Thrombolysis and extracorporeal cardiopulmonary resuscitation for cardiac arrest due to pulmonary embolism:A case report

BACKGROUND Type II diabetes mellitus(T2DM)has been associated with increased risk of colon cancer(CC)and worse prognosis in patients with *** effects of T2DM on postoperative chemoresistance rate(CRR)and long-term disease-free survival(DFS)and overall survival(OS)in patients with stage III CC who receive curative resection remain *** To investigate whether T2DM or glycemic control is associated with worse postoperative survival outcomes in stage III *** This retrospective cohort study included 278 patients aged 40-75 years who underwent surgery for stage III CC from 2018 to *** on preoperative T2DM history,the patients were categorized into non-DM(n=160)and DM groups(n=118).The latter was further divided into well-controlled(n=73)and poorly controlled(n=45)groups depending on the status of glycemic ***,OS,and CRR were compared between the groups and Cox regression analysis was used to identify risk *** Patients in the DM and non-DM groups demonstrated similar DFS,OS,and CRR(DFS:72.03%vs 78.75%,P=0.178;OS:81.36%vs 83.12%,P=0.638;CRR:14.41%vs 7.5%,P=0.063).Poorly controlled DM was associated with a significantly worse prognosis and higher CRR than well-controlled DM(DFS:62.22%vs 78.07%,P=0.021;OS:71.11%vs 87.67%,P=0.011;CRR:24.40%vs 8.22%,P=0.015).High preoperative fasting plasma glucose[DFS:Hazard ratio(HR)=2.684,P<0.001;OS:HR=2.105,P=0.019;CRR:HR=2.214,P=0.005]and glycosylated hemoglobin levels(DFS:HR=2.344,P=0.006;OS:HR=2.119,P=0.021;CRR:HR=2.449,P=0.009)indicated significantly poor prognosis and high CRR,while T2DM history did not(DFS:HR=1.178,P=0.327;OS:HR=0.933,P=0.739;CRR:HR=0.997,P=0.581).CONCLUSION Increased preoperative fasting plasma glucose and glycosylated hemoglobin levels,but not T2DM history,were identified as risk factors associated with poor postoperative outcomes and high CRR in patients with stage III CC.

Under the hypothesis of the rigid-plastic material, specific efforts are placed on the developments of the key simulation techniques of the meshless Galerkin method because of the complexity of the deformation process as well as the generality and atomization of the simulation procedures for non-steady state large deformation plastic processes, therefore, an adaptive rigid meshless Galerkin method is developed. The influence domain control method is used in the least square approximation by dynamic evaluation of the magnitude of the influence domain and the effective control of the amount and the positions of the points in the least square approximation in order to improve approximation precision. The amount of the Gauss integration points in the discrete domain is maintained in a considerable magnitude in order to ensure the integration precision in the discrete domain. The length of the frictional boundary of the plastic deformation process may be getting longer when its deforma- tion is getting severe. Thus, the densities of the boundary points of some places get lower. The adaptive boundary points setting method is employed to improve the approximation precision of the boundary points and enhance the constraint of the boundary condition by adaptive control of boundary point density. Some typical extrusion processes are analyzed, detail simulation results such as the deformation field, velocity field, effective strain field, effective strain rate field, the volume loss curve and load-stroke curve are obtained. The effectiveness of the method developed is demonstrated and the precision of the meshless simulation is proved by overall comparison with the results obtained by using the commercial software deform.

Transverse Bending Characteristics in U-channel Forming of Tailor Rolled Blank

Research on the formability of tailor rolled blank （TRB） is of good practical significance and application value because of the enormous potential of TRB in the aspect of automobile lightweight. However, the forming of TRB is problematic because of the varying properties; especially, springback is a main challenge. The transverse bending （bending axis is perpendicular to the rolling direction） of TRB U channel was studied through simulation and experiment. The forming characteristics of TRB U channel during transverse bending were analyzed. The mechanisms of forming defects, including bending springback and thickness transition zone （TTZ） movement, were revealed. On this basis, effects of blank geometric parameters on springbaek and TTZ movement were discussed. The results indicate that springback and TTZ movement happen during transverse bending of TRB U-channel. Nonuni form stress distribution is the most fundamental reason for the occurrence of springback of TRB during transverse bending. Annealing can eliminate nonuniform stress distribution, and thus diminish springbaek of TRB, especially springback on the thinner side. Therefore, springback of the whole TRB becomes more uniform. However, annealing can increase the TTZ movement. Blank thickness and TTZ position are the main factors affecting the formability of TRB U-channel during transverse bending.

