Regulating metal-acid double site balance on mesoporous SiO2-Al2O3 composite oxide for supercritical n-decane cracking

The balance between metal and acid sites directly affects the preparation of high-performance cracking catalysts with high heat sink and low ***,how to control acid-metal sites balance and its relationship with cracking performance are reported *** this work,a series of Pt/Al2O3-SiO2dual sites catalysts with different metal to acid active sites ratio(CM/CSA) were constructed by ethanolassisted impregnation method and the impact on n-decane cracking under supercritical conditions was systematically and deeply *** results showed that the conversion and carbon deposition increased gradually with varied CM/CSAand reached the balance at CM/CSAof *** proper ratio CM/CSA（0.13） can balance the deep dehydrogenation coking over metal active sites and high heat sink of cracking over acid active sites,the chemical heat sink reaches amazing 1.75 MJ/kg and carbon deposition is only22.03 mg/cm2at 750℃.Meanwhile,the few metal sites at low CM/CSAand the few strong acid sites at high CM/CSAare the main factors limiting the cracking *** CM/CSAlimit the activation of C-H bond and deep dehydrogenation of coking precursor,resulting in relative low cracking activity and carbon deposition,while high CM/CSAlimit the activation of C-C bond and increase the deep *** this contribution,design and construction of metal-acid dual sites can not only provide the technical solution for the preparation of high heat sink and low coking cracking catalyst,but also deepen the understanding of the cracking path of hydrocarbon fuel.

Urea-induced interfacial engineering enabling highly reversible aqueous zinc-ion battery

Aqueous zinc-ion batteries(AZIBs)have been regarded as prospective rechargeable energy storage devices because of the high theoretical capacity and low redox potential of Zn ***,the uncontrollable formation of dendrites and the water-induced side reactions at the Zn/electrolyte interface,and the poor reversibility under a high current density(>2 mA·cm^(-2))and large area capacity(>2 mAh·cm^(-2))still limit the practical applications of ***,a strategy that can overcome these difficulties is urgently ***,we introduce an environmentally friendly and low-cost additive,namely urea,to the electrolyte of AZIBs to induce uniform Zn deposition and suppress the side *** of the adsorption behavior,electrochemical characterization,and observations of the morphology revealed the interfacial modification induced by urea on the Zn/electrolyte interface,demonstrating its huge potential in ***,the long-term cycling stability(over2100 h)of a Zn/Zn symmetric cell under a high current density of 5 mA·cm^(-2)and a capacity of 5 mAh·cm^(-2)was achieved with a 1 mol·L^(-1)ZnSO_(4)electrolyte with the urea ***,the assembled Zn/NH_4V_4O_(10)full cell with urea exhibited excellent cycling performance and an outstanding average Coulombic efficiency of 99.98%.These results indicate that this is a low-cost and effective additive strategy for realizing highly reversible AZIBs.

Titanium dioxide(TiO_(2))hollow nanoparticles present significant potential for photocatalytic applications while their straightforward preparation with precise structure control is still *** work reports the approach to preparing tunable hollow TiO_(2) nanospheres by utilization of spherical polyelectrolyte brushes(SPB)as nanoreactors and *** the preparation,the evolution of the structure was characterized by small angle X-ray scattering(SAXS),and in combination with dynamic light scattering and transmission electron *** formation of TiO_(2) shell within the brush(SPB@TiO_(2))is confirmed by the significant increase of the electron density,and its internal structure has been analyzed by fitting SAXS data,which can be influenced by Titanium precursors and ammonia *** calcining SPB@TiO_(2) in a muffle furnace,hollow TiO_(2) nanospheres are produced,and their transition to the anatase crystal form is triggered,as confirmed by X-ray diffraction *** the advantages of their hollow structure,these TiO_(2) nanospheres exhibit exceptional catalytic degradation efficiency of methylene blue(MB),tetracycline(TC),and 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid(2,4-D),and also demonstrate excellent recyclability.

