The 4,6-bis(arylimino)-1,2,3,7,8,9,10-heptahydrocyclohepta[b]quinoline-iron(II)chlorides(aryl=2,6-Me_(2)C_(6)H_(3) Fe1;2,6-Et_(2)C_(6)H_(3) Fe_(2);2,6-i-Pr_(2)C_(6)H_(3) Fe_(3);2,4,6-Me3C_(6)H_(2) Fe4;and 2,6-Et_(2)-4-Me_(2)C_(6)H_(2) Fe_(5))have been prepared in good yield by a straightforward one-pot reaction of 2,3,7,8,9,10-hexahydro-1H-cyclohepta[b]quinoline-4,6-dione,FeCl_(2)·4H_(2)O,and the appropriate aniline in acetic *** ferrous complexes have been characterized by elemental analysis and FT-IR *** addition,the structure of Fe_(3) has been determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction,which showed the iron center to adopt a distorted square pyramidal geometry with the saturated sections of the fused six-and sevenmembered carbocycles to be *** combination with either maO or MmaO,Fe1–Fe5 exhibited exceptionally high activities for ethylene polymerization(up to 15:86×10^(6) g(PE)mol^(−1)(Fe)h^(−1) at 40℃(MmaO)and 9:60×10^(6) g(PE)mol^(−1)(Fe)h^(−1) at 60℃(maO))and produced highly linear polyethylene(HLPE,Tm≥128℃)with a wide range in molecular weights;in general,the MmaO-promoted polymerizations were more *** of the cocatalyst employed,the 2,6-Me_(2)-substituted Fe1 and Fe4 proved the most active while the more sterically hindered 2,6-i-Pr_(2) Fe_(3) the least but afforded the highest molecular weight polyethylene(Mw:65.6–72.6 kg mol^(-1)).Multinuclear NMR spectroscopic analysis of the polymer formed using Fe4/MmaO at 40℃ showed a preference for fully saturated chain ends with a broad bimodal distribution a feature of the GPC trace(Mw/Mn=13:4).By contrast,using Fe4/maO at 60℃ a vinyl-terminated polymer of lower molecular weight(Mw=14:2 kg mol^(−1))was identified that exhibited a unimodal distribution(Mw/Mn=3:8).Moreover,the amount of aluminoxane cocatalyst employed,temperature,and run time were also found to be influential on the modality of the polymer.

A group of five bis(arylimino)pyridine-cobalt(Ⅱ)chloride complexes,[2-{(2,6-(Ph_(2)CH)_(2)-4-MeOC_(6)H_(2))N=CMe}-6-(ArN=CMe)C_5 H_(3)N]CoCl_(2)(Ar=2,6-Me_(2)C_(6)H_(3)Co1,2,6-Et_(2)C_(6)H_(3)Co2,2,6-iPr_(2)C_(6)H_(3)Co3,2,4,6-Me_(3)C_(6)H_(2)Co4,2,6-Et_(2)-4-MeC_(6)H_(2)Co5),each containing one N-4-methoxy-2,6-dibenzhydrylphenyl group and one smaller sterically/electronically variable N-aryl group,have been synthesized in good yield(>71%)from the corresponding neutral terdentate nitrogen-donor precursor,*** complexes have been characterized by^(1)H-NMR and FTIR spectroscopy with the former highlighting the paramagnetic nature of these cobaltous species and the unsymmetrical nature of the chelating *** molecular structures of Co3 and Co4 emphasize the steric differences of the two inequivalent N-aryl groups and the distorted square pyramidal geometry about the metal *** the presence of maO or MmaO,Co1-Co5 collectively displayed high activities for ethylene polymerization producing high molecular weight polyethylenes that,in general,exhibited narrow dispersities(M_w/M_n values:2.12-4.07).Notably,the least sterically hindered Co1 when activated with maO was the most productive(6.92×10^(6)g_(PE)·mol^(-1)_((Co))·h^(-1))at an operating temperature of60℃.Conversely,the most sterically hindered Co3/MmaO produced the highest molecular weight polyethylene(M_w=6.29×10^(5)g·mol^(-1)).All the polymers displayed high linearity as demonstrated by their melting temperatures(>130℃)and their~1 H-and^(13)C-NMR *** comparison of Co1 with its para-methyl,-chloro and-nitro counterparts,the presence of the para-methoxy substituent showed the most noticeable effect of enhancing the thermal stability of the catalyst.

Protein-RNA interaction networks are essential to understand gene regulation control. Identifying binding sites of RNA-binding proteins （RBPs） by the UV-crosslinking and immunoprecipitation （CLIP） represents one of the most powerful methods to map protein RNA interactions in vivo. However, the traditional CLIP protocol is technically challenging, which requires radioactive labeling and suffers from material loss during PAGE-membrane transfer procedures. Here we introduce a super-efficient CLIP method （GoldCLIP） that omits all gel purification steps. This nonisotopic method allows us to perform highly reproducible CLIP experiments with polypyrimidine tract-binding protein （PTB）, a classical RBP in human cell lines. In principle, our method guarantees sequencing library constructions, providing the protein of interest can be successfully crosslinked to RNAs in living cells. GoldCLIP is readily applicable to diverse proteins to uncover their endogenous RNA targets.

