The continuous rise of CO2 concentrations in the atmosphere is reducing plant nutritional quality for herbivores and indirectly affects their *** whitefly(Bemisia tabaci,Gennadius)is a major worldwide pest of agricultural crops causing significant yield *** study investigated the plant‐mediated indirect effects of elevated CO2 on the feeding behavior and life history of *** Mediterranean *** were grown under elevated and ambient CO2 concentrations for 3 weeks after which plants were either used to monitor the feeding behavior of whiteflies using the Electrical Penetration graph technique or to examine fecundity and fertility of *** leaf carbon,nitrogen,phenols and protein contents were also analyzed for each *** tabaci feeding on plants exposed to elevated CO2 showed a longer phloem ingestion and greater fertility compared to those exposed to ambient CO2 suggesting that *** is capable of compensating for the plant nutritional ***,this study looked at the transmission of the virus Tomato yellow leaf curl virus(Begomovirus)by *** exposing source and receptor tomato plants to ambient or elevated CO2 levels before or after virus transmission *** indicate that *** transmitted the virus at the same rate independent of the CO2 levels and plant ***,we conclude that *** Mediterranean species prevails over the difficulties that changes in CO2 concentrations may cause and it is predicted that under future climate change conditions,*** would continue to be considered a serious threat for agriculture worldwide.

During the late months of last year,a novel coronavirus was detected in Hubei,*** virus,since then,has spread all across the globe forcing Word Health Organization(WHO)to declare COVID-19 outbreak a *** Spain,the virus started infecting the country slowly until rapid growth of infected people occurred in Madrid,Barcelona and other major *** government in an attempt to stop the rapssid spread of the virus and ensure that health system will not reach its capacity,implement strict measures by putting the entire country in *** duration of these measures,depends on the evolution of the virus in *** this study,a Deep Neural Network approach using Monte Carlo is proposed for generating a database to train networks for estimating the optimal parameters of a SIR epidemiology *** number of total infected people as of April 7 in Spain is considered as input to the Deep Neural *** adaptability of the model was evaluated using the latest data upon completion of this paper,i.e.,April *** date range for the peak of infected people(i.e.,active cases)based on the new information is estimated to be within 74 to 109 days after the first recorded case of COVID-19 in *** addition,a curve fitting measure based on the squared Euclidean distance indicates that according to the current data the peak might occur before the 86th ***,Deep Neural Networks have proven accurate and useful tools in handling big epidemiological data and for peak prediction estimates.

AIM:To provide a comprehensive and more representative national data on the disease,especially on treatment options and outcomes,and to determine access of retinoblastoma patients from Luzon,Visayas and Mindanao to eye care,and determine if access is associated with delay in consultation,staging and ***:Cohort study of retinoblastoma patients seen in eleven institutions located in the three major areas of the Philippines namely Luzon,Vizayas and Mindanao from ***:Totally 636 patients,involving 821 eyes,were ***(57%)were from Luzon and were seen in institutions in Luzon(72%).Annually,58±10 new cases were seen with 71%having unilateral *** delay of consultation remained long at 9(3,17)mo,longest in patients with unilateral disease(Pgraphical location and type of institution(private and public).It also presents more comprehensive data on the treatments used and outcomes(survival,globe salvage,and vision retention rates).Delay in consultation was still long among patients leading to advanced disease stage and lower survival *** increasing capacity to diagnose and manage retinoblastoma in the country,the delay of consultation remains long primarily due to accessibility issues to eye care institutions especially in the Visayas and financial *** delay was still significant that overall survival rate remain low.

The Statistical Experimental Design for Chemical Reactors Modeling

The Statistical Experimental Design techniques are the most powerful tools for the chemical reactors experimental modeling. Empirical models can be formulated for representing the chemical behavior of reactors with the minimal effort in the necessary number of experimental runs, hence, minimizing the consumption of chemicals and the consumption of time due to the reduction in the number of experimental runs and increasing the certainty of the results. Four types of nonthermal plasma reactors were assayed seeking for the highest efficiency in obtaining hydrogen and ethylene. Three different geometries for AC high voltage driven reactors, and only a single geometry for a DC high voltage pulse driven reactor were studied. According to the fundamental principles of chemical kinetics and considering an analogy among the reaction rate and the applied power to the plasma reactor, the four reactors are modeled following the classical chemical reactors design to understand if the behavior of the nonthermal plasma reactors can be regarded as the chemical reactors following the flow patterns of PFR (Plug Flow Reactor) or CSTR (Continuous Stirred Tank Reactor). Dehydrogenation is a common elimination reaction that takes place in nonthermal plasmas. Owing to this characteristic, a paraffinic heavy oil with an average molecular weight corresponding to C15 was used to study the production of light olefins and hydrogen.

