Haploidentical hematopoietic stem cell transplantation for pediatric patients with chronic active Epstein-Barr virus infection:a retrospective analysis of a single center

Background This study aimed to evaluate the feasibility and clinical effect of haploidentical hematopoietic stem cell transplantation(haplo-HSCT)for the treatment of pediatric patients with chronic active Epstein-Barr virus infection(CAEBV).Methods Children with CAEBV who did not have matched donors and underwent haplo-HSCT in Beijing Children's Hospital,Capital Medical University,from October 2016 to June 2020 were analyzed *** relating to the clinical manifestations,engraftment,and prognosis of the children were extracted from medical *** Twenty-five patients,including 16 males and 9 females,with an onset age of 5.0±2.6 years and a transplantation age of 6.9±2.9 years,were enrolled irnhis *** mean time from diagnosis to transplantation was 3.8(2.0-40.2)*** mean observation time was 19.0±12.0 *** patients received the reduced intensity conditioning regimen,and the remaining patients all received the modified myeloablative conditioning *** the end of the follow-up,23 patients were characterized by disease-free survival(DFS),22 were characterized by event-free survival(EFS).and two *** of the patients died of thrombotic microangiopathy(TMA),and another died of graft versus host disease(GVHD);this patient discontinued the treatment for economic *** 3-year overall survival(OS)rate was estimated to be 92.0%±5.4%,and the 3-year EFS rate was estimated to be 87.4%±6.8%.All active patients survived after HSCT *** GVHD degrees 1-3 were observed in ten patients(40.0%),and degree IV was observed in six(24.0%),who were all cured except for one *** GVHD was observed in nine(36.0%),and most of these cases were *** incidence of TMA and veno-occlusive disease(VOD)was 28.0%and 4.0%.Conclusions Haploidentical hematopoietic stem cell transplantation is safe and effective in the treatment of pediatric CAEBV and can be used as an alternative therapy without matched donors or emergency tr

BACKGROUND： The elevation of neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio （NLR） has adverse effects on the prognosis of patients with hepatocellular carcinoma （HCC） who have received liver transplantation （LT）. Sleep disturbances are among the most prevalent neuropsychiatric symptoms in individuals who have recovered from severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 *** studies have demonstrated abnormal brain structures in patients with sleep disturbances who have recovered from coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19).However,neuroimaging studies on sleep disturbances caused by COVID-19 are scarce,and existing studies have primarily focused on the long-term effects of the virus,with minimal acute phase *** a result,little is known about the pathophysiology of sleep disturbances in the acute phase of *** address this issue,we designed a longitudinal study to investigate whether alterations in brain structure occur during the acute phase of infection,and verified the results using 3-month follow-up data.A total of 26 COVID-19 patients with sleep disturbances(aged 51.5±13.57 years,8 women and 18 men),27 COVID-19 patients without sleep disturbances(aged 47.33±15.98 years,9 women and 18 men),and 31 age-and gender-matched healthy controls(aged 49.19±17.51 years,9 women and 22 men)were included in this *** COVID-19 patients with sleep disturbances were included in a longitudinal *** found that COVID-19 patients with sleep disturbances exhibited brain structural changes in almost all brain *** cortical thicknesses of the left pars opercularis and left precuneus were significantly negatively correlated with Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index ***,we observed changes in the volume of the hippocampus and its subfield regions in COVID-19 patients compared with the healthy *** 3-month follow-up data revealed indices of altered cerebral structure(cortical thickness,cortical grey matter volume,and cortical surface area)in the frontal-parietal cortex compared with the baseline in COVID-19 patients with sleep *** findings indicate that the sleep disturbances patients had altered morphology in the cortical an

Simulation and reliability analysis of shunt active power filter based on instantaneous reactive power theory

This paper first discusses the operating principle of instantaneous reactive power theory. Then, the theory is introduced into shunt active power filter and its control scheme is studied. Finally, Matlab/Simulink power system toolbox is used to simulate the system. In the simulation model, as the most common harmonic source, 3-phase thyristor bridge rectifier circuit is constructed. The simulation results before and after the shunt active filter was switched to the system corresponding to different firing angles of the thyristors are presented and analyzed, which demonstrate the practicability and reliability of the proposed shunt active filter scheme.