TiP_2O_7-coated LiNi_(0.8)Co_(0.15)Al_(0.05)O_2 cathode materials with improved thermal stability and superior cycle life

The co-precipitation derived LiNi_(0.8)Co_(0.15)Al_(0.05)O_2 cathode material was modified by a coating layer of TiP_2O_7 through an ethanol-based process. The TiP_2O_7-coated LiNi_(0.8)Co_(0.15)Al_(0.05)O_2 is characterized by Xray diffraction analysis, scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy to investigate the microstructure and morphology. The differential scanning calorimetry was employed to confirm the improved thermal stability. The electrochemical properties were evaluated by the constant-current charge/discharge tests. The TiP_2O_7 coating layer is effectively suppressing the structural degradation and ameliorating the surface status of LiNi_(0.8)Co_(0.15)Al_(0.05)O_2 particles, and the intrinsic rhombohedral layered structure of TiP_2O_7-coated LiNi_(0.8)Co_(0.15)Al_(0.05)O_2 was well maintained during the long-term cycling process, while the surface structure of pristine LiNi_(0.8)Co_(0.15)Al_(0.05)O_2 was degraded from rhombohedral R3 m layered structure to cubic rock-salt structure. The charged state Ni^(4+) ions will easily transform into Ni^(2+) when the electrolytes oxidized at the interface of cathode/electrolytes and formed the cubic rock-salt NiO type structure, and the cubic rock-salt structure without electrochemical activity on the surface of LiNi_(0.8)Co_(0.15)Al_(0.05)O_2 particles will finally accelerate capacity fading. The thermal stability and cyclic performances of the LiNi_(0.8)Co_(0.15)Al_(0.05)O_2 electrode were remarkably improved by TiP_2O_7 coating, the total amount of heat release corresponding to the intensity of thermal runaway were 1075.5 and 964.6 J/g for pristine LiNi_(0.8)Co_(0.15)Al_(0.05)O_2 and TiP_2O_7-coated LiNi_(0.8)Co_(0.15)Al_(0.05)O_2 respectively, the pouch shaped full cells that employed TiP 2 O7-coated LiNi_(0.8)Co_(0.15)Al_(0.05)O_2 as cathode were able to perform more than 2200 cycles at 25 ℃ and more than 1000 cycles at 45 ℃ before the capacity retention fading to 80%.

Geochemistry of Platinum Group and Rare Earth Elements of the Polymetallic Layer in the Lower Cambrian,Weng'an,Guizhou Province

The black shales of the Lower Cambrian Niutitang Formation in Weng＇an, on the Yangtze platform of south China, contain voluminous polymetallic sulfide deposits. A comprehensive geochemical investigation of trace, rare earth, and platinum group elements （PGE） has been undertaken in order to discuss its ore genesis and correlation with the tectono-depositional setting. The ore-bearing layers enrich molybdenum （Mo）, nickel （Ni）, vanadium （V）, lead （Pb）, strontium （Sr）, barium （Ba）, uranium （U）, arsenic （As）, and rare earth elements （REE） in abundance. High uranium/ thorium （U/Th） ratios （U/Th〉I） indicated that mineralization was mainly influenced by the hydrothermal process. The 8U value was above 1.9, showing a reducing sedimentary condition. The REE patterns showed high enrichment in light rare earth elements （LREE）（heavy rare earth elements （HREE）（LREE/HREE=5-17）, slightly negative europium （Eu） and cerium （Ce） anomalies （δEu=0.81- 0.93）, and positive Ce anomalies （δCe=0.76-1.12）. PGE abundance was characterized by the PGE-type distribution patterns, enriching platinum （Pt）, palladium （Pd）, ruthenium （Ru） and osmium （Os）. The Pt/Pd ratio was 0.8, which is close to the ratios of seawater and ultramafic rocks. All of these geochemical features suggest that the mineralization was triggered by hydrothermal activity in an extensional setting in the context of break-up of the Rodinian supercontinent.

Comparative Study on the Properties of Inorganic Silicate and Organic Phenolic Prepolymer Modified Poplar Wood by Vacuum Cycle Pressurization

To enhance mechanical properties and improve flame retardancy and smoke suppression of fast-growing poplar wood in wood applications,the wood was impregnated and *** organic phenolic prepolymer and inorganic sodium silicate was used as contrasting impregnation modifiers and wood samples were impregnated by a bionic“respiration”method with alternating positive and negative *** weight percentage gain,density increase ratio,mechanical properties(bending and compressive strength and hardness),and water absorption rate of inorganic and organic-impregnated modified poplar wood(IIMPW and OIMPW,respectively)were compared and these properties in IIMPW were found to be higher than those of OIMPW with the exception of the water absorption rate which was lower than the *** was attributed to the superior absorption of sodium silicate that also improved the impregnation,reinforcement,and dimensional stability in the *** chemical structure,crystalline structure,internal morphology,flame retardancy,smoke suppression,and thermal stability of IIMPW and OIMPW were characterized by FT-IR,XRD,SEM,CONE,and ***-IR and XRD results showed that,although IIMPW cellulose crystallinity reduced the most,more chemical bonds were come into being in IIMPW,which explained the better physical and mechanical properties of *** with OIMPW,IIMPW had better flame retardant and smoke suppression performance.

Extraction of palladium(Ⅱ) from hydrochloride solutions with 2-n-octyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one as novel extractant

Solvent extraction of palladium （Ⅱ） from hydrochloric acid solution with 2-n-octyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one （OIT）/cyclohexane was studied. Effects of different parameters on extraction efficiency were evaluated. 99.96 % and 98.26 % palladium （Ⅱ） could be effectively extracted with 0.018 mol·L^-1 OIT/cyclohexane of 0.1 and 4.0 mol·L^-1 HCl medium, respectively. Nonpolar solvent and low acidity could improve the extracting efficiency, and successfully strip palladium （Ⅱ） from the loaded organic phase was achieved with 0.5 mol·L^-1 （NH2）2CS solution. It was proposed that the extraction of Pd com-plexes from HCl medium proceeded through the ion-association mechanism by slope method, NMR and FF-IR spectra.