Conduction-convection coupled heat transfer around a hollow cylinder under different buoyancy forces

In order to clarify the effect of a buoyancy force on conduction–convection coupled heat transfer in a hollow cylinder, the flow and thermal characteristics were analyzed using an RNG k-ε turbulence model. The Reynolds number was fixed at 1.014 × 10^(6), and the Rayleigh number varied from 1.122 × 10^(10)to 1.088 × 10^(11). Results have shown that, when considering the effect of an opposed buoyancy force, increasing the Rayleigh number has a positive impact on the rate of change and uniformity of the cylinder temperature. The temperature distributions along the axial and circumferential directions are similar for different Rayleigh numbers, but extreme values *** the axial direction, the maximum temperature is obtained at the interface between the variable-diameter part and the constant-diameter part. The maximum dimensionless temperature value decreases to 0.12 when the Rayleigh number increases to 1.088 × 10^(11). Along the circumferential direction, the temperature distribution is affected by the buoyancy force, which results in the temperature of the upper part being higher than that of the lower part. After nondimensionalization of the temperature and time, a correlation was proposed to illustrate the transient heat transfer process quantitatively. The standard deviation of the maximum relative temperature, representing the temperature uniformity, was also calculated. It was found that the difference in the direction of the buoyancy force made a huge difference. Compared with the opposed buoyancy force, the maximum dimensionless temperature is almost two times higher with an assisted buoyancy force. Similarly, the heat transfer coefficient with an assisted buoyancy force is half of that with an opposed buoyancy force. Overall, an assisted buoyancy force plays a negative role in terms of thermal characteristics. The flow field around the hollow cylinder was also illustrated to reveal the mechanism of the buoyancy force on magnitude and direction aspects

Effects of Terpinen-4-ol on Four Metabolic Enzymes and Polyphenol Oxidase (PPO) in Mythimna separta Walker

To study insecticidal mechanism of terpinen-4-ol, a main insecticidal composition in the essential oil of Sabina vulgaris, the 5th instar larvae of Mythimna separta, were investigated with terpinen-4-ol by topical application. The activities of phosphatase, glutathione S-transferase （GSTs）, cytochrome P450 （P450）, and polyphenol oxidase （PPO） of tested insects were determined in all poisoning stages, including exciting stage, convulsing stage, paralysis stage, and recover stage. The result showed that the activities of both acid phosphatase （ACP） and alkaline phosphatase （AKP） in treated insects were induced by terpinen-4-ol, but ACP was inhibited in paralysis stage. The activities of GSTs were inhibited in exciting stage, convulsing stage, and paralysis stage, but gradually recovered in recover stage. O-demethylase activity of cytochrome P450 was inhibited by terpinen-4-ol, and the inhibition rate in all poisoning stages were 26.27, 46.03, 80.24, and 90.22%, respectively. PPO activities were strongly inhibited by terpinen-4-ol both in vitro and in vivo. In conclusion, the activities of P450, GSTs, and PPO could have relation with toxicity of terpinen-4-ol against larvae of the Mythimna separta, but recover stage of the poisoning insects might be related to GSTs induced. As a new insecticide or synergist, terpinen- 4-ol has a potential value in field of insecticide resistance management.

Efficient and stable PtFe alloy catalyst for electrocatalytic methanol oxidation with high resistance to CO

Direct methanol fuel cells(DMFC) are widely considered to be an ideal green energy conversion device but their widespread applications are limited by the high price of the Pt-based catalysts and the instability in terms of surface CO toxicity in long-term ***,the PtFe alloy nanoparticles(NPs) with small particle size(~4.12 nm) supported on carbon black catalysts with different Pt/Fe atomic ratios(Pt_(1)Fe_(2)/C,Pt_(3)Fe_(4)/C,Pt_(1)Fe_(1)/C,and Pt_(2)Fe_(1)/C) are successfully prepared for enhanced anti-CO poisoning during methanol oxidation reaction(MOR).The optimal atomic ratio of Pt/Fe for the MOR is 1:2,and the mass activity of Pt_(1)Fe_(2)/C(5.40 A mg_(Pt)^(-1)) is 13.5 times higher than that of conventional commercial Pt/C(Pt/C-JM)(0.40 A mg_(Pt)^(-1)).The introduction of Fe into the Pt lattice forms the PtFe alloy phase,and the electron density of Pt is reduced after forming the PtFe ***-situ Fourier transform infrared results indicate that the addition of oxyphilic metal Fe has reduced the adsorption of reactant molecules on Pt during the *** doping of Fe atoms helps to desorb toxic intermediates and regenerate Pt active sites,promoting the cleavage of C-O bonds with good selectivity of CO_(2)(58.1%).Moreover,the Pt_(1)Fe_(2)/C catalyst exhibits higher CO tolerance,methanol electrooxidation activity,and long-term stability than other Pt_(x)Fe_(y)/C catalysts.

