Developing antibiotics-independent antibacterial agents is of great importance since antibiotic therapy faces great challenges from drug *** oxide(GO)is a promising agent due to its natural antibacterial mechanisms,such as sharp edgemediated cutting ***,the antibacterial activity of GO is limited by its negative charge and low photothermal ***,the amino-functionalized GO nanosheets(AGO)with unique three-in-one properties were *** essential properties(positive charge,strong photothermal effect,and natural cutting effect)were integrated into *** positive charge(30 mV)rendered AGO a strong interaction force with model pathogen Streptococcus mutans(330 nN).The natural cutting effect of 100 ng·mL^(-1)AGO caused 27%loss of bacterial viability after incubation for 30 *** importantly,upon the near-infrared irradiation for just 5 min,the three-in-one properties of AGO caused 98%viability *** conclusion,the short irradiation period and the tunable antibacterial activity confer the three-in-one AGO a great potential for clinical use.

Lamellar calcite veins are prevalent in carbonate-rich,lacustrine dark *** formation mechanisms of these veins have been extensively debated,focusing on factors such as timing,depth,material source,and driving *** paper examines dark lacustrine shale lamellar calcite veins in the Paleogene strata of Dongying Depression,using various analytical techniques:petrography,isotope geochemistry,cathodoluminescence,inclusion thermometry,and electron probe *** distinct types of calcite veins have been identified:granular calcite veins and sparry calcite *** two types differ significantly in color,grain structure,morphology,and *** further investigation,it was observed that vein generation occurred from the shallow burial period to the maturation of organic matter,with a transition from granular calcite veins to sparry calcite *** granular calcite veins exhibit characteristics associated with the shallow burial period,including plastically deformed laminae and veins,the development of strawberry pyrite,the absence of oil and gas,weak fractionation in oxygen isotopes,and their contact relationship with sparry calcite *** granular calcite veins were likely influenced by the reduction of sulfate *** the other hand,sparry calcite veins with fibrous grains are antitaxial and closely linked to the evolution and maturation of organic *** contain oil and gas inclusions and show a distribution range of homogenization temperature between 90℃ and 120℃ and strong fractionation in oxygen isotopes,indicating formation during the hydrocarbon expulsion *** carbon isotope analysis of the surrounding rocks and veins suggests that the material for vein formation originates from the shale itself,specifically authigenic micritic calcite modified by the action of *** opening of horizontal fractures and vein formation is likely driven by fluid overpressure resulting from undercompaction and hydrocarb

Flocculation flotation is the most efficient method for recovering fine-grained minerals,and its essence lies in flotation and recovery of *** physical characteristics of flocs are mainly determined by their apparent particle size and structure(density and morphology).Substantial researches have been conducted regarding the effect of floc characteristics on particle settling and water ***,the influence of floc characteristics on flotation has not been widely *** on the floc formation and flocculation flotation,this study reviews the fundamental physical characteristics of flocs from the perspectives of floc particle size and structure,summarizing the interaction between floc particle size and ***,it thoroughly discusses the effect of floc particle size and structure on floc floatability,further revealing the influence of floc characteristics on bubble collision and adhesion and elucidating the mechanisms of interaction between flocs and ***,it is observed that floc particle size is not the only factor influencing flocculation *** the appropriate apparent particle size range,flocs with a compact structure exhibit higher efficiency in bubble collision and adhesion during flotation,thereby resulting in enhanced flotation *** study aims to provide a reference for flocculation flotation,targeting the development of more efficient and refined flocculation flotation processes in the future.

Transition metal dichalcogenides(TMDs)are a promising class of layered materials in the post-graphene era,with extensive research attention due to their diverse alternative elements and fascinating semiconductor *** MX2 layers with different metal and/or chalcogen elements have similar structural parameters but varied optoelectronic properties,providing opportunities for atomically substitutional engineering via partial alteration of metal or/and chalcogenide atoms to produce ternary or quaternary *** resulting multinary TMD layers still maintain structural integrity and homogeneity while achieving tunable(opto)electronic properties across a full range of composition with arbitrary ratios of introduced metal or chalcogen to original counterparts(0–100%).Atomic substitution in TMD layers offers new adjustable degrees of freedom for tailoring crystal phase,band alignment/structure,carrier density,and surface reactive activity,enabling novel and promising *** review comprehensively elaborates on atomically substitutional engineering in TMD layers,including theoretical foundations,synthetic strategies,tailored properties,and superior *** emerging type of ternary TMDs,Janus TMDs,is presented specifically to highlight their typical compounds,fabrication methods,and potential ***,opportunities and challenges for further development of multinary TMDs are envisioned to expedite the evolution of this pivotal field.

