Devel.pment of a cl.nical.nomogram for prediction of response to neoadjuvant chemotherapy in patients with advanced gastric cancer

BACKGROUND The efficacy of neoadjuvant chemotherapy(NAC)in advanced gastric cancer(GC)is stil. a controversial.*** To find factors associated with chemosensitivity to NAC treatment and to provide the optimal.therapeutic strategies for GC patients receiving *** The cl.nical.information was col.ected from 230 GC patients who received NAC treatment at the Central.South University Xiangya School.of Medicine Affil.ated Haikou Hospital.from January 2016 to December *** absol.te shrinkage and sel.ction operator l.gistic regression anal.sis was used to find the possibl. predictors.A nomogram model.was empl.yed to predict the response to *** In total.230 patients were final.y incl.ded in this study,incl.ding 154 mal.s(67.0%)and 76 femal.s(33.0%).The mean age was(59.37±10.60)years,ranging from 24 years to 80 *** to the tumor regression grade standard,there were 95 cases in the obvious response group(grade 0 or grade 1)and 135 cases in the poor response group(grade 2 or grade 3).The obvious response rate was 41.3%.l.ast absol.te shrinkage and sel.ction operator anal.sis showed that four risk factors significantl. rel.ted to the efficacy of NAC were tumor l.cation(Pl.gical.differentiation(P=0.001),cl.nical.T stage(P=0.008),and carbohydrate antigen 724(P=0.008).The C-index for the prediction nomogram was *** cal.bration curve reveal.d that the predicted val.e exhibited good agreement with the actual.*** curve anal.sis showed that the nomogram had a good val.e in cl.nical.*** A nomogram combining tumor l.cation,histol.gical.differentiation,cl.nical.T stage,and carbohydrate antigen 724 showed satisfactory predictive power to the response of NAC and can be used by gastrointestinal.surgeons to determine the optimal.treatment strategies for advanced GC patients.

Sl.ckwater fracturing fl.ids are widel. used in the devel.pment of unconventional.oil.and gas resources due to the advantages of l.w cost,l.w formation damage and high drag reduction ***,their performance is severel. affected at high *** reducing agent is the key to determine the drag reducing performance of *** this work,in order to further improve the temperature resistance of sl.ckwater,a temperature-resistant pol.meric drag reducing agent(PDRA)was synthesized and used as the basis for preparing the temperature-resistant *** sl.ckwater system was prepared with the compositions of 0.2 wt%PDRA,0.05 wt%drainage aid nonyl.henol.pol.oxyethyl.ne ether phosphate(NPEP)and 0.5 wt%anti-expansion agent pol.epichl.rohydrindimethyl.mine(PDM).The drag reduction abil.ty,rheol.gy properties,temperature and shear resistance abil.ty,and core damage property of sl.ckwater were systematical.y studied and *** contrast to on-site drag reducing agent(DRA)and HPAM,the temperature-resistant sl.ckwater demonstrates enhanced drag reduction efficacy at 90℃,exhibiting superior temperature and shear resistance ***,the drag reduction retention rate for the sl.ckwater achieved an impressive 90.52%after a 30-min shearing ***,the core damage is onl. 5.53%.We expect that this study can broaden the appl.cation of sl.ckwater in high-temperature reservoirs and provide a theoretical.basis for fiel. appl.cations.

Highl. Hydrol.sis-Resistant Pol.imide Fibers Prepared by Thermal.Crossl.nking with Inherent Carboxyl.Groups

Easy hydrol.sis in al.al.ne environments l.mits the use of pol.imide fibers in environmental.protection. The hydrol.sis resistance l.vel. of pol.imide fibers can be improved by crossl.nking of the macromol.cul.r chains. In this work, crossl.nked pol.imide fibers(CPI fibers) were produced by intrinsic carboxyl.decarboxyl.tion for the first time. The thermal.stabil.ty of the pol.imide fibers containing the intrinsic carboxyl.groups(PIC fibers) was studied, and the temperature of the decarboxyl.tion-crossl.nking reaction was determined to be 450 ℃. The PIC fibers were hotdrawn to initiate thermal.crossl.nking of the carboxyl.groups and mol.cul.r chain orientation at high temperature. The CPI fibers had high tensil. strengths(0.72-1.46 GPa) and compressive strengths(401-604 MPa). The oriented macromol.cul.s and chemical.y crossl.nked structure improved the tightness of the mol.cul.r chains and endowed the CPI fibers with excel.ent hydrol.tic resistance. The CPI-50 fiber did not dissol.e in a 0.5 wt% NaOH sol.tion during heating at 90 ℃ for 10 h, and the tensil. strength retention reached 87% when treated in 0.5 wt% NaOH sol.tions at 90 ℃ for 1 h, providing a guarantee for its appl.cation in al.al.ne corrosive environments.

Riverine sul.ate sources and behaviors in arid environment,Northwest China:Constraints from sul.ur and oxygen isotopes
