Optimal tracking control (OTC) for discrete time-delay systems affected by persistent disturbances with quadratic performance index is considered. by introducing a sensitivity parameter,the original OTC problem is transformed into a series of two-point boundary value (TPbV) problems without time-advance or time-delay terms. The obtained OTC law consists of analytic feedforward and feedback terms and a compensation term which is the sum of an infinite series of adjoint vectors. The analytic feedforward and feedback terms can be found by solving a Riccati matrix equation and two Stein matrix equations. The compensation term can be obtained by using an iteration formula of the adjoint vectors. Observers are constructed to make the approximate OTC law physically realizable. A simulation example shows that the approximate approach is effective in tracking the reference input and robust with respect to exogenous persistent disturbances.

The multiple instance regression problem has become a hot research topic recently. There are several approaches to the multiple instance regression problem, such as Salience, Citation KNN, and MI-ClusterRegress. All of these solutions work in batch mode during the training step. However, in practice, examples usually arrive in sequence. Therefore, the training step cannot be accomplished once. In this paper, an online multiple instance regression method ＂OnlineMIR＂ is proposed. OnlineMIR can not only predict the label of a new bag, but also update the current regression model with the latest arrived bag. The experimental results show that OnlineMIR achieves good performances on both synthetic and real data sets.

In this paper, a Newton-conjugate gradient （CG） augmented Lagrangian method is proposed for solving the path constrained dynamic process optimization problems. The path constraints are simplified as a single final time constraint by using a novel constraint aggregation function. Then, a control vector parameterization （CVP） approach is applied to convert the constraints simplified dynamic optimization problem into a nonlinear programming （NLP） problem with inequality constraints. by constructing an augmented Lagrangian function, the inequality constraints are introduced into the augmented objective function, and a box constrained NLP problem is generated. Then, a linear search Newton-CG approach, also known as truncated Newton （TN） approach, is applied to solve the problem. by constructing the Hamiltonian functions of objective and constraint functions, two adjoint systems are generated to calculate the gradients which are needed in the process of NLP solution. Simulation examlales demonstrate the effectiveness of the algorithm.

An incidence coloring of graph G is a coloring of its incidences in which neighborly incidences are assigned di erent colors. In this paper, the incidence coloring of outerplanar graphs is discussed using the techniques of exchanging colors and the double inductions from the aspect of con guration property. Results show that there exists a (D + 2,2)-incidence coloring in every outerplanar graph, where D is the maximum degree of outerplanar graph.

Three-dimension reconstruction from serial sections has been used in the last decade to obtain information concerning three-dimensional microstructural ge-ometry. One of the crucial steps of three-dimension reconstruction is getting compact and fairing grain contours. based on the achievement of closed raw con-tours of ceramic composite grains by using wavelet and level set, an adaptive method is adopted for the polygonal approximation of the digitized raw contours. Instead of setting a fixed length of support region in advance, the novel method computes the suitable length of support region for each point to find the best es-timated curvature. The dominant points are identified as the points with local maximum estimated curvatures. Periodic closed b-spline approximation is used to find the most compact b-spline grain boundary contours within the given tolerance. A flexible distance selection approach is adopted to obtain the common knot vector of serial contours consisting of less knots that contain enough degrees of freedom to guarantee the existence of a b-spline curve interpolating each contour. Finally, a b-spline surface interpolating the serial contours is generated via b-spline surface skinning.

A polyaluminum chloride (PAC) sample was prepared using a slow alkalinetitration method. The bio-Gel P-100 gel column chromatographic technique was used to separate andcharacterize the various forms of aluminum present in the prepared PAC solution. The effluents froma gel column were monitored using online chemical method: AI-Ferron timed complexationspectropho-tometry and by ^(27)Al nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy. Effects ofdifferent experimental conditions such as eluent flow rate, ionic strength and pH on separation ofAl_(13) were investigated. Experimental results indicated that molecule size exclusion was not theonly parameter affecting the column chromatographic separation efficiency of Al_(13) but moleculecharge as well. Reducing the eluent flow rate, increasing the ionic strength and suitable pHresulted in increase in the separation efficiency. Experimental results clearly indicated that byvarying the experimental conditions, it is possible to produce pure Al_(13) species using a gelcolumn chromatographic technique.

With the increase in mining depth, mine heat harm has appeared to be more prominent. The mine heat harm could be resolvedor reduced by ice refrigeration. Thus, ice transportation through pipeline becomes a critical problem; typically flowresistance occurs in the elbow. In the present study, according to the analysis of the surface morphology of fish scale, abiomimetic functional surface structure for the interior wall of elbow is designed. based on the theory of liquid-solid two phaseflow, a CFD numerical simulation of ice-water mixture flowing through the elbow is carried out using finite element *** experiments of pressure drop and flow resistance for both bionic and common elbows are conducted to test theeffect of the bionic elbow on flow resistance reduction. It is found that with the increase in the ice mass fraction in the ice-watermixture, the effect of bionic elbow on resistance reduction becomes more obvious.

This paper presents the notions of exact observability and exact detectability for Markov jump linear stochastic systems of Ito type with multiplieative noise （for short, MJLSS）. Stochastic Popov-belevith-Hautus （PbH） Criterions for exact observability and exact detectability are respectively obtained. As an application, stochastic H2/H∞ control for such MJLSS is discussed under exact detectability.

based on the differential properties of the smoothing metric projector onto the second-order cone,we prove that,for a locally optimal solution to a nonlinear second-order cone programming problem,the nonsingularity of the Clarke's generalized Jacobian of the smoothing Karush-Kuhn-Tucker system,constructed by the smoothing metric projector,is equivalent to the strong second-order sufficient condition and constraint nondegeneracy,which is in turn equivalent to the strong regularity of the Karush-Kuhn-Tucker ***,this nonsingularity property guarantees the quadratic convergence of the corresponding smoothing Newton method for solving a Karush-Kuhn-Tucker ***,the analysis does not need the strict complementarity condition.
