具有一定的自适应性。为了验证方法的有效性,利用农机组合导航系统中微机械陀螺的实际输出数据,分别采用改进阈值小波去噪方法、经验模态分解去噪和改进的经验模态分解去噪方法进行了对比试验。结果表明,改进经验模态分解去噪方法的效果要优于前者,在一定程度上能够改善农机多传感器组合导航系统的定位精度。

Experimental study on the buckling of composite cylinders with reinforced circular hole under hydrostatic pressure

In this paper,a type of reinforcing structure for composite shell with single and through hole is *** experimental tests for the composite shells without hole,with single hole and reinforced structure,with through hole and reinforced structure subjected to hydrostatic pressure were carried out by the designed experimental test *** mechanical responses of the composite shells under hydrostatic pressure are obtained by the high-speed camera and strain *** results show that the entire deformation process of the shell can be divided into three:uniform compression,"buckling mode formation"and ***"buckling mode formation"process is captured and reported for the first *** the composite shell with single hole,the proposed reinforcing structure has a significant reinforcement effect on the shell and the buckling capacity of the shell is not weaker than the complete composite *** the composite shell with through hole,sealing effect can be achieved by the proposed reinforcing structure,but the buckling capacity of the shell after reinforcement can only reach 77%of the original buckling capacity.

Interfacial electron rearrangement of 3D Fe_(3)O_(4)/h-YFeO_(3)composites for efficient electromagnetic wave absorption

Interface modulation is an important pathway for highly efficient electromagnetic wave ***,tailored interfaces between Fe_(3)O_(4)particles and the hexagonal-YFeO_(3)(h-YFeO_(3))framework were constructed via facile *** resulting interfa-cial electron rearrangement at the heterojunction led to enhanced dielectric and magnetic loss *** results and density function theory(DFT)simulations demonstrate a transition in electrical properties from a half-metallic monophase to metallic Fe_(3)O_(4)/h-YFeO_(3)composites,emphasizing the advantages of the formed *** transformation of electron behavior is also accompan-ied by a redistribution of electrons at the Fe_(3)O_(4)/h-YFeO_(3)heterojunction,leading to the accumulation of localized electrons around the Y-O-Fe band bridge,consequently enhancing the polarization.A minimum reflection loss of-34.0 dB can be achieved at 12.0 GHz and 2.0 mm thickness with an effective bandwidth of 3.3 GHz due to the abundant interfaces,enhanced polarization,and rational ***,the synergistic effects endow the Fe_(3)O_(4)/h-YFeO_(3)composites with high performance and tunable functional properties for efficient electromagnetic absorption.

Contribution of fungal biomass to persistent soil carbon across natural ecosystems

Fungi are known to be crucial in the formation and stabilization of soil organic matter through their exudates and dead residues(necromass).Yet,it remains unclear how fungi contribute to the persistence of carbon in soils over millennial scales across ***,this study fills the knowledge gap by linking fungal carbon stocks with minerals-associated carbon stocks across major biomes.A strong correlation between fungal biomass and reactive mineral-associated carbon stocks in soils across six biomes supports the substantial role of fungi in soil carbon persistence at the global *** spatial resolution nanoscale secondary ion mass spectrometry revealed that fungi may stabilize carbon by forming organo-mineral associations through their close physical connection to reactive minerals and weathered *** propose a conceptual model that emphasizes the dualistic role of hypha-mineral interactions:(i)fungi accelerate organic matter decomposition by producing reactive oxygen species on the hypha-mineral interfaces,and(ii)fungi stabilize their residues on mineral surfaces,leading to millennial scale persistence of soil ***,fungi play a fundamental role in ecosystems that extends beyond the decomposition of persistent *** are crucial in stabilizing carbon on mineral surfaces,thereby facilitating the long-term removal of carbon from rapid biotic cycling.
