While doxorubicin(DOX)is one of the most common chemotherapeutic drugs for treating cancer,use of DOX must be managed carefully due to dose-related ***(ND)drug delivery system conjugated with DOX(NDX)has been reported to enhance treatment efficacy and attenuate toxicity in murine cancer *** addition,extensive biocompatibility studies indicate that NDs seem to be well tolerated in non-human *** the clinical translation of NDX,it is necessary to verify the safety of ND in large *** of nanomedicine drug safety for large animal are not commonly reported,and this work represents a key milestone in bridging earlier advances towards clinical ***,NDs’safety as a drug-delivery platform was evaluated in Naïve Beagle *** study is performed with DOX,ND,and NDX in a dual-gender animal model using intravenous(IV)injection and hepatic portal vein(HPV)injection *** dogs are monitored for their health phenotype changes in continuous 5 *** and urine obtained are for clinical pathology *** results indicate that ND drug delivery platform significantly relieves DOX toxicity for Naïve Beagle dog *** study provides guidance for the pre-clinical safety assessment of NDX therapy at large animal level.

Objective: To understand the function of nicotinamide N-methyltransferase (NNMT) protein as tumor biomarker in renal carcinoma. Methods: Recombinant NNMT protein was used to prepare monoclonal antibodies by hybridoma technique. The diagnostic and prognostic function of NNMT protein in renal carcinoma was evaluated by analyzing 74 renal cancer tissues through immunohistochemical staining for NNMT by using the prepared antibodies. Results: Two hybridomas named 2F8 and 1E7 stably secreting the monoclonal antibodies were isolated successfully, and characters such as isotypes and specificity were determined. NNMT protein was significantly up-regulated in renal cancer and significantly associated with tumor histology and ages. The univariate survival analysis demonstrated that the pT-status, high levels of NNMT, and distant metastasis were significant prognosticators. Conclusion: NNMT is over-expressed in a large proportion in renal cell cancers. High NNMT expression is significantly associated with unfavorable prognosis. However, the prognostic value of NNMT needs further verification in larger sample sizes.

Noninvasive in vivo study of NADH fluorescence and its real-time intrinsic dynamical changes: Experiments and seven-layered skin model Monte Carlo simulations

Reduced nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide(NADH)plays a crucial role in many biochemical reactions in human *** this work,a flow-mediated skin fluorescence(FMSF)-postocclusion reactive hyperaemia(PORH)system was developed for noninvasive and in vivo measurement of NADH fluorescence and its real-time dynamical changes in human skin *** real-time dynamical changes of NADH fluorescence were analyzed with the changes of skin blood flow measured by laser speckle contrast imaging(LSCI)experiments simultaneously with FMSFPORH measurements,which suggests that the dynamical changes of NADH fluorescence would be mainly correlated with the intrinsic changes of NADH level in the skin *** addition,Monte Carlo simulations were applied to understand the impact of optical property changes on the dynamical changes of NADH fluorescence during the PORH process,which further supports that the dynamical changes of NADH fluorescence measured in our system would be intrinsic changes of NADH level in the skin tissue.

Aromatization over nanosized Ga-containing ZSM-5 zeolites prepared by different methods:Effect of acidity of active Ga species on the catalytic performance

Nanosized Ga-containing ZSM-5 zeolites were prepared via isomorphous substitution and impregnation followed by characterized using various techniques. The catalytic performance of the zeolites for the aromatization of 1-hexene was investigated. The results indicate that isomorphous substitution promotes the incorporation of Ga heteroatoms into the framework along with the formation of extra-framework GaO;species（[GaO;]a） that have stronger interactions with the negative potential of the framework. In addition, based on the Py-IR results and catalytic performance, the [GaO;]aspecies with stronger Lewis acid sites produced a better synergism with moderate Br?nsted acid sites and thus improved the selectivity to aromatic compounds. However, the impregnation results in the formation of Ga;O;phase and small amounts of GaO;species that are mainly located on the external surface（[GaO;];）, which contribute to weaker Lewis acid sites due to weaker interactions with the zeolite framework. During 1-hexene aromatization, the nanosized Ga isomorphously substituted ZSM-5 zeolite samples（Gax-NZ5） exhibited better catalytic performance compared to the impregnated samples, and the highest aromatic yield（i.e.,65.4 wt%） was achieved over the Ga4.2-NZ5 sample, which contained with the highest Ga content.