Highly Hydrolysis-Resistant Polyimide Fibers Prepared by Thermal Crosslinking with Inherent Carboxyl Groups

Easy hydrolysis in alkaline environments limits the use of polyimide fibers in environmental protection. The hydrolysis resistance levels of polyimide fibers can be improved by crosslinking of the macromolecular chains. In this work, crosslinked polyimide fibers(CPI fibers) were produced by intrinsic carboxyl decarboxylation for the first time. The thermal stability of the polyimide fibers containing the intrinsic carboxyl groups(PIC fibers) was studied, and the temperature of the decarboxylation-crosslinking reaction was determined to be 450 ℃. The PIC fibers were hotdrawn to initiate thermal crosslinking of the carboxyl groups and molecular chain orientation at high temperature. The CPI fibers had high tensile strengths(0.72-1.46 GPa) and compressive strengths(401-604 MPa). The oriented macromolecules and chemically crosslinked structure improved the tightness of the molecular chains and endowed the CPI fibers with excellent hydrolytic resistance. The CPI-50 fiber did not dissolve in a 0.5 wt% NaOH solution during heating at 90 ℃ for 10 h, and the tensile strength retention reached 87% when treated in 0.5 wt% NaOH solutions at 90 ℃ for 1 h, providing a guarantee for its application in alkaline corrosive environments.

We described ferromagnetic film and bilayer films composed of two ferromagnetic layers coupled through antiferromagnetic interfacial interaction by classical Heisenberg model and simulated their magnetization state,magnetic permeability,and Faraday effect at zero and finite temperature by using the Landau–lifshitz–Gilbert(LLG)*** results indicate that in a microwave field with positive circular polarization,the ferromagnetic film has one resonance peak while the bilayer film has two resonance ***,the resonance peak disappears in ferromagnetic film,and only one resonance peak emerges in bilayer film in the negative circularly polarized microwave *** the microwave field’s frequency exceeds the film’s resonance frequency,the Faraday rotation angle of the ferromagnetic film is the greatest,and it decreases when the thickness of the two halves of the bilayer is *** the microwave field’s frequency remains constant,the Faraday rotation angle fluctuates with temperature in the same manner as spontaneous magnetization *** a DC magnetic field is applied in the direction of the anisotropic axis of the film,the Faraday rotation angle varies with the DC magnetic field and shows a similar shape of the hysteresis loop.

The total chromatic number xT（G） of a graph G is the minimum number of colors needed to color the elements（vertices and edges） of G such that no adjacent or incident pair of elements receive the same color, G is called Type 1 if xT（G） =△（G）＋1. In this paper we prove that the join of a complete bipartite graph Km,n and a cycle Cn is of Type 1.

Essential Players in Cooperative Games with Graph Communication Structure

A class of cooperative games with graph communication structure is studied in this paper by considering some important players,namely essential *** the assumption that only connected coalitions containing essential players are able to cooperate and obtain their worths,the class of graph games with essential players is proposed as well as an allocation *** proposed value follows the spirit of the Myerson value defined by applying the Shapley value on a modified *** properties,feasible component efficiency,the inessential component property,and fairness,are provided to fully characterize this value,where feasible component efficiency and fairness follows the same ideas of component efficiency and fairness for classical graph games,and the inessential component property says that the total payoffs of the players in a non-feasible component is ***,some computational aspects of the proposed value and comparisons with disjunctive permission value for games with permission structure are also studied,respectively.
