The Hefei Light Source-Ⅱ(HLS-Ⅱ) is a vacuum ultraviolet synchrotron light source. The personnel safety system (PSS), which is a personnel access control system, is a crucial part of the HLS-Ⅱ, as it protects the staff and users at HLS-Ⅱfrom radiation damages. The prior version of HLS-Ⅱ PSS was based on an access control system called SiPass. This lacked the personnel management function. Meanwhile, as the prior PSS is a turn-key system, it was not effective for sharing information. To overcome these drawbacks, the novel design of PSS for HLS-Ⅱ is proposed based on the Siemens redundant programmable logic controller under the Experimental Physics and Industrial Control System. The proposed PSS consists of a safety interlock system, access control system, and a radiation monitoring system. The safety interlock system is used to define the interlock logic. The access control system is designed to restrict the access of staff and users at HLS-Ⅱ, and to provide a personnel management function. The radiation monitoring system is used to monitor the radiation dose rate in both the light source and the surrounding areas. This paper details the architecture and the specific design of the novel PSS. The off-line test results demonstrate that the proposed system has achieved the design objectives.

Non-evaporable getter(NEG)films are an integral part of many particle *** films provide conductance-free evenly distributed pumping,a low thermal outgassing rate,and a low photon-and electron-stimulated *** characteristics make it an ideal solution for resolving the non-uniform pressure distribution in conductance-limited narrow vacuum *** this study,ternary Ti-Zr-V films were deposited on Si substrates and Ag-Cu(Ag 0.085 wt%)tubes with an inner diameter of 22 *** Ti-Zr-V films were prepared from an alloy target using the same DC magnetron sputtering *** compositions and corresponding chemical bonding states were analyzed by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy after activation at different *** test particle Monte Carlo(TPMC)method was used to measure the sticking probability of the Ti-Zr-V film based on pressure readings during gas *** results indicate that activation commences at temperatures as low as 150℃and Ti~0,Zr~0,and V~0 exist on the surface after annealing at 180℃for 1 ***-Zr-V films can be fully activated at 180℃for 24 *** CO sticking probability reaches 0.15,with a pumping capacity of 1 monolayer.

Harmonic RF cavities are commonly used in storage rings to lengthen the bunches and thus suppress the beam's instabilities and increase its Touschek lifetime. The voltage and phase of the electromagnetic fields in the harmonic cavity are of great importance for stretching the bunch. In the Hefei Light Source storage ring, a passive fourth-harmonic cavity is installed, and the cavity is monitored and controlled by an analog control module provided by its manufacturer. To vary and maintain the voltage of the harmonic cavity in a more effective way, a digital proportional, integral, and derivative feedback system based on the Experimental Physics and Industrial Control System is developed on top of the analog control module. This paper reports the details of the development of this voltage control system. Some test and operational results are also presented.

Physical and chemical processes observed in the mesosphere and thermosphere above the Earth’s low latitudes are complex and highly interrelated to activity in the low-latitude *** sodium detected by lidar can yield clues to dynamic and chemical processes in these spatial layers above the Earth’s *** paper is based on sodium layer data collected at two low-latitude stations,one in the northern hemisphere and one in the *** low-latitude sodium layer exhibits conspicuous seasonal variations in shape,density,and altitude;these variations are similar between Earth’s hemispheres:sodium layer density at both stations reaches its seasonal maximum in autumn and minimum in ***,maximal Na density over Brazil is greater than that over *** variations of Na density above the two low-latitude stations are also similar;at both,maxima are observed before *** variations of the Na layer over Brazil that differ from those observed in the northern hemisphere may be related to the South Atlantic Magnetic Anomaly(SAMA)or fountain *** suggest that low-latitude Na layer data may provide useful additional evidence that could significantly improve the low-latitude part of the WACCM-Na model.

Photoactive complexes of nonprecious transition metals, mainly including those in the first-row and partially the second-row of the Periodic table of elements, have received increasing attention in view of their low cost and long-term sustainability. They are recognized as promising alternatives to noble transition metal complex congeners that have been extensively studied in optoelectronic devices, artificial photosynthesis, photocatalysis, biodiagnostics, and therapeutics, etc. This review is devoted to a comprehensive summary on the classical and recent advances on photoactive nonprecious transition metal complexes, including photoactive Zr, V, Cr, Mo, and W complexes, Mn complexes and hybrids, Fe, Co, Ni, and Cu complexes, and Zn and Cd complexes and hybrids. A particular focus is given on the molecular design, modulation of photophysical and photochemical properties, and applications of the representative and lately-developed nonprecious metal complexes. In addition, a perspective on the future development in this field is provided at the end of this review.

Diffuse-type tenosynovial giant cell tumor(dTGCT) is a destructive but rare benign proliferative synovial neoplasm. Although surgery is currently the main treatment modality for dTGCT, the recurrence risk is up to 50%. Therefore, there is a great need for effective drugs against dTGCT with minor side effects. The Janus kinase(JAK)/signal transducer and activator of transcription(STAT) signaling plays a central role in rheumatoid arthritis(RA), a disease with similar characteristics as dTGCT, but its function in dTGCT remains *** fibroblast-like synoviocytes(FLS) and macrophages were isolated from 10 synovial tissue samples from dTGCT patients for the screening and validation of the five clinically approved JAK inhibitors to treat RA against dTGCT. Cell viability, cell death, inflammation and the activity of the JAK family members of cultured dTGCT FLS(both 2-D and 3-D) and macrophages were investigated for the efficacy of the JAK inhibitors. Here, we found that similar to RA, JAK/STAT signaling was markedly activated in the dTGCT synovium. Of the 5 JAK inhibitors, peficitinib was shown to have the most potency in addressing some of the pathological responses of dTGCT FLS and *** potency of peficitinib was much higher than pexidartinib, which is the only FDA-approved drug for dTGCT. Mechanistically, peficitinib inhibited tyrosine kinase 2(TYK2), a JAK family member necessary for the pathological progression of dTGCT FLS and macrophages. In summary, we not only revealed JAK/STAT(especially TYK2) signaling as the major mechanism underlying dTGCT, but also identified peficitinib as a promising drug against dTGCT.
