N-doped TiO2 nanocrystals were prepared using titanium alkoxide as precipitant with different proportional materials. The products were characterized by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, and UV-vis diffuse reflectance spectra. It is confirmed experimentally that the photocatalytic activity of N-doped TiO2 is much higher than that of Degussa P25, when used for the degradation of crystal violet. The degradation kinetics follows an apparent first-order reaction, which is consistent with a generally observed Langmuir-Hinshelwood mechanism. The doping of TiO2 with nitrogen significantly increases the absorption in the region of visible light. The energy of the band gap of N-doped TiO2 is 2.92 eV. The better performance of N-doped TiO2 can be explained by the fact that it is also excited with longer-wavelength light.

AIM: To study the effects of microcirculation disturbance(MD) on rats with acute severe pancreatitis (ASP).METHODS: We developed ASP rat models, and anatomized separately after 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9 h. We took out blood and did hemorrheologic examination and erythrocyte osmotic fragility test, checked up the water content, capillary permeability, and genetic expression of intercellular adhesion molecule-1 (ICAM-1) in lung tissues, examined the apoptosis degree of blood vessel endothelium while we tested related gene expression of Bax and Bcl-2in lung tissues. We did the same examination in control ***: The viscosity of total blood and plasma, the hematocrit, and the erythrocyte osmotic fragility were all increased. Fibrinogen was decreased. The water content in lung tissues and capillary permeability were *** degree of blood vessel endothelium was increased too. ICAM-1 genetic expression moved up after1 h and reached its peak value after 9 ***: MD plays an important role in ASP following acute lung injury (ALI). The functional damage of blood vessel endothelium, the apoptosis of capillary vessel endothelium, WBC edging-concentration and the increasing of erythrocyte fragility are the main reasons of ALI.

Nitrogen and sulfur doped titanium dioxide photocatalysts were prepared by the sol-gel *** products were characterized by X-ray diffraction （XRD）,transmission electron microscopy （TEM）,and UV-visible diffuse reflectance spectra （DRS）.Photocatalytic activities of the samples were investigated on the degradation of methyl orange （MO）.The effect of the dopants on the electronic structure of TiO2 was studied by the first-principles calculations based on the density functional theory （DFT）.The orbital hybridization resulted in energy gap narrowing and electronic delocalization in the crystal of doped *** electrons of varied energetic states could offer enhanced electron transfer,together with optical absorption *** results show that the doping elements of N and S play a cooperative role in the modification of electronic structure,which enhances the photocatalytic *** experimentally observed absorption edges of N-doped TiO2,S-doped TiO2,and N,S-codoped TiO2 are 420,413,and 429 nm,respectively,which can be explained by the theoretical calculation results.

Ternary TiO2/WO3/graphene （TWG） nanocomposites were prepared by a facile salt-ultrasonic assisted hydrothermal method. The products were characterized by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, and nitrogen adsorption--desorption. Both anatase TiO2 and orthorhombic WO3 formed in the nanocomposites, along with a highly disordered overlay of individual graphene nanosheets. Polyhedral and spherical TiO/and WO3 nanoparticles of uniform size 10-30 nm were densely anchored to the graphene sheets. The maximum specific surface area of the products was 144.59 m2·g^-1. The products showed clear abilities for the removal of Rhodamine B in the absence of illumination. Furthermore, the adsorption activity of the products exhibited only a slight decrease after three successive cycles. The results demonstrate that the ternary nanocomposites could be used as a high-efficiency adsorbent for the removal of environmental contaminants.

