The back-streaming white-neutron beamline (Back-n) of the China Spallation Neutron Source is an essential neutron- research platform built for the study of nuclear data, neutron physics, and neutron applications. Many types of cross-sectional neutron-reaction measurements have been performed at Back-n since early 2018. These measurements have shown that a significant number of gamma rays can be transmitted to the experimental stations of Back-n along with the neutron beam. These gamma rays, commonly referred to as in-beam gamma rays, can induce a non-negligible experimental background in neutron-reaction measurements. Studying the characteristics of in-beam gamma rays is important for understanding the experimental background. However, measuring in-beam gamma rays is challenging because most gamma-ray detectors are sensitive to neutrons; thus, discriminating between neutron-induced signals and those from in-beam gamma rays is difficult. In this study, we propose the use of the black resonance filter method and a CeBr3 scintillation detector to measure the characteristics of the in-beam gamma rays of Back-n. Four types of black resonance filters, Ta-181, Co-59, Ag-nat, and Cd-nat, were used in this measurement. The time-of-flight (TOF) technique was used to select the detector signals remaining in the absorption region of the TOF spectra, which were mainly induced by in-beam gamma rays. The energy distribution and flux of the in-beam gamma rays of Back-n were determined by analyzing the deposited energy spectra of the CeBr3 scintillation detector and using Monte Carlo simulations. Based on the results of this study, the background contributions from in-beam gamma rays in neutron-reaction measurements at Back-n can be reasonably evaluated, which is beneficial for enhancing both the experimental methodology and data analysis.

The prognosis of glioblastoma(GBM)remains challenging,primarily due to the lack of a precise,effective imaging technique for comprehensively *** GBM diagnostic challenges,our study introduces an innovative dual-modal imaging that merges near-infrared(NIR)fluorescent imaging with magnetic resonance imaging(MR).This method employs superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticies coated with NIR fluorescent dyes,specifically Cyanine 7,and targeted *** synthetic probe facilitates MRI functionality through superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticles,provides NIR imaging capability via Cyanine 7 and enhances tumor targeting trough peptide interactions,offering a comprehensive diagnostic tool for ***,the probe traverses the blood-brain barrier,targeting GBM in vivo via peptides,producing clear and discermible images in both *** and histopathology assessments confirm the probe's favorable safet *** findings suggest that the dual-modal MRINIR fluorescent imaging probe could revolutionize GBM prognosis and survival rate which can also be extended to other tumors type.

With the emergence of network-centric data,social network graph publishing is conducive to data analysts to mine the value of social networks,analyze the social behavior of individuals or groups,implement personalized recommendations,and so ***,published social network graphs are often subject to re-identification attacks from adversaries,which results in the leakage of users’***-anonymity technology is widely used in the field of graph publishing,which is quite effective to resist re-identification ***,the current researches still exist some issues to be solved:the protection of directed graphs is less concerned than that of undirected graphs;the protection of graph structure is often ignored while achieving the protection of nodes’identities;the same protection is performed for different users,which doesn’t meet the different privacy requirements of ***,to address the above issues,a multi-level-degree anonymity(MLDA)scheme on directed social network graphs is proposed in this ***,node sets with different importance are divided by the firefly algorithm and constrained connectedness upper approximation,and they are performed different-degree anonymity protection to meet the different privacy requirements of ***,a new graph anonymity method is proposed,which achieves the addition and removal of edges with the help of fake *** addition,to improve the utility of the anonymized graph,a new edge cost criterion is proposed,which is used to select the most appropriate edge to be ***,to protect the community structure of the original graph as much as possible,fake nodes contained in a same community are merged prior to fake nodes contained in different *** results on real datasets show that the newly proposed MLDA scheme is effective to balance the privacy and utility of the anonymized graph.

Epilepsy,one of the most common neurological disorders,is characterized by spon-taneous recurrent *** lobe epilepsy(TLE)is one of the most common medically intractable seizure ***2-and NcK-interacting kinase(TNIK)has recently attracted attention as a critical modulation target of many neurological and psychiatric disorders,but its role in epilepsy remains *** this study,we hypothesized the involvement of TNIK in epilepsy and investigated TNIK expression in patients with intractable TLE and in a pilocarpineinduced rat model of epilepsy by western blotting,immunofluorescence,and immunohistochemistry.A pentylenetetrazole(PTZ)-induced epilepsy rat model was used to determine the effect of the TNIK inhibitor NCB-0846 on behavioral manifestations of ***(Co-IP)/mass spectrometry(MS)was used to identify the potential *** Co-IP,we detected and confirmed the main potential TNIK *** fractionation was used to establish the effect of NCB-0846 on the expression of the main interactors in postsynaptic density(PSD)*** found that TNIK was primarily located in neurons and decreased significantly in epilepsy model rats and TLE patients compared with ***-0846 delayed kindling progression and decreased seizure ***-IP/MS identified 63 candidate TNIK interactors in rat hippocampi,notably ***-IP showed that TNIK might correlate with endogenous GRIA1,SYN2,PSD-95,CaMKIV,GABRG1,and *** addition,the significant decrease in GRIA1 in hippocampal total lysate and PSDs after NCB-0846 treatment might help modify the progression of PTZ *** results suggest that TNIK contributes to epileptic pathology and is a potential antiepileptic drug target.

