Magnesium rechargeable batteries(MRBs)present opportunities for grid-scale energy storage applications as a complement to Li-ion batteries(LIBS).The major challenges are the low reversible capacity,inferior cycling stability and unsatisfactory energy ***_(3)VCr_(0.5)Fe_(0.5)(PO_(4))_(3) with a well-defined nASIOntype structure is used as cathode in Mg ***-electrons reaction(~116 m Ah/g),1.5 V average voltage and 65%of capacity retention over 100 cycles are *** is inserted by a biphasic reaction with the participation of V3+/V4+/V5+redox couples in the electrochemical reaction while the non-active redox couples such as Cr^(3+)/Cr^(4+)and Fe2+/Fe^(3+)served as stabilizer to buffer the volume variation.A thermal stability up to~412℃ is also ***,incorporating a mixture of three transition metal(V/Cr/Fe)in this type of structures will broaden new perspectives for realizing high performance cathodes for MRBs.

In a tokamak fusion reactor operated at steady state,the equilibrium magnetic field is likely to have reversed shear in the core region,as the noninductive bootstrap current profile generally peaks *** reversed shear Alfvén eigenmode(RSAE)as a unique branch of the shear Alfvén wave in this equilibrium,can exist with a broad spectrum in wavenumber and frequency,and be resonantly driven unstable by energetic particles(EP).After briefly discussing the RSAE linear properties in burning plasma condition,we review several key topics of the nonlinear dynamics for the RSAE through both wave-EP resonance and wave-wave coupling channels,and illustrate their potentially important role in reactor-scale fusion *** means of simplified hybrid MHD-kinetic simulations,the RSAEs are shown to have typically broad phase space resonance structure with both circulating and trapped EP,as results of weak/vanishing magnetic shear and relatively low *** the route of wave-EP nonlinearity,the dominant saturation mechanism is mainly due to the transported resonant EP radially decoupling with the localized RSAE mode structure,and the resultant EP transport generally has a convective *** saturated RSAEs also undergo various nonlinear couplings with other collective *** typical routes as parametric decay and modulational instability are studied using nonlinear gyrokinetic theory,and applied to the scenario of spontaneous excitation by a finite amplitude pump *** RSAEs could naturally couple and induce the spectral energy cascade into a low frequency Alfvénic mode,which may effectively transfer the EP energy to fuel ions via collisionless Landau ***,zero frequency zonal field structure could be spontaneously excited by modulation of the pump RSAE envelope,and may also lead to saturation of the pump RSAE by both scattering into stable domain and local distortion of the continuum structure.

Objectives: To compare the rate and extent of absorption of Racor® 20 mg (Rosuvastatin calcium 20 mg) tablet of Laboratorios Leti, S.A.V., with Crestor® 20 mg (Rosuvastatin calcium 20 mg) tablet of AstraZeneca, UK Limited in healthy adult human subjects under fasting conditions. Method: This was an open label, analyst blind, balanced, randomized, two-treatment, two-period, two-sequence, single oral dose, crossover, bioequivalence study in healthy, adult, human subjects under fasting condition. Twenty-four (24) subjects were planned as per the protocol and all subjects completed both periods of the study. The concentrations of Rosuvastatin in plasma were quantitated using a validated LC-MS/MS method of analysis and plasma levels were submitted for statistical analysis. Cmax, AUC0-t, AUC0-∞, Tmax, t1/2, Kel (hrs-1), percent AUC extrapolated [100 * (AUC0-∞ - AUC0-t)/AUC0-∞] (AUC_%Extrapobs) were calculated for rosuvastatin in plasma using SAS® version 9.1.3, SAS Institute. Inc. ***. AnOVA, 90% confidence interval using Schuirmann’s two one-sided test for bioequivalence, power and ratio analysis, for lntransformed pharmacokinetic parameters Cmax, AUC0-t and AUC0-∞ were computed and reported for Rosuvastatin in plasma for BE. Results: Data showed that 90% confidence intervals for the test/reference geometric mean ratios (GMR) of Cmax (95.01 - 112.66), AUC0-t (93.38 - 111.67) and AUC0-∞ (93.65 - 111.29) were within the BE (80% - 125%) acceptance range. Conclusions: Two products formulation, reference (R) Crestor® (rosuvastatin calcium) of AstraZeneca and test (T), Racor® (rosuvastatin calcium) of Laboratorios Leti S.A.V., with a single dose of 20 mg, under fasting conditions were bioequivalent. no severe, serious or unexpected adverse events (AEs) were reported in this study.

Background: Skin aging is an unavoidable process aggravated by environmental agents. Among other energy devices, non-invasive radiofrequency (RF) technology is widely used for skin tightening and body contouring as it is simpler and more affordable than other technologies that also minimize pain and side-effects. However, most of the current RF devices do not provide automatic skin temperature control and it is difficult to achieve controlled, deep, and harmless thermal increase, so treatment performance and safety is dependent on the operator’s movements and expertise. Objective: To show the potential of numerical simulations for optimizing the design of monopolar and bipolar RF electrodes that are capable of providing homogeneous, deep and controlled heating. Materials and methods: In-silico models were developed and analyzed using Comsol Multiphysics software to simulate the RF effect produced in tissue by rotating monopolar and bipolar electrodes with different geometries from the Sculpt & Shape RF device (Sinclair, Spain), operating at frequencies of 0.5 and 1 MHz. Ex-vivo and in-vivo proof-of-concept tests were carried out to validate the simulations. Finally, treatments were performed on 16 subjects and a total of 78 body areas to assess the clinical results generated by the RF electrodes for skin tightening and body contouring. Results: In-silico studies emulated the superficial and deep dispersion of heat due to the release of RF energy into human skin tissue. The rotating electrodes (monopolar and bipolar) and the selected RF frequency (0.5 and 1 MHz) determined the homogeneity of the thermal distribution, the penetration depth (between 4.37 mm and 25.0 mm) and the heating dynamics (between 30 and 100 seconds to reach the target skin temperature), which were confirmed by ex-vivo and in-vivo tests. In addition, real treatments on facial and body areas using skin temperatures of between 43˚C and 44˚C showed consistent results with good clinical efficacy for

