The emergence of Accountable Care Organizations(ACOs)in the landscape of the *** system marks a paradigm shift in healthcare *** potential impact of ACOs has been a topic of intense *** analytical approaches do not lend themselves to examining the complex phenomenon of the emergence and growth of ACOs in the healthcare *** adopt a complex adaptive system lens to examine the growth of ACOs among physician groups and explore factors that influence this *** also discuss the impact of ACOs on the profit of physician *** agent-based model was built to simulate physician groups'ACO entrance and exit based on a set of simple rules and their complex interactions with other *** on the simulation results,we derive patterns of ACO expansion and contraction,following four stages of wait-and-see,rollercoaster,fast growth,and *** suggest that the growth of ACOs is sensitive to the initial state of ACO *** the initial size of ACO membership increases,it helps to eliminate the rollercoaster *** addition,the growth of the ACO varies depending on the cost–quality *** both cost and quality objectives can be met simultaneously,the growth of ACO membership follows wait-and-see and fast growth stages followed by a different stage that we term sticky *** impact of ACOs on physician groups’cumulative profit varies by the service quality level of the physician *** groups affiliated with insurance companies charging the lowest or the highest level of health insurance premiums are worse off with the ACO ***,the ACO benefits physician groups affiliated with an insurance company charging a moderate level of premiums.

Cohesin is a multiprotein complex that not only is essential for cell division but also has key roles in genome organization that underpin its gene regulatory *** mutations of genes encoding cohesin subunits occur in myeloid malignancies at 10%–12%(Kon et al.,2013),and the frequency of cohesin mutation in Down syndrome-associated megakaryoblastic leukaemia is even higher(~50%)(Yoshida et al.,2013).Cohesin insufficiency reinforces stem cell programmes and impairs differentiation in haematopoietic stem cells(mazumdar et al.,2015;mullenders et al.,2015;Viny et al.,2015).The STAG2 subunit of cohesin is the most frequently mutated in myeloid malignancies(Kon et al.,2013).In contrast to other cohesin subunits,complete loss of STAG2 is tolerated due to partial compensation by ***2 and STAG1 have redundant roles in cell division(Benedetti et al.,2017;van der Lelij et al.,2017).However,cohesin-STAG1 and cohesin-STAG2 have non-redundant roles in facilitating 3D genome organization to delineate tissue-specific gene expression(Kojic et al.,2018).

In this work,we show that the spin dynamics of excitons can be dramatically altered by maxwell magnetic field coupling,together with an ion-enhanced,low-internal-splitting-energy organic semiconducting *** employing a unique,alternating current(AC)-driven organic electroluminescent(OEL)device architecture that optimizes this magnetic field coupling,almost complete control over the singlet-to-triplet ratio(from fluorescent to phosphorescent emission in a single device)is *** attribute this spin population control to magnetically sensitive polaron–spin pair intersystem crossings(ISCs)that can be directly manipulated through external driving *** an illustration of the utility of this approach to spin-tailoring,we demonstrate a simple hybrid(double-layer)fluorescence–phosphorescence(F–P)device using a polyfluorene-based emitter with a strong external Zeeman effect and ion-induced long carrier *** control over de-excitation pathways is achieved by controlling the device-driving frequency,resulting in complete emission blue–red color *** photoluminescence(PL)spectroscopy directly confirms that this color control derives from the magnetic manipulation of the singlet-totriplet *** results may pave the way to far more exotic organic devices with magnetic-field-coupled organic systems that are poised to usher in an era of dynamic spintronics at room temperature.

This paper reports the synthesis of methoxyoligo (oxyethylene) methacrylate (mEO_n , n is the repeating unit number of (CH_2CH_2O) in the macromonomer), and its polymerization in different solvents. mEO_n is prepared through such two independent reactions as (1) anionic polymerization of oxirane initiated by potassium alkoxide and (2) end-capping of methoxy oligo(oxyethylene) by methacrylic group. The n value can be conveniently controlled over the range of 5 ～ 30 by varying the molar ratio of oxirane to initiator and the molecular weight distribution of mEO_n be narrowed by increasing reaction time only in step (1). mEO_n thus obtained shows a rapid polymerization in water and benzene respectively, and both give water-soluble polymers as long as suitable conditions are used.