Anaerobic digestion has been defined as a competitive approach to facilitate the recycling of corn ***,few studies have focused on the role of direct interspecies electron transfer(DIET)pathway in the acidification stage under the addition of different particle sizes of zero-valent iron(ZVI).In this study,three types of ZVI,namely iron filings,iron powder and nanoscale iron,were investigated,respectively,to enhance its high-value *** in volatile fatty acids(VFAs)and methane(CH4)production associated with the underlyingmechanisms were emphatically *** indicated that the addition of ZVI could increase the concentration of VFAs,with the most outstanding performance observed with the use of nanoscale ***,the conversion of propionic acid to acetic acid was driven by adding ZVI with no between-group differences in acidizing ***,the substrate was more fully utilized when supplied with iron powder compared with other groups in methanogenic phase,thereby displaying the maximumCH4 yield with a value of 263.1 mL/(g total solids(TS)).However,adding nanoscale iron could signally shorten the digestion time(T80),saving 7 days in comparison to the group of iron powder.

Optimization on crystallization process of the magnetic core lysozyme

The continuous growth of the biomedical market highlights the significance of improvement in the ef-ficiency of batch production for protein drug ***,we investigated the effect of polymer-modified Fe_(3)O_(4) nanoparticles on lysozyme(Lys)crystallization at different conditions,using function-alized Fe_(3)O_(4) magnetic nanoparticles(Polymer C@Fe_(3)O_(4))as nucleation *** study revealed that the surface charge density of Polymer C@Fe_(3)O_(4) was highest at a modification mass ratio of Fe_(3)O_(4) to Polymer C is 8∶*** ratio facilitates the augmentation of electrostatic interaction and the promotion of *** adding 15%of the PolymerC@Fe_(3)O_(4) prepared from Fe_(3)O_(4) with an average particle size of 150 nm,the magnetic core lysozyme(M-Lys)crystals with an average particle size of 11.08μm,narrow size distribution,and regular morphology were obtained in a yield of 82.42%within 60 min.

Surfactant-assisted crystallization of lysozyme and its mechanism

Surfactants were used to assist in the crystallization of *** types of surfactants with different structures(sodium dodecyl sulfate,cetyltrimethylammonium bromide,or betaine hydrochloride[BH])were *** study indicated that three surfactants were all capable of shortening the crystallization induction time of lysozyme,with BH inducing the shortest crystallization induction time(t=1 min)and the largest crystal size(37μm).The molecular interactions among each of the three surfactants aforementioned and lysozyme were also investigated by *** was found that hydrogen bonding dominantly acted between the carboxyl structure of the surfactant BH and the lysozyme,which produced the most favorable conformation for the self-assembly of lysozyme(promote lysozyme orderly aggregation and shorten the crystallization induction time).On this basis,the mechanism of surfactant-promoted lysozyme crystallization was proposed.

Rethinking multi-spatial information for transferable adversarial attacks on speaker recognition systems

Adversarial attacks have been posing significant security concerns to intelligent systems,such as speaker recognition systems(SRSs).Most attacks assume the neural networks in the systems are known beforehand,while black-box attacks are proposed without such information to meet practical *** black-box attacks improve trans-ferability by integrating multiple models or training on multiple datasets,but these methods are *** by the optimisation strategy with spatial information on the perturbed paths and samples,we propose a Dual Spatial Momentum Iterative Fast Gradient Sign Method(DS-MI-FGSM)to improve the transferability of black-box at-tacks against ***,DS-MI-FGSM only needs a single data and one model as the input;by extending to the data and model neighbouring spaces,it generates adver-sarial examples against the integrating *** reduce the risk of overfitting,DS-MI-FGSM also introduces gradient masking to improve *** authors conduct extensive experiments regarding the speaker recognition task,and the results demonstrate the effectiveness of their method,which can achieve up to 92%attack success rate on the victim model in black-box scenarios with only one known model.
