For a cost-effective connection of large-scale longdistance wind energy,a low frequency alternating current(LFAC)transmission scheme(16.7 Hz or 20 Hz)is proposed as an alternative to the conventional high voltage alternating current(HVAC)transmission scheme(50 Hz or 60 Hz)and the recently popular high voltage direct current(HVDC)transmission scheme(0 Hz).the technical feasibility of the LFAC system is demonstrated but the basis for identifying the distance ranges for which LFAC would be preferable to HVAC and HVDC are not established and the dependence of this range on factors,such as power transfer rating,voltage rating and cable/line type,is not *** paper presents an in-depth analysis for the overall cost of LFAC system and then provides an extensive comparison with HVAC and HVDC,to explore the distance ranges over which LFAC is cost-effective over both HVAC and HVDC in connections of offshore and remote onshore wind *** results demonstrate that the LFAC system does possess ranges in the intermediate distance for which it is more cost-effective than both HVAC and HVDC,and its overall cost advantage is generally larger in the overhead line(OHL)connection of remote onshore wind energy than the cable connection of offshore wind energy.

Interactions between incident electromagnetic energy and matter are of critical importance for numerous civil and military applications such as photocatalysis,solar cells,optics,radar detection,communications,information processing and transport et *** mechanisms for such interactions in the microwave frequency mainly rely on dipole rotations and magnetic domain *** this study,we present the first report of the microwave absorption of Al/H2 treated tiO_(2) nanoparticles,where the A_(l)/H_(2) treatment not only induces structural and optical property changes,but also largely improves the microwave absorption performance of tiO_(2) ***,the frequency of the microwave absorption can be finely controlled with the treatment temperature,and the absorption efficiency can reach optimal values with a careful temperature tuning.A large reflection loss of58.02 dB has been demonstrated with 3.1mm tiO_(2) coating when the treating temperature is 700℃.the high efficiency of microwave absorption is most likely linked to the disordering-induced property changes in the *** with the increased microwave absorption properties are largely increased visiblelight and IR absorptions,and enhanced electrical conductivity and reduced skin-depth,which is likely related to the interfacial defects within the tiO_(2) nanoparticles caused by the Al/H2 treatment.

Decades of advancements in immuno-oncology have enabled the development of current immunotherapies,which provide longterm treatment responses in certain metastatic cancer ***,cures remain infrequent,and most patients ultimately succumb to treatment-refractory metastatic *** insights suggest that tumors at certain organ sites exhibit distinctive response patterns to immunotherapy and can even reduce antitumor immunity within anatomically distant tumors,suggesting the activation of tissue-specific immune tolerogenic mechanisms in some cases of therapy *** immune cells known as regulatory t cells(tregs)are present within all tissues in the body and coordinate the suppression of excessive immune activation to curb autoimmunity and maintain immune *** the high volume of research on tregs,the findings have failed to reconcile tissue-specific treg functions in organs,such as tolerance,tissue repair,and regeneration,with their suppression of local and systemic tumor immunity in the context of immunotherapy *** improve the understanding of how the tissue-specific functions of tregs impact cancer immunotherapy,we review the specialized role of tregs in clinically common and challenging organ sites of cancer metastasis,highlight research that describes treg impacts on tissue-specific and systemic immune regulation in the context of immunotherapy,and summarize ongoing work reporting clinically feasible strategies that combine the specific targeting of tregs with systemic cancer *** knowledge of tregs in the framework of their tissue-specific biology and clinical sites of organ metastasis will enable more precise targeting of immunotherapy and have profound implications for treating patients with metastatic cancer.

Background:Low cardiorespiratory fitness is an independent predictor of all-cause and cardiovascular mortality,and interventions that increase fitness reduce ***-walking decreases musculoskeletal impact and risk of falls in older individuals,but it is unclear whether water-walking improves aerobic fitness in the same way as weight-dependent *** randomized controlled trial involved 3 intervention groups—a no-exercise control group(CG),a land-walking(LW)group,and a water-walking(WW)group—to investigate the comparative impacts of LWandWWto CG on ***:Both exercise groups attended individually tailored,center-based,intensity-matched 3×weekly sessions for 24 weeks,which progressed to 150 min of exercise per *** was followed by a 24-week no-intervention *** graded exercise tests were performed on a treadmill at Weeks 0,24,and ***:Maximal oxygen uptake increased from Week 0 to Week 24 in both exercise groups(0.57±0.62 mL/kg/min,0.03±0.04 L/min for LW;0.93±0.75 mL/kg/min,0.06±0.06 L/min for WW,mean±SE)compared to the CG(-1.75±0.78 mL/kg/min,-0.16±0.05 L/min)(group×time,ptime to exhaustion increased significantly following LW only(123.4±25.5 s),which was significantly greater(p=0.001)than the CG(24.3±18.5 s).By Week 48,the training-induced adaptations in the exercise groups returned to near baseline ***:Our study supports current physical-activity recommendations that 150 min/week of moderate-intensity exercise produces improvements in fitness in previously sedentary older ***,LW andWW elicit similar improvements in fitness if conducted at the same relative ***-na?ve older individuals can benefit from the lower impact forces and decreased risk of falls associated withWWwithout compromising improvements in cardiorespiratory fitness.

Polynitrogen compounds, comprising only nitrogen atoms, are rare. they are considered as promising candidates of clean(green) high energy density materials because of their high energy content and their sole decomposition product is N_2. Extending the previous work which was on cyclic N_8 isomers, in this study some cyclic N_(10) isomers having 1-4 cycles are considered within the limitations of density functional theory at the levels of B3LYP/6-311++G(d,p) and B3LYP/cc-PVtZ. Some of the structures,including the monocyclic one, decompose by eliminating certain number of N_2 units while some remain intact. All the stable isomers(1-3, 6-8) investigated presently are highly endothermic that they are candidates for clean high energy materials. Certain quantum chemical properties, IR and UV-VIS spectra as well as the specific impulse values for the stable structures are reported.

the experiment was conducted by using 20 bulls of Lai Sind cattle (a cross breed between Red Sindhi and local Vietnam yellow cattle) from 15 - 16 months of age, weighed approximately 154 - 156 kg, housed individually with provision of adequate feed trough and free access to water to evaluate the effect of tannin sourced from green tea by-product and addition of bio-char on methane production and animal performance. the experimental diets were formulated by replacing elephant grass in basal diet by bio-char and green tea by-product with the replacement of 0.5 - 1 bio-char and 3% - 5% green tea by-products, respectively to make the content of tannin in the diet of 7.3 g and 12.5 g tannin per kg dry matter. Results from this study revealed that bio-char and green tea by-product included into the diet with different levels had significantly affected on the feed intake, as the increasing level of tannin in the diet tended to increase the feed intake. the inclusion of green tea by-product in the diet which resulted in the content of tannin in the diet of 12.5 g/kg DM had significantly reduced methane emission without altering animal performance, thus the inclusion of 0.5% bio-char and 5% of green tea by-product can be applied in order to mitigate methane emission, thus contributed to environment protection.