Models of above-ground tree biomass have been widely used to estimate forest biomass using national forest inventory ***,many sources of uncertainty affect above-ground biomass estimation and are challenging to *** this study,the uncertainties associated with the measurement error in independent variables(diameter at breast height,tree height),residual variability,variances of the parameter estimates,and the sampling variability of national inventory data are estimated for five above-ground biomass *** results show sampling variability is the most significant source of *** measurement error and residual variability have negligible effects on forests above-ground biomass ***,a reduction in the uncertainty of the sampling variability has the greatest potential to decrease the overall *** power model containing only the diameter at breast height has the smallest *** findings of this study provide suggestions to achieve a trade-off between accuracy and cost for above-ground biomass estimation using field work.

Resolution Enhancement of SOHO/MDI Magnetograms

Research on the solar magnetic field and its effects on solar dynamo mechanisms and space weather events has benefited from the continual improvements in instrument resolution and measurement *** augmentation and assimilation of historical observational data timelines also play a significant role in understanding the patterns of solar magnetic field *** the realm of astronomical data processing,super-resolution(SR)reconstruction refers to the process of using a substantial corpus of training data to learn the nonlinear mapping between low-resolution(LR)and high-resolution(HR)images,thereby achieving higherresolution astronomical *** paper is an application study in high-dimensional nonlinear *** learning models were employed to perform SR modeling on SOHO/MDI magnetograms and SDO/HMI magnetograms,thus reliably achieving resolution enhancement of full-disk SOHO/MDI magnetograms and enhancing the image resolution to obtain more detailed *** this study,a data set comprising 9717pairs of data from 2010 April to 2011 February was used as the training set,1332 pairs from 2011 March were used as the validation set and 1034 pairs from 2011 April were used as the test *** data preprocessing,we randomly cropped 128×128 sub-images as the LR cases from the full-disk MDI magnetograms,and the corresponding 512×512 sub-images as HR ones from the HMI full-disk magnetograms for model *** tests conducted have shown that the study successfully produced reliable 4×SR reconstruction of full-disk MDI *** MESR model's results(0.911)were highly correlated with the target HMI magnetographs as indicated by the correlation coefficient ***,the method achieved the best PSNR,SSIM,MAE and RMSE values,indicating that the MESR model can effectively reconstruct magnetograms.

The sluggish kinetics behaviors and vast volume variations of Na^(+)hosts to FeS_(2)anode involved intercalation,and conversion reactions plague its applicability of sodium-ion batteries(SIBs).Here,a significantly expedited kinetics via cation intercalation and considerably relieved stress accumulation by constructing the concave scaffold protector are approached for FeS_(2)*** Mn^(2+)intercalation into FeS_(2),a new stable Mn-FeS_(2)was generated with distorted coordination;elevated antibonding orbital occupancy and lowed d band center to the release of more free Na^(+)were achieved,which was further encapsulated by hollow bowl-like carbon spheres(BC)This cation intercalation and concave morphology strategies confer Mn-FeS_(2)@BC significantly enhanced electron ion transport kinetics via reversed electron transfer to FeS_(2)fast desolvation kinetics,and evidently depressed structural deformation during Na^(+)insertion and ***,Mn-FeS_(2)@BC delivers the longevity and stable Na^(+)storage capacity in both half and full cell ***,Mn-FeS_(2)@BC also displays excellen adaptability in a wider temperature *** work proposes new views into the deep regulation of electrochemical performance of transition metal anodes via intercalation chemistry and concave engineering.

Development of an enhanced online tritium monitoring system using plastic scintillation fiber array

Tritium,a radioactive nuclide discharged by nuclear power plants,poses challenges for *** online monitoring of tritium in water is crucial for real-time radiation data,given its predominant existence in the environment as *** paper presents the design,simulation,and development of a tritium monitoring device utilizing a plastic scintillation fiber(PSF)*** validation confirmed the device’s detection efficiency and minimum detectable *** recorded detection efficiency of the device is 1.6×10^(-3),which exceeds the theoretically simulated value of 4×10^(-4)by four *** shielding,the device can achieve a minimum detectable activity of 3165 Bq L^(-1)over a 1600-second measurement *** to simulation and experimental results,enhancing detection efficiency is possible by increasing the number and length of PSFs and implementing rigorous shielding ***,reducing the diameter of PSFs can also improve detection *** minimum detectable activity of the device can be further reduced using the aforementioned methods.
