In simulations of fluidized beds using computational fluid dynamics （CfD）, the description of gas-solid flow hydrodynamics relies on a drag model to account for the momentum transfer between gas and solid phases. Although several studies of drag models have been published, there have been few investigations of the application of lattice Boltzmann method （lBM）-based drag models to bubbling fluidized bed simu- lations. In the present study, a comprehensive comparison of empirical and lBM-based drag models was carried out to assess the performance of these models during simulations of gas-solid flow hydrodynam- ics in a bubbling fluidized bed. A CfD model using the MfIX code based on the Eulerian-Eulerian approach and the kinetic theory of granular flow was used to simulate a 2D bubbling fluidized bed with Geldart B particles. The simulation results were validated by comparison with experimental data. Statistical anal- ysis of the results shows that lBM-based drag models can reliably model gas-solid flow hydrodynamics in a bubbling fluidized bed.

AIM： To study of the effect of caffeic acid phenethyl ester （CAPE） on the initiation period in a medium-term assay of hepatocarcinogenesis. METHODS： Male Wistar rats were subjected to a carcinogenic treatment （CT） and sacrificed at 25^th d; altered hepatic foci （AHf） were generated efficiently. To a second group of rats a single 20 mg/kg doses of CAPE was given 12 h before initiation with CT and were sacrificed at 25^th d. We evaluated the expression of preneoplastic markers as Y-glutamyltranspeptidase （GGT） and glutathione S-transferase type pi protein （GSTp） by histochemistry, RT-PCR and Western blot analyses, respectively. We measured thiobarbituric acid reactive substances （TBARS） in homogenates of liver and used Unscheduled DNA Synthesis （UDS） assay by incorporation of [^3H] thymidine （^3HdT） in primary hepatocyte cultures （PHC）. RESUlTS： At 25^th d after CT CAPE reduced the observed increase of GGT^＋AHf by 84% and liver expression ofggt mRNA by 100%. In case of the GSTp protein, the level was reduced by 90%. As indicative of oxidative stress generated by diethylnitrosamine （DEN） 12 h after its administration, we detected a 68% increase of TBARS. When CAPE was administered before DEN, it completely protected from liver TBARS induction. To have an indication of the sole effect of CAPE on initiation, two carcinogens were tested in a UDS assay in PHC, we used methyl-n-nitrosoguanidine as a direct carcinogen and DEN, as indirect carcinogen. In this assay, genotoxic damage caused by carcinogens was abolished at 5μM CAPE concentration. CONClUSION： Our results demonstrated that CAPE possesses anti-genotoxic and antineoplastic capabilities, by an anti-oxidative and free-radical scavenging mechanism.

The identification of jets originating from quarks and gluons,often referred to as quark/gluon tagging,plays an important role in various analyses performed at the large Hadron Collider,as Standard Model measurements and searches for new particles decaying to quarks often rely on suppressing a large gluon-induced *** paper describes the measurement of the efficiencies of quark/gluon taggers developed within the ATlAS Collaboration,using √s=13 TeV proton–proton collision data with an integrated luminosity of 140 fb^(-1) collected by the ATlAS *** taggers with high performances in rejecting jets from gluon over jets from quarks are studied:one tagger is based on requirements on the number of inner-detector tracks associated with the jet,and the other combines several jet substructure observables using a boosted decision tree.A method is established to determine the quark/gluon fraction in data,by using quark/gluon-enriched subsamples defined by the jet *** in tagging efficiency between data and simulation are provided for jets with transverse momentum between 500 GeV and 2 TeV and for multiple tagger working points.

CURlY lEAf ( Clf) encodes the methyltransferase subunit of the Polycomb Repressor Complex 2 (PRC2), which regulates the expression of target genes through H3K27 trimethylation. We isolated a new Clf mutant allele ( clf-78) using a genetic screen designed to identify microRNA (miRNA) deficient mutants. Clf mutant plants showed impaired miRNA activity caused by increased ubiquitination and enhanced degradation of ARGONAUTE 1 (AGO1) in specific tissues. Such Clf-mediated AGO1 regulation was evident when plants were exposed to UV radiation, which caused increased susceptibility of clf mutants to some UV-induced responses. furthermore, we showed that Clf directly regulates fBW2, which in turn triggers AGO1 degradation in the clf mutants. Interestingly, AGO1 bound to a target appeared particularly prone to degradation in the mutant plants, a process that was exacerbated when the complex bound a non-cleavable target. Thus, prolonged AGO1–target interaction seems to favor AGO1 degradation, suggesting that non-cleavable miRNA targets may overcome translation inhibition by modulating AGO1 stability in plants.

Auxin is a key phytohormone that modulates fruit formation in many fleshy fruits through the regulation of cell division and *** content rapidly increases after pollination and the manipulation in its levels may lead to the parthenocarpic *** Vitis vinifera l.,little is known about the early fruit development that encompasses from pollination to fruit ***/fertilization events trigger fruit formation,and auxin treatment mimics their effect in grape berry ***,the role of auxin in this process at the molecular level is not well *** elucidate the participation of auxin in grapevine fruit formation,morphological,reproductive,and molecular events from anthesis to fruit set were described in sequential days after *** RNA-seq analysis at four time points from anthesis to fruit set revealed that the highest percentage of genes induced/repressed within the hormone-related gene category were auxin-related *** profiling showed significant transcript variations in auxin signaling and homeostasis-related genes during the early fruit *** acetic acid and several auxin metabolites were present during this ***,application of an inhibitor of auxin action reduced cell number and the mesocarp diameter,similarly to unpollinated berries,further confirming the key role of auxin during early berry *** work sheds light into the molecular features of the initial fruit development and highlights the auxin participation during this stage in grapevine.
