Therapeutic effect of Qingyi decoction in severe acute pancreatitis-induced intestinal barrier injury

AIM: To investigate the effect of Qingyi decoction onthe expression of secreted phospholipase A2(s PLA2) in intestinal barrier ***: Fifty healthy Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into control, severe acute pancreatitis(SAP), Qingyi decoction-treated(QYT), dexamethasonetreated(DEX), and verapamil-treated(VER) groups. The SAP model was induced by retrograde infusion of 1.5% sodium deoxycholate into the biliopancreatic duct of the rats. All rats were sacrificed 24 h post-SAP induction. Arterial blood, intestine, and pancreas from each rat were harvested for investigations. The levels of serum amylase(AMY) and diamine oxidase(DAO) were determined using biochemical methods, and serum tumor necrosis factor(TNF)-α level was measured by an enzyme linked immunosorbent assay. Pathologic changes in the harvested tissues were investigated by microscopic examination of hematoxylin and eosinstained tissue sections. The expressions of s PLA2 at m RNA and protein levels were detected by reverse transcriptase PCR and Western blot, respectively. A terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase-mediated d UTP nick-end labeling assay was used to investigate apoptosis of epithelial cells in the intestinal tissues. RESULTS: Compared to the control group, the expression of s PLA2 at both the m RNA and protein levels increased significantly in the SAP group(0.36 ± 0.13 vs 0.90 ± 0.38, and 0.16 ± 0.05 vs 0.64 ± 0.05, respectively; P s < 0.01). The levels of AMY, TNF-α and DAO in serum were also significantly increased(917 ± 62 U/L vs 6870 ± 810 U/L, 59.7 ± 14.3 ng/L vs 180.5 ± 20.1 ng/L, and 10.37 ± 2.44 U/L vs 37.89 ± 5.86 U/L, respectively; P s < 0.01). The apoptosis index of intestinal epithelial cells also differed significantly between the SAP and control rats(0.05 ± 0.02 vs 0.26 ± 0.06; P < 0.01). High-fidelity universal quantum gates for hybrid systems via the practical photon scattering

High-fidelity quantum logic gates are essential in quantum computation,and both photons and electron spins in quantum dots(QDs)have their own unique advantages in implementing quantum *** is of critical significance to achieve high-fidelity quantum gates for photon-QD hybrid ***,we propose two schemes for implementing high-fidelity universal quantum gates including Toffoli gate and Fredkin gate for photon-QD hybrid systems,utilizing the practical scattering of a single photon off a QD-cavity *** computation errors from the imperfections involved in the practical scattering are detected and prevented from arising in the final results of the two ***,the unity fidelity of each quantum gate is obtained in the nearly realistic condition,and the requirement for experimental realization is ***,the quantum circuits for the two gates are compact and no auxiliary qubits are required,which would also be the advantages regarding their experimental *** features indicate that our schemes may be useful in the practical quantum computation tasks.

The synergy of single atoms(SAs)and nanoparticles(NPs)has demonstrated great potential in promoting the electrocatalytic carbon dioxide reduction reaction(CO_(2)RR);however,the rationalization of the SAs/NPs proportion remains one challenge for the catalyst ***,a Ni2+-loaded porous poly(ionic liquids)(PIL)precursor synthesized through the free radical self-polymerization of the ionic liquid monomer,1-allyl-3-vinylimidazolium chloride,was pyrolyzed to prepare the Ni,N co-doped carbon materials,in which the proportion of Ni SAs and NPs could be facilely modulated by controlling the annealing *** catalyst Ni-NC-1000 with a moderate proportion of Ni SAs and NPs exhibited high efficiency in the electrocatalytic conversion of CO_(2)into *** Ni K-edge X-ray absorption near-edge structure(XANES)spectra and theoretical calculations were conducted to gain insight into the synergy of Ni SAs and *** charge transfer from Ni NPs to the surrounding carbon layer and then to the Ni SAs resulted in the electron-enriched Ni SAs active *** the electroreduction of CO_(2),the coexistence of Ni SAs and NPs strengthened the CO_(2)activation and the affinity towards the key intermediate of*COOH,lowering the free energy for the potential-determining*CO_(2)→*COOH step,and therefore promoted the catalysis efficiency.

Global interest in lithium-sulfur batteries as one of the most promising energy storage technologies has been sparked by their low sulfur cathode cost,high gravimetric,volumetric energy densities,abundant resources,and environmental ***,their practical application is significantly impeded by several serious issues that arise at the cathode-electrolyte interface,such as interface structure degradation including the uneven deposition of Li_(2)S,unstable cathode-electrolyte interphase(CEI)layer and intermediate polysulfide shuttle ***,an optimized cathode-electrolyte interface along with optimized electrodes is required for overall ***,we comprehensively outline the challenges and corresponding strategies,including electrolyte optimization to create a dense CEI layer,regulating the Li_(2)S deposition pattern,and inhibiting the shuttle effect with regard to the solid-liquid-solid pathway,the transformation from solid-liquid-solid to solid-solid pathway,and solid-solid pathway at the cathode-electrolyte *** order to spur more perceptive research and hasten the widespread use of lithium-sulfur batteries,viewpoints on designing a stable interface with a deep comprehension are also put forth.

Extraction of gravel characteristics and spatial inversion for ecological restoration monitoring in the Northern Tibetan Plateau
