The universality of the weak interactions can be tested in semileptonic b→c transitions,and in particular in the ratios R（D＊） ≡ Γ（B → D（＊）τν）/Γ（B → D＊lν）（where 1 = μ or e）.Due to the recent differences between the experimental measurements of these observables by Ba Bar,Belle and LHCb on the one hand and the Standard Model predicted values on the other hand,we study the predicted ratios R（D＊）=Γ（B→D＊τ＋＂missing＂）/Γ（B→D（＊）lν）in scenarios with an additional sterile heavy neutrino of mass ～1 Ge ***,we evaluate the newly defined ratio R（0）≡Γ（B→τ＋＂missing＂）/Γ（B→μν） in such scenarios,in view of the future possibilities of measuring the quantity at Belle-Ⅱ.

This paper presents a novel synthesis method for designing integrated processes for oil-in-water （O/W） emulsions treatment. General superstructure involving alternative separation technologies is developed and modelled as a mixed integer linear programming （MILP） model for maximum annual profit. Separation processes in the superstructure are divided into three main sections of which the pretreatment and final treatment are limited to the selection of one altemative （or bypass） only, while within the intermediate section various combinations of different technologies in series can be selected. Integrated processes composed of selected separation techniques for given ranges of input chemical oxygen demand （COD） can be proposed by applying parametric analyses within the superstructure approach. This approach has been applied to an existing industrial case study for deriving optimal combinations of technologies for treating diverse oil-in- water emulsions within the range of input COD values between 1000 mg-L-1 and 145000 mgL t. The optimal solution represents a flexible and profitable process for reducing the COD values below maximal allowable limits for discharging effluent into surface water.

Neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, Huntington's disease, and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis are a heterogeneous group of debilitating disorders with multifactorial etiologies and pathogeneses that manifest distinct molecular mechanisms and clinical manifestations with abnormal protein dynamics and impaired bioenergetics. Mitochondrial dysfunction is emerging as an important feature in the etiopathogenesis of these age-related neurodegenerative diseases. The prevalence and incidence of these diseases is on the rise with the increasing global population and average lifespan. Although many therapeutic approaches have been tested, there are currently no effective treatment routes for the prevention or cure of these diseases. We present the current status of our knowledge and understanding of the involvement of mitochondrial dysfunction in these diseases and highlight recent advances in novel therapeutic strategies targeting neuronal bioenergetics as potential approach for treating these diseases.

The biological tissue is affected by external and internal deformation forces: tractive/tensile forces, shearing and compressive forces. The bone is deformed under the effect of a force. If the load exceeds the bone solidity limitation, fracture occurs. A mature bone consists of compact and spongy bone tissue. The basic structural unit of the cortical bone tissue is osteons and spongiosa consists of a network of bone trabeculae. The organic and mineral parts of the bone are responsible for the special bone characteristics. The effect of a physical activity on the mechanical characteristics of the bone is associated with the intensity of the load. Fractures are more common in elderly people as the bone structure is altered on account of osteoporosis and contains less bone tissue. Biomechanical characteristics with anatomic and histological bone structure as well as osteoporotic hip fractures are described in the paper.

A novel, Nb- and Si-rich and Be-free Ni-based alloy was cast by two methods of investment casting and continuouscasting to study the microstructure evolution during solidification and its mechanical properties. The solidification of the alloy startedwith the primary crystallization of FCC-γ, followed by a binary eutectic reaction, with the formation of a heterogeneous constituent：FCC-γ＋G-phase, which replaced the low-melting eutectic （FCC-γ＋NiBe） in the Be-bearing alloys. AlNi6Si3 and γ′ formed during theterminal stages of solidification by investment casting, while the formation of AlNi6Si3 was suppressed by continuous casting. TheScheil solidification model agreed very well with the experimental results.

Adenocarcinoma is the most common colon cancer type. This form of colonic neoplasms usually metastasizes initially to regional lymphatic system and through the blood circulation to the lungs and liver, while other forms of expansion and involvement of other organ systems are less common. Extraluminal carcinoma is very rare. Only a few authors describe the direct spread of cancer to adjacent structures and organs. In this paper we present a case of a 76-year old patient with tumor mass extending from the colon to the right hip area “per continuitatem”. The patient had no symptoms and signs that would indicate the presence of neoplastic process in the colon. Only a discomfort in right leg was present and finally tumor mass was visualized. Biopsy and patohistology findings confirmed final diagnosis and type of tumor in the right hip region. Pathohistologicaly tumor was adenocarcinoma.

＜正＞In the paper induction machine（IM） torque control is studied as an example of a three-dimensional non-holonomic integrator that includes drift *** expanding Brockett’s controller derived for the driftless systems,a control structure is proposed that guarantees natural adjustment of both the amplitude and the frequency modulation of the sinusoidal stator current *** rotor flux linkage vector is implicitly forced to track natural periodic orbits satisfying non-holonomic constraints of the *** features of the proposed control include fast dynamics of the torque response,maximal torque per amp ratio for nominal parameters,exponential stability,and robustness regarding expected parameter *** overall IM control scheme requires cascaded high-gain current controllers together with rotor flux linkage vector *** and experimental results illustrate the main characteristics of the proposed control with the emphasis on the quality of the generated machine torque and estimated rotor flux linkage orbits.

背景患者自控镇痛（PCA）时在吗啡中加入氯胺酮最初有很多基础和临床研究支持，但是后来的一些阴性研究结果却对这种方法提出了挑战。那些早期研究中存在的重要缺陷包括：研究的病例数太少，吗啡和氯胺酮联合使用的剂量非最佳剂量以及没有对所有相关结果进行分析。本研究采用大样本分组，比较手术后PCA患者联合使用吗啡和氯胺酮与单独使用吗啡的镇痛效果。我们采用了优化后的前期研究方法以确定吗啡和氯胺酮联合使用的方法。方法研究选择352例大型择期骨科手术的患者，以随机、双盲形式分为2组，一组患者接受单次1．5mg吗啡的PCA（M组，n=176），另一组患者接受单次1．5mg吗啡复合1．5mg氯胺酮的PCA（MK组，n=176）。将治疗中的镇痛不全或发生不可接受的副作用定义为治疗不满意。另外，记录PCA总用药量、PCA使用时间、直接医疗费用和手术后3及6个月慢性疼痛患者的人数。结果PCA治疗不满意的发生率在M组为33．0％而在MK组为36．9％（P=0．50）。对于次要指标，两组间没有显著差异。结论大型骨科手术患者使用吗啡与小剂量氯胺酮PCA并无明显优势，故不推荐作为常规应用。
