Ferroptosis,an iron-dependent form of regulated cell death driven by peroxidative damages of polyunsatu-rated-fatty-acid-containing phospholipids in cellular membranes,has recently been revealed to play an important role in radiotherapy-induced cell death and tumor suppression,and to mediate the synergy between radiotherapy and *** this review,we summarize known as well as putative mechanisms underlying the crosstalk between radiotherapy and fer-roptosis,discuss the interactions between ferroptosis and other forms of regulated cell death induced by radiotherapy,and explore combination therapeutic strategies targeting ferroptosis in radiotherapy and *** review will provide important frameworks for future investigations of ferroptosis in cancer therapy.

Systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE),the most common form of lupus,is a chronic autoimmune disorder characterized by a global loss of self-tolerance and hyper-activation of both innate and adaptive immune systems(Kaul et al.,2016).Neutrophils,the most abundant leukocytes in human blood,have a critical role in maintaining immune surveillance and tissue homeostasis,and its dysregulation is of high relevance to SLE(Ricklin et al.,2010).In patients with SLE,accelerated neutrophil death and the deficiency in clearing dying neutrophils cause nuclear and cytoplasmic antigen exposure,excessive production of type I interferon(IFN),and neutrophil extracellular trap(NET)release,subsequently inducing autoimmune responses(Garcia-Romo et al.,2011).Dysregulated neutrophil death is believed to be a major cause of SLE;however,the underlying mechanism of neutrophil death in SLE is not well-defined.

Ferroptosis,a form of iron-dependent regulated cell death caused by excessive accumulation of lipid hydroperoxides,has been associated with various pathological conditions and diseases[1].Excessive ferroptosis has been causally associated with acute kidney injury,cardiovascular,neurodegenerative and hepatic diseases,whereas impaired ferroptosis in premalignant cells has been shown to contribute to tumor development[2,3].To escape from ferroptotic cell death,cells have been equipped with several antioxidant defense systems against lipid peroxidation(Figure 1).Glutathione peroxidase 4(GPX4)suppresses ferroptosis by converting lipid hydroperoxides into non-toxic lipid alcohols at the expense of its cofactor glutathione(GSH)[4].Ferroptosis suppressor protein-1(FSP1,also known as AIFM2),a NAD(P)H-dependent oxidoreductase located on the plasma membrane,catalyzes the reduction of ubiquinone to ubiquinol,a radical trapping antioxidant that suppresses ferroptosis independent of the GSH-GPX4 axis[5,6].In addition,dihydroorotate dehydrogenase(DHODH),an enzyme involved in the de novo pyrimidine biosynthesis pathway,inhibits ferroptosis by reducing ubiquinone to ubiquinol in the inner mitochondrial membrane[7].

The highly diverse genus Trichoderma has provided many formulations that are alternatives to the chemical pesticides in *** present study was undertaken to investigate the biocontrol potential of eight Trichoderma species,***,***,***,***,***,***,*** and ***,against the phytopathogenic fungus Rhizoctonia *** isolates were first evaluated in vitro by dual culture tests for their antagonism,mycoparasitic ability and antifungal activity against *** growth promoting potential was further assessed in relation to phosphate solubilization,indole acetic acid and siderophore *** of the isolates were selected and evaluated for their abilities to prompt plant growth and to control *** infecting Vigna unguiculata(cowpea)seedlings in *** most effective isolates,*** 9185 and *** 8702,significantly(P<0.05)reduced the disease severity incidences(36.6 and 45.0%,respectively)and promoted plant growth,which have good prospects for application.

This paper investigates the problem of almost sure limit theorem for the maximum of quasi-stationary sequence based on the result of Turkman and Walker. We prove an almost sure limit theorem for the maximum of a class of quasi-stationary sequence under weak dependence conditions of D （uk, un） and αtm,ln = 0 （（log log n）-（1＋ε））.

Shaking Table Model Test of Isolated Structure on Soft Site and Analysis on Its Isolation Efficiency

Adopting a soft site model built on soft interlayer soil foundation,a shaking table test for soft interlayer soil-isolated structure interaction is conducted to investigate the seismic response of isolated structure on soft site,and analyze its isolation *** results show that the test can reflect the earthquake response characteristics of isolated structure on soft *** is on soft site that the dynamic characteristics of isolated structure,acceleration magnification factor(AMF)of isolated structure and isolation efficiency of the isolation layer differ from those on rigid foundation with an soil-structure interaction(SSI)effect,represented by the reduction in fundamental vibration frequency of isolated structure and the increase of damping ratio with changes of the SSI *** can either increase or decrease AMF of isolated structure on soft site,depending on the characteristics of earthquake motion ***,the isolation efficiency of isolation layer on soft site is decreased with the SSI effect,which is related to the peak ground acceleration(PGA)and the characteristics of earthquake motion input.

Streamer discharges in liquids have received lots of attention with respect to their considerable applications invarious disciplines. Much effort has been spent to understand the basis of streamer ignition and propagation in dielectricliquids, but a comprehensive mechanism is far from conclusive. In this review, based on an introduction to the streamerphysics and experimentally observed characteristics in various liquids, the authors emphasise on the current status ofstreamer discharge ignition mechanisms and present their understanding for each theory.