BACKGROUND Intersphincteric resection(ISR),the ultimate anus-preserving technique for ultralow rectal cancers,is an alternative to abdominoperineal resection(APR).The failure patterns and risk factors for local recurrence and distant metastasis remain controversial and require further *** To investigate the long-term outcomes and failure patterns after laparoscopic ISR in ultralow rectal *** Patients who underwent laparoscopic ISR(LsISR)at Peking University First Hospital between January 2012 and December 2020 were retrospectively *** analysis was performed using the Chi-square or Pearson's correlation *** factors for overall survival(OS),local recurrence-free survival(LRFS),and distant metastasis-free survival(DMFS)were analyzed using Cox *** We enrolled 368 patients with a median follow-up of 42 *** recurrence and distant metastasis occurred in 13(3.5%)and 42(11.4%)cases,*** 3-year OS,LRFS,and DMFS rates were 91.3%,97.1%,and 90.1%,respectively Multivariate analyses revealed that LRFS was associated with positive lymph node status[hazard ratio(HR)=5.411,95%confidence interval(CI)=1.413-20.722,P=0.014]and poor differentiation(HR=3.739,95%CI:1.171-11.937,P=0.026),whereas the independent prognostic factors for DMFS were positive lymph node status(HR=2.445,95%CI:1.272-4.698,P=0.007)and(y)pT3 stage(HR=2.741,95%CI:1.225-6.137,P=0.014).CONCLUSION This study confirmed the oncological safety of LsISR for ultralow rectal *** differentiation,(y)pT3 stage,and lymph node metastasis are independent risk factors for treatment failure after LsISR,and thus patients with these factors should be carefully managed with optimal neoadjuvant therapy,and for patients with a high risk of local recurrence(N+or poor differentiation),extended radical resection(such as APR instead of ISR)may be more effective.

BACKGROUND It remains unclear whether laparoscopic multisegmental resection and ana-stomosis(LMRA)is safe and advantageous over traditional open multisegmental resection and anastomosis(OMRA)for treating synchronous colorectal cancer(SCRC)located in separate *** To compare the short-term efficacy and long-term prognosis of OMRA as well as LMRA for SCRC located in separate *** Patients with SCRC who underwent surgery between January 2010 and December 2021 at the Cancer Hospital,Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and the Peking University First Hospital were retrospectively *** accordance with the RESULTS LMRA patients showed markedly less intraoperative blood loss than OMRA patients(100 vs 200 mL,P=0.006).Compared to OMRA patients,LMRA patients exhibited markedly shorter postoperative first exhaust time(2 vs 3 d,P=0.001),postoperative first fluid intake time(3 vs 4 d,P=0.012),and postoperative hospital stay(9 vs 12 d,P=0.002).The incidence of total postoperative complications(Clavien-Dindo grade:≥II)was 2.9%and 17.1%(P=0.025)in the LMRA and OMRA groups,respectively,while the incidence of anastomotic leakage was 2.9%and 7.3%(P=0.558)in the LMRA and OMRA groups,***,the LMRA group had a higher mean number of lymph nodes dissected than the OMRA group(45.2 vs 37.3,P=0.020).The 5-year overall survival(OS)and disease-free survival(DFS)rates in OMRA patients were 82.9%and 78.3%,respectively,while these rates in LMRA patients were 78.2%and 72.8%,*** prognostic analysis revealed that N stage[OS:HR hazard ratio(HR)=10.161,P=0.026;DFS:HR=13.017,P=0.013],but not the surgical method(LMRA/OMRA)(OS:HR=0.834,P=0.749;DFS:HR=0.812,P=0.712),was the independent influencing factor in the OS and DFS of patients with *** LMRA is safe and feasible for patients with SCRC located in separate *** to OMRA,the LMRA approach has more advantages related to short-term efficacy.

The exploration and utilization of lunar resources have become the major objectives of future lunar exploration missions. The classified collection and processing of lunar minerals is the basic prerequisite for the in-situ exploration and utilization of lunar resources. In this study, we propose a scheme for in-situ separation of magnetic minerals from lunar soils using the dry magnetic separation method. The scheme can realize the purpose of separating magnetic minerals from lunar regolith by altering the motion trajectory of lunar regolith particles with different magnetic properties. Detailed modeling of the dry magnetic separation device is conducted, and the three-dimensional distribution of magnetic parameters is calculated and analyzed. Based on the characterization and analysis of the Chang E-5's samples, the morphologies and physical parameters of lunar regolith particles are modeled and simulated. A discrete element simulation of the motion process of lunar regolith particles under multi-physical field conditions is performed, and the influences of key parameters on the beneficiation performance of lunar magnetic minerals are investigated. Our results indicate that optimal separation and beneficiation of lunar regolith particles can be achieved under specific conditions of magnetic field strength and drum speed. Additionally, we analyze the effects of lunar weak gravity conditions and the charged nature of lunar particles on the beneficiation process, showing that these factors can obviously enhance the beneficiation process of lunar ilmenites. This study demonstrates the feasibility of using the dry magnetic separation method for the beneficiation of magnetic minerals from lunar regolith, providing a theoretical basis for the scientific tasks of collecting, processing, and utilizing lunar mineral resources.