The detection of dysplasia in patients with inflammatory bowel disease(IBD)continues to be important given the increased risk of colorectal cancer in this ***,in 2017,we performed a review and update of the recommendations for the management and follow-up of patients with IBD based on the clinical practice guidelines of various scientific *** present manuscript focuses on new aspects of the detection,follow-up,and management of dysplasia according to the latest studies and *** chromoendoscopy with targeted biopsy continues to be the technique of choice for the screening and detection of dysplasia in IBD,the associated difficulties mean that it is now being compared with other techniques(virtual chromoendoscopy),which yield similar results with less technical ***,the emergence of new endoscopy techniques that are still being researched but seem promising(e.g.,confocal laser endomicroscopy and full-spectrum endoscopy),together with the development of devices that improve endoscopic visualization(e.g.,Endocuff Vision),lead us to believe that these approaches can revolutionize the screening and follow-up of dysplasia in patients with ***,further studies are warranted to define the optimal follow-up strategy in this patient population.

Overlap of reflux and eosinophilic esophagitis in two patients requiring different therapies:A review of the literature

Eosinophilic esophagitis (EE) and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) have overlapping clinical, manometric, endoscopic and histopathologic features. The diagnosis of EE is nowadays based upon the presence of 15 or more eosinophils per high power field (eo/HPF) in esophageal biopsies. We report the cases of two young males suffering from dysphagia and recurrent food impaction with reflux esophagitis and more than 20 eo/HPF in upper-mid esophagus biopsies, both of which became asymptomatic on proton pump inhibitor (PPI) therapy. The first patient also achieved a histologic response, while EE remained in the other patient after effective PPI treatment, as shown by 24-h esophageal pH monitoring. Topical steroid therapy combined with PPI led to complete remission in this latter patient. GERD and EE may be undistinguishable, even by histology, so diagnosis of EE should only be established after a careful correlation of clinical, endoscopic and pathologic data obtained under vigorous acid suppression. These diagnostic difficulties are maximal when both diseases overlap. Limited data are available about this topic, and the interaction between EE and GERD is a matter of debate. In this setting, upper-mid esophagus step biopsies and esophageal pH monitoring of patients on PPI therapy are pivotal to evaluate the role of each disease. A PPI trial is mandatory in patients with a histopathologic diagnosis of EE; in those unresponsive to PPI treatment, EE should be suggested. However, a clinical response to PPI may not rule out quiescent EE, as shown in this report.

Brassinosteroids （BRs） are essential hormones for growth and development of plant. In rice, BRs regulate multiple developmental processes and affect many important traits such as height, leaf angle, fertility and seed filling. We identified brassinosteroid-regulated proteins in rice using proteomic approaches and performed functional analysis of some BR-regulated proteins by overexpression experiments. Using two-dimensional difference gel electrophoresis （2-D DIGE） followed by protein identification by mass spectrometry, we compared proteomic differences in the shoots and roots of the BR-insensitive mutant d61-4 and BR-deficient mutant brd1-3. We identified a large number of proteins differentially expressed in the mutants compared with wild type control. These include a glycine-rich RNA-binding protein （OsgrP1） and a DREPP2 protein, which showed reduced levels in the BR mutants. Overexpression of these two proteins partially suppressed the dwarf phenotype of the Arabidopsis BR-insensitive mutant bri1-5. In contrast to the reduced protein level, the RNA level of OsgrP1 was not significantly affected in the BR mutants or by BR treatment, suggesting BR regulation of OsgrP1 at the posttranslational level. This study identifies many BR-regulated proteins and demonstrates that OsgrP1 functions downstream in the BR signal transduction pathway to promote cell expansion.