Ecosystem service flow is essential for transporting,transforming,and maintaining ecosystem services and connecting supply and *** study attempted to quantitatively assess the supply and demand flows of ecosystem services in the Yangtze River Basin in 2000,2010,and 2020;assess the evolution of the spatial patterns of ecosystem service flow at the provincial,watershed and urban agglomeration scales;and design a zoning standard for ecosystem service *** results showed as follows.1)Between 2000 and 2020,the Yangtze River had a progressive drop in its freshwater supply,water conservation service and carbon sequestration service *** decline rates for these services were measured at 10.90%,11.11%,and 5.17%,*** climate regulation service flow exhibited a pattern of initial fall followed by a subsequent increase,characterized by a decline rate of 35.53%.2)The lowest was the ecosystem service flow in the lower reaches of the Yangtze River and the Yangtze River Delta urban *** supply service flow and water conservation service flow were the highest in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River and the Chengdu-Chongqing urban *** sequestration service flow and climate regulation service flow were the highest in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River Basin and the urban agglomeration in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River.3)From 2000 to 2020,the change ratios of the area proportion of the confluence,flow,and outflow areas in the Yangtze River Basin were 1.06,3.17,and 0.86,*** results of this research could offer decision support for regulating ecosystem services in the Yangtze River Basin,promoting sustainable regional development and achieving rational use of the basin resources.

Plasma-enhanced atomic layer deposition (PEALD) is gaining interest in thin films for laser applications, and post-annealing treatments are often used to improve thin film properties. However, research to improve thin film properties is often based on an expensive and time-consuming trial-and-error process. In this study, PEALD-HfO2 thin film samples were deposited and treated under different annealing atmospheres and temperatures. The samples were characterized in terms of their refractive indices, layer thicknesses and O/Hf ratios. The collected data were split into training and validation sets and fed to multiple back-propagation neural networks with different hidden layers to determine the best way to construct the process–performance relationship. The results showed that the three-hidden-layer back-propagation neural network (THL-BPNN) achieved stable and accurate fitting. For the refractive index, layer thickness and O/Hf ratio, the THL-BPNN model achieved accuracy values of 0.99, 0.94 and 0.94, respectively, on the training set and 0.99, 0.91 and 0.90, respectively, on the validation set. The THL-BPNN model was further used to predict the laser-induced damage threshold of PEALD-HfO2 thin films and the properties of the PEALD-SiO2 thin films, both showing high accuracy. This study not only provides quantitative guidance for the improvement of thin film properties but also proposes a general model that can be applied to predict the properties of different types of laser thin films, saving experimental costs for process optimization.

Prediction of peritoneal free cancer cells in gastric cancer patients by golden-angle radial sampling dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging

Objectiveperitoneal free cancer cells can negatively impact disease progression and patient outcomes in gastric cancer. This study aimed to investigate the feasibility of using golden-angle radial sampling dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (GRASP DCE-MRI) to predict the presence of peritoneal free cancer cells in gastric cancer *** enrolled patients were consecutively divided into analysis and validation groups. Preoperative magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans and perfusion were performed in patients with gastric cancer undergoing surgery, and peritoneal lavage specimens were collected for examination. Based on the peritoneal lavage cytology (PLC) results, patients were divided into negative and positive lavage fluid groups. The data collected included clinical and MR information. A nomogram prediction model was constructed to predict the positive rate of peritoneal lavage fluid, and the validity of the model was verified based on data from the verification *** was no statistical difference between the proportion of PLC-positive cases predicted by GRASP DCE-MR and the actual PLC test. MR tumor stage, tumor thickness, and perfusion parameter Tofts-Ketty model volume transfer constant (Ktrans) were independent predictors of positive peritoneal lavage fluid. The nomogram model featured a concordance index (C-index) of 0.785 and 0.742 for the modeling and validation groups, *** DCE-MR could effectively predict peritoneal free cancer cells in gastric cancer patients. The nomogram model constructed using these predictors may help clinicians to better predict the risk of peritoneal free cancer cells being present in gastric cancer patients.

Objective:Obesity-induced kidney injury contributes to the development of diabetic nephropathy(DN).Here,we identified the functions of ubiquitin-specific peptidase 19(USP19)in HK-2 cells exposed to a combination of high glucose(HG)and free fatty acid(FFA)and determined its association with TGF-beta-activated kinase 1(TAK1).Methods:HK-2 cells were exposed to a combination of HG and ***19 mRNA expression was detected by quantitative RT-PCR(qRT-PCR),and protein analysis was performed by immunoblotting(IB).Cell growth was assessed by Cell Counting Kit-8(CCK-8)viability and 5-ethynyl-2'-deoxyuridine(EdU)proliferation *** cycle distribution and apoptosis were detected by flow *** USP19/TAK1 interaction and ubiquitinated TAK1 levels were assayed by coimmunoprecipitation(Co-IP)assays and ***:In HG+FFA-challenged HK-2 cells,USP19 was highly ***19 knockdown attenuated HG+FFA-triggered growth inhibition and apoptosis promotion in HK-2 ***,USP19 knockdown alleviated HG+FFA-mediated PTEN-induced putative kinase 1(PINK1)/Parkin pathway inactivation and increased mitochondrial reactive oxygen species(ROS)generation in HK-2 ***,USP19 stabilized the TAK1 protein through ***,increased TAK1 expression reversed the USP19 knockdown-mediated phenotypic changes and PINKl/Parkin pathway activation in HG+FFA-challenged HK-2 ***:The findings revealed that USP19 plays a crucial role in promoting HK-2 cell dysfunction induced by combined stimulation with HG and FFAs by stabilizing TAK1,providing a potential therapeutic strategy for combating DN.

Transformation of long-period stacking ordered structures in Mg-Gd-Y-Zn alloys upon synergistic characterization of first-principles calculation and experiment and its effects on mechanical properties