In recent years, the transcription factor ABI4 has emerged as an important node of integration for externaland internal signals such as nutrient status and hormone signaling that modulates critical transitions during the growthand development of plants. For this reason, understanding the mechanism of action and regulation of this protein rep-resents an important step towards the elucidation of crosstalk mechanisms in plants. However, this understanding hasbeen hindered due to the negligible levels of this protein as a result of multiple posttranscriptional regulations. To betterunderstand the function and regulation of the ABI4 protein in this work, we performed a functional analysis of severalevolutionarily conserved motifs. Based on these conserved motifs, we identified ortholog genes of ABI4 in differentplant species. The functionality of the putative ortholog from Theobroma cacao was demonstrated in transient expres-sion assays and in complementation studies in plants. The function of the highly conserved motifs was analyzed aftertheir deletion or mutagenesis in the Arabidopsis ABI4 sequence using mesophyll protoplasts. This approach permitted usto immunologically detect the ABI4 protein and identify some of the mechanisms involved in its regulation. We identi-fied sequences required for the nuclear localization （AP2-associated motif） as well as those for transcriptional activationfunction （LRP motif）. Moreover, this approach showed that the protein stability of this transcription factor is controlledthrough protein degradation and subcellular localization and involves the AP2-associated and the PEST motifs. We dem-onstrated that the degradation of ABI4 protein through the PEST motif is mediated by the 26S proteasome in responseto changes in the sugar levels.

new Rotative Radiofrequency Technology: A Multicenter Retrospective Study on Efficacy and Safety

Background: non-ablative radiofrequency (RF) technology is widely used for the treatment of signs of aging, skin laxity, localized fat and cellulite. However, many RF devices suffer from technical limitations that make the results highly dependent on the user’s experience or clinical limitations that compromise safety, efficacy and comfort. Objective: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of a novel semi-automatic non-ablative RF device for skin tightening, body shaping and cellulite reduction. Materials and methods: A retrospective multicenter study was performed using a novel rotative RF device with temperature and impedance control (Sculpt&Shape®, Sinclair, Spain). 58 subjects underwent a minimum of 4 treatments every 1-2 weeks. A total of 120 treatments (56.7% body and 43.3% facial) and 1034 sessions were performed. Efficacy was evaluated by 3 researchers using the Global Aesthetic Improvement Scale (GAIS) and anthropometric measurements were collected. Subject and practitioner satisfaction were recorded. Safety was evaluated by analyzing the perception of pain during the treatment and the side and adverse effects immediately after treatment and over the next 48 hours. Results: Between 25% and 50% improvement was achieved according to the GAIS. Statistically significant (p nal fold reduction of 5.1 mm and circumference reduction of 32.0 mm, 16.4 mm and 13.9 mm were recorded for the abdomen, legs and arms, respectively. 77.5% of subjects and 94.9% of practitioners were either satisfied or very satisfied. Minor adverse effects were found in 0.97% of the sessions. Conclusion: This novel semi-automatic rotative RF device has been found to provide treatments that are effective, safe and comfortable for both practitioners and subjects. .

BACKGROUnD: This study aimed to compare the rates of open and laparoscopic cholecystectomies and outcomes in patients with or without type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) in Spain from 2003 to 2013. METHODS: We collected all cases of open and laparoscopic cholecystectomies using national hospital discharge data and evaluated the annual cholecystectomy rates stratiifed by T2DM status. We analyzed tendency for in-hospital mortality (IHM). We also analyzed the impact of T2DM on IHM in patients who underwent cholecystectomies. RESULTS: We identiifed 611 533 cholecystectomies (71.3%laparoscopic) in the patients, in whom 78 227 (12.8%) patients had T2DM. The rates of open cholecystectomies were 3-fold higher (130.0/105 vs 41.1/105) in patients with T2DM than in those without T2DM, and the rate of laparoscopic cholecys-tectomies was almost 2-fold higher (195.2/105 vs 111.8/105) in patients with T2DM. The annual rate of laparoscopic pro-cedures showed an 11-year relative increase of 88.3% (from 117.0/105 to 220.3/105) in T2DM and 49.2% (from 79.2/105 to 118.2/105) in patients without T2DM (Pn procedures showed an 11-year relative decrease of 27.6% in patients with T2DM and 37.9% in those without T2DM (Pncy laparoscopic cho-lecystectomy was increased in the 11 years, whereas the rate of emergency open cholecystectomies was decreased (both Pnalysis revealed that older age, higher comorbidity and emergency cholecystectomy were associated with a higher IHM. Compared with patients without T2DM, patients with T2DM demonstrated a lower IHM after open cholecystectomy [OR=0.82 (0.78-0.87)], but a higher IHM after laparoscopic cholecystectomy (OR=1.18 (1.03-1.35))Time-trend analyses showed a signiifcant reduction in IHM in patients with or without T2DM after the two procedures.