Electrospinning is widely accepted as a technique for the fabrication of nanofibrous three-dimensional(3D)scaffolds which mimic extracellular matrix(ECm)microenvironment for tissue engineering(TE).Unlike normal densely-packed two-dimensional(2D)nanofibrous membranes,3D electrospun nanofiber scaffolds are dedicated to more precise spatial control,endowing the scaffolds with a sufficient porosity and 3D environment similar to the in vivo settings as well as optimizing the properties,including injectability,compressibility,and ***,the 3D morphology regulates cellular interaction and mediates growth,migration,and differentiation of cell for matrix *** variation among scaffold structures,functions and applications depends on the selection of electrospinning materials and methods as well as on the post-processing of electrospun *** review summarizes the recent new forms for building electrospun 3D nanofiber scaffolds for TE applications.A variety of approaches aimed at the fabrication of 3D electrospun scaffolds,such as multilay-ering electrospinning,sacrificial agent electrospinning,wet electrospinning,ultrasound-enhanced electrospinning as well as post-processing techniques,including gas foaming,ultrasonication,short fiber assembly,3D printing,electrospraying,and so on are discussed,along with their advantages,limitations and ***,the current challenges and prospects of 3D electrospun scaffolds are rationally discussed,providing an insight into developing the vibrant fields of biomedicine.

Strong nonlinearity of plasmonic metamaterials can be designed near their effective plasma frequency in the epsilon-near-zero(ENZ) regime. We explore the realization of an all-optical modulator based on the Au nonlinearity using an ENZ cavity formed by a few Au nanorods inside a Si photonic waveguide. The resulting modulator has robust performance with a modulation depth of about 30 dB/μm and loss less than 0.8 dB for switching energies below 600 fJ. The modulator provides a double advantage of high mode transmission and strong nonlinearity enhancement in the few-nanorod-based design.

Improving simulations of sulfate aerosols during winter haze over Northern China： the impacts of heterogeneous oxidation by NO2

We implemented the online coupled WRF-Chem model to reproduce the 2013 January haze event in North China, and evaluated simulated meteorological and chemical fields using multiple observations. The comparisons suggest that temperature and relative humidity （RH） were simulated well （mean biases are 0.2K and 2.7%, respectively）, but wind speeds were overestimated （mean bias is 0.5 m.s -1）. At the Beijing station, sulfur dioxide （SO2） concentrations were overpredicted and sulfhte concentrations were largely underpredicted, which may result from uncertainties in SO2 emissions and missing heterogeneous oxidation in current model. We conducted three parallel experiments to examine the impacts of doubling SO2 emissions and incorporating heterogeneous oxidation of dissolved SO2 by nitrogen dioxide （NO2） on sulfate formation during winter haze. The results suggest that doubling SO2 emissions do not significantly affect sulthte concentrations, but adding heterogeneous oxidation of dissolved SO2 by NO, substantially improve simulations of sulfate and other inorganic aerosols. Although the enhanced SO2 to sulfate conversion in the HetS （heterogeneous oxidation by NO2） case reduces SO2 concentrations, it is still largely overestimated by the model, indicating the overestimations of SO2 concentrations in the North China Plain （NCP） are mostly due to errors in SO2 emission inventory.

Recently there have been exciting research advances in neuroprotective therapies for ischemic stroke. In the past, the search for neu- roprotective agents has been fraught with failure at the clinical trials stage due to numerous factors, including subject heterogeneity and improper therapeutic windows （Tymianski, 2017）. moreover, it is becoming clearer that the complex and evolving pathobiology of stroke requires multimodal therapeutic approaches capable of modulating the numerous axes that contribute to ischemia/reperfusion damage, rather than targeting a single axis （Bernstock et al., 2018a）. With the success of recent endovascular thrombectomy （EVT） trials, it has been suggested that clinical trials of EVT with adjunct neuroprotection can overcome past difficulties and maximize the effect size by using imaging to reduce patient heterogeneity （i. e., selecting those with large vessel occlusions, small ischemic cores, and good collateral circulation）, restoring perfusion using better EVT devices, and enrolling patients in the correct therapeutic window （i.e., when they still have salvageable brain tissue）（Tymianski, 2017）. Considering the opportunity that this represents for new, better clinical trials of neuroprotective agents, the search is on for high-potential compounds that may be investigated in these future studies.