Government subsidy,Investment and Financing Constraints,and the Formation of Zombie Companies

Zombie companies have serious adverse effects on economic *** relationship between government subsidies and zombie companies is a focus in China’s supply-side structural *** this paper,we classify companies into two categories:investment-constrained companies lacking investment opportunities,and fi nancing-constrained companies with limited sources of *** on data of A-share listed companies from 2007 to 2016,this paper examines the relationship between government subsidies and the zombification of companies subject to different types of *** find that more government subsidies have been allotted to investment-constrained companies than financing-constrained ones;government subsidy is one of the various factors that have contributed to company zombification,but the correlation is only significant for investment-constrained companies;financing subsidy dedicated to expanding corporate financing is more effective in helping investment-constrained companies than government subsidies in general,but neither government subsidies nor financing subsidies are effective in preventing investment-constrained companies from turning into *** the robustness test that controls the endogeneity problem of reverse causality,replaces proxy variables,lags subsidy variables and discusses the zombification of loss-making enterprises,the results are still *** paper provides a heterogeneous perspective to study the connection between government subsidies and the formation of zombie companies,and in view of subsidy mismatch,puts forward recommendations regarding the use of government subsidies.

State Fragmentation and Rights Contestation:Rural Land Development Rights in China

The functionalist reasoning of institutional changes builds on individual rationality and explains institutional changes from the demand side. While insightful, a comprehensive understanding also needs to take into account the supply side, The state, as the ultimate supplier of institutional changes, plays the pivotal role of agency; therefore, its willingness and ability decide how such regime change occurs and what partieular form the new regime takes. Since the mid-1990s, the Chinese economy has embarked on a path of rapid industrialization and urbanization. The contestation over rural land development rights in China offers an excellent case to illuminate the importance of state agency in institutional changes. Drawing on case studies in China＇s three major urbanizing regions, this article analyzes how villages brought their own land directly to the land market and reaped handsome profits. We argue that the three successful cases, Nanhai in guangdong, Kunshan in Jiangsu and Zhenggezhuang in Beijing, all represent a product of active agency on the supply side. The Chinese state＇s fragmented authority provides a favorable institutional environment for such changes.

Size analysis of slag eye formed by gas blowing in ladle refining

The formation of slag eye in a gas stirred ladle was studied through cold models and industrial trials. In the cold model,water and sodium tungstate solution were employed to simulate liquid steel,and silicon oil was employed to simulate slag. The simulation results revealed that the gas flow rate and bath height had strong effects on the slag eye size. In particular,the thickness of slag layer played a strong role in the slag eye size. In addition,the slag eye could not be formed when the thickness of the top layer was more than 4 cm in water-silicone oil ***,the section area of vessel had a great impact on the slag eye size. Industrial trials results showed a similar trend that the gas flow rate was very significant on the slag eye size. The predictions of the existing models showed larger predictions deviations compared with the experimental data. Moreover,a new model without fitting parameters was developed based on force balance and mathematical derivation,and verified by the experimental data. The new model provides the prediction with small deviations by comparing with the data acquired from cold models and industrial trials.

N-heterocyclic olefins(NHOs)possess an electron-rich and highly polarized C=C double bond due to the donating property of nitrogen *** feature imparts exocyclic carbon atom of NHOs with strong basicity and high *** NHOs have been emerging as a new type of organocatalyst and ligand for metal complexes in organic synthesis,chiral NHOmediated highly enantioselective organic transformations were still ***,we developed a new type of chiral aminederived C_(2)-symmetric NHOs and employed them as efficient chiral bifunctional organocatalysts for asymmetricα-functionalization ofβ-*** as low as 0.1 mol%catalyst loading,the desired amination and trifluoromethylthiolation products were afforded in good yields with high enantioselectivities(up to 99%yield and 99%ee).Experimental studies and theoretical calculation disclosed that hydrogen-bonding interaction upon protonation and other weak interaction between substrate and catalyst were crucial for the enantiocontrol.