Meiosis comprises two rounds of nuclear division following a single phase of DNA replication, leading to the production of haploid gametes and is essential for sexual reproduction in eukaryotes. Unlike mitosis, meiosis involves homologous chromosome pairing, synapsis, and recombination during prophase I. Meiotic recombination not only ensures the accurate segregation of homologs, but also redistributes alleles among offspring. DNA synthesis is a critical process during meiotic recombination, but our understanding of the proteins that execute and regulate it is limited. This review summarizes the recent advances in defining the role of DNA synthesis in meiotic recombina- tion through analyses of DNA synthesis genes, with specific emphasis on DNA polymerases （e.g., Pole and PolS）, replication processivity factor RFC1 and translesion polymerases （e.g., Pol~）. We also present a new double strand break repair model for meiotic recombination, which includes lagging strand DNA synthesis and leading strand elongation. Finally, we propose that DNA synthesis is one of critical factors for discriminating meiotic recombination pathways and that this differentiation may be conserved among eukaryotes.

Effects of different ratios of soluble to insoluble dietary fiber on growth performance and intestinal health of piglets

This study investigated the impact of different ratios of soluble to insoluble dietary fiber(SDF:IDF)formulations by sugar beet pulp(SBP)supplementation on piglet growth performance,nutrient digestibility,immune function,intestinal morphology,intestinal microbiota and intestinal health.A total of 60 crossbred piglets(Duroc×[Landrace×Yorkshire])at 40 d old with body weight of 10.0±0.3 kg were randomly assigned to 5 treatments with 6 replicates per treatment and 2 piglets per replicate in a 21-d *** dietary treatments included a corn-soybean meal diet(0%SBP supplementation;CON),and diets supplemented with 2%,4%,6%,and 8%SBP,representing different SDF:IDF ratios at 10.16%,13.53%,16.79%,19.86%,and 24.81%,*** results indicated that the 8%SBP treatment had a negative effect on feed-to-gain ratio(linear,P=0.009)compared with the CON treatment(P=0.021).The apparent total tract digestibility(ATTD)of crude protein was lower in treatments supplemented with SBP(P=0.002)and showed a linear decrease(P=0.001),while the ATTD of IDF showed a linear increase(P=0.037)in four SBP treatments compared to the CON *** 4%SBP treatment increased serum concentrations of triglyceride(quadratic,P=0.019)and K(linear,P<0.0037),and decreased alanine transaminase concentration(quadratic,P=0.015)compared with the CON *** concentrations of Cit,Cys,Ile,Leu,Orn,Arg,taurine,urea,1-methylhistidine,α-aminoadipic acid,α-aminobutyric acid and cystathionine in the 4%SBP treatment were highest among all treatments(P<0.05).The serum concentrations of interleukin-6,interleukin-8,interleukin-10,transforming growth factor-β,and tumor necrosis factor-αin the 6%SBP treatment were higher than those in the CON treatment(P<0.05),which also increased mucin-2 and G protein-coupled receptor 41 mRNA expression(P<0.05)in colonic mucosa compared with the CON treatment and improved the intestinal barrier *** containing more than 19.86%SDF:IDF could impair the intestinal healt

The Emeishan large igneous province:A synthesis

The late Permian Emeishan large igneous province （EL1P） covers -0.3× 10-6 kmL of the western margin of the Yangtze Block and Tibetan Plateau with displaced, correlative units in northern Vietnam （Song Da zone）. The ELIP is of particular interest because it contains numerous world-class base metal deposits and is contemporaneous with the late Capitanian （-260 ma） mass extinction. The flood basalts are the signature feature of the ELIP but there are also ultramafic and silicic volcanic rocks and layered mafic- ultramafic and silicic plutonic rocks exposed. The EL1P is divided into three nearly concentric zones （i.e. inner, middle and outer） which correspond to progressively thicker crust from the inner to the outer zone. The eruptive age of the ELIP is constrained by geological, paleomagnetic and geochronological evidence to an interval of 〈3 ma. The presence of picritic rocks and thick piles of flood basalts testifies to high temperature thermal regime however there is uncertainty as to whether these magmas were derived from the subcontinental lithospheric mantle or sub-lithospheric mantle （i.e. asthenosphere or mantle plume） sources or both. The range of Sr （Isr ≈ 0.7040-0.7132）, Nd （ENd（t） ≈ -14 tO ＋8）, Pb （206-pb/204-pb1 ≈ 17.9-20.6） and Os （Yos ≈ -5 to ＋11） isotope values of the ultramafic and mafic rocks does not permit a conclusive answer to ultimate source origin of the primitive rocks but it is clear that some rocks were affected by crustal contamination and the presence of near-depleted isotope compo- sitions suggests that there is a sub-lithospheric mantle component in the system. The silicic rocks are derived by basaltic magmas/rocks through fractional crystallization or partial melting, crustal melting or by interactions between mafic and crustal melts. The formation of the Fe-Ti-V oxide-ore deposits is probably due to a combination of fractional crystallization of Ti-rich basalt and fluxing of C02-rich fluids whereas the Ni-Cu-（PGE） deposits are related
