The multidisciplinary space environment,encompassing orbital debris,cosmic radiation,and solar radiative heat,poses significant risks to spacecraft and astronauts,necessitating efficient and effective shielding solutions.A multi-layer shield with wide spacing has been proven to be an effective way to shield the spacecraft from space debris impact;however,due to the limited volume of the payload fairing,it was not feasible to apply a multi-layer shield to the spacecraft *** the origami design,the shield maintains a compact form during launch and subsequently expands in outer space to enhance *** geometric analysis,it has been confirmed that the deployable multi-layer space shield can occupy less space than conventional space shield structures while expanding into wider shield intervals and multiple *** hypervelocity impact experiments,it was confirmed that as the bumper spacing of the multi-layer space shield expands,its ballistic performance becomes superior to conventional space *** deployable multi-layer space shield can reduce not only hypervelocity impacts but also solar radiative heat using the same mechanism as multi-layer *** cosmic radiation dose analysis,it has been confirmed that the multi-layer space shield is effective in cosmic radiation shielding compared to conventional space structures.

Incorporation of higher content Si anode material beyond 5 wt% to Li-ion batteries(LIBs)is challenging,owing to large volume change,swelling,and solid electrolyte interphase(SEI)instability ***,a strategy of diacetoxydimethylsilane(DAMS)additive-directed SEI stabilization is proposed for a stable operation of Si-0.33FeSi_(2)(named as Si-Fe)anode without graphite,which provides siloxane inorganics and organics enrichment that compensate insufficient passivation of fluoroethylene carbonate(FEC)additive and reduce a dependence on *** stable cycling performance of highly loaded(3.5 mA h cm^(-2))pure Si-Fe anode is achieved with 2 wt%DAMS combined with 9 wt%FEC additives under ambient pressure,yielding high capacity 1270 mA h g^(-1)at 0.5 C and significantly improved capacity retention of 81% after 100 cycles,whereas short circuit and rapid capacity fade occur with FEC only ***-directed robust SEI layer dramatically suppresses swelling and particles crossover through separator,and therefore prevents short circuit,demonstrating a possible operation of pure Si or Sidominant anodes in the next-generation high-energy-density and safe LIBs.

The ex-situ incorporation of the secondary SiC reinforcement,along with the in-situ incorporation of the tertiary and quaternary Mg_(3)N_(2) and Si_(3)N_(4) phases,in the primary matrix of Mg_(2)Si is employed in order to provide ultimate wear resistance based on the laser-irradiation-induced inclusion of N_(2) gas during laser powder bed *** is substantialized based on both the thermal diffusion-and chemical reactionbased metallurgy of the Mg_(2)Si–SiC/nitride hybrid *** study also proposes a functional platform for systematically modulating a functionally graded structure and modeling build-direction-dependent architectonics during additive *** strategy enables the development of a compositional gradient from the center to the edge of each melt pool of the Mg_(2)Si–SiC/nitride hybrid ***,the coefficient of friction of the hybrid composite exhibits a 309.3%decrease to–1.67 compared to–0.54 for the conventional nonreinforced Mg_(2)Si structure,while the tensile strength exhibits a 171.3%increase to 831.5 MPa compared to 485.3 MPa for the conventional *** outstanding mechanical behavior is due to the(1)the complementary and synergistic reinforcement effects of the SiC and nitride compounds,each of which possesses an intrinsically high hardness,and(2)the strong adhesion of these compounds to the Mg_(2)Si matrix despite their small sizes and low concentrations.

High-mobility group box 1 was first discovered in the calf thymus as a DNA-binding nuclear protein and has been widely studied in diverse fields,including neurology and ***-mobility group box 1 in the extracellular space functions as a pro-inflammatory damage-associated molecular pattern,which has been proven to play an important role in a wide variety of central nervous system disorders such as ischemic stroke,Alzheimer’s disease,frontotemporal dementia,Parkinson’s disease,multiple sclerosis,epilepsy,and traumatic brain *** drugs that inhibit high-mobility group box 1 as a damage-associated molecular pattern,such as glycyrrhizin,ethyl pyruvate,and neutralizing anti-high-mobility group box 1 antibodies,are commonly used to target high-mobility group box 1 activity in central nervous system *** it is commonly known for its detrimental inflammatory effect,high-mobility group box 1 has also been shown to have beneficial pro-regenerative roles in central nervous system *** this narrative review,we provide a brief summary of the history of high-mobility group box 1 research and its characterization as a damage-associated molecular pattern,its downstream receptors,and intracellular signaling pathways,how high-mobility group box 1 exerts the repair-favoring roles in general and in the central nervous system,and clues on how to differentiate the pro-regenerative from the pro-inflammatory *** targeting high-mobility group box 1 in the central nervous system may benefit from differentiating between the two functions rather than overall suppression of high-mobility group box 1.

Effect of internal sloshing on added resistance of ship

The motion responses of ships carrying liquid cargo are affected not only by external wave excitation, but also by internal sloshing-induced forces and moments. Sloshing flow is coupled with the ship motion. This means the added resistance in waves may change when sloshing occurs inside the tank of the ship. In this study, the motion responses and added resistance of a ship, coupled with the sloshing-induced internal forces and moments are considered by using the linear potential theory. The three-dimensional Rankine panel method, in which the physical quantities are represented by using B-spline basis function, is applied. The sloshing flow of inner tanks is also simulated by Using the Rankine panel method and linearized boundary value problem. To study the added resistance, a near-field method, which integrates the second-order pressure on a body surface, is applied. The model ship is a blunt modified Wigley model with two inner tanks. Numerical results obtained without inner tanks are compared with the experimental data, and then the effect of filling ratio of inner tanks on ship motion and added resistance are observed. The components that induce added resistance are examined, and the effects of surge motion on sloshing flow and added resistance are briefly considered. This study shows that the sloshing flow inside the inner tanks may significantly influence not only the motion responses, but also added resistance, especially, when the incident wave frequency approaches the resonance frequency of the sloshing flow.

Popular descriptive multivariate statistical method currently employed is the principal component analyses （PCA） method. PCA is used to develop linear combinations that successively maximize the total variance of a sample where there is no known group structure. This study aimed at demonstrating the performance evaluation of pilot activated sludge treatment system by inoculating a strain of Pseudomonas capable of degrading malathion which was isolated by enrichment technique. An intensive analytical program was followed for evaluating the efficiency of biosimulator by maintaining the dissolved oxygen （DO） concentration at 4.0 mg/L. Analyses by high performance liquid chromatographic technique revealed that 90% of malathion removal was achieved within 29 h of treatment whereas COD got reduced considerably during the treatment process and mean removal efficiency was found to be 78%. The mean pH values increased gradually during the treatment process ranging from 7.36-8.54. Similarly the mean ammonia-nitrogen （NH3-N） values were found to be fluctuating between 19.425-28.488 mg/L, mean nitrite-nitrogen （NO3-N） ranging between 1.301- 2.940 mg/L and mean nitrate-nitrogen （NO3-N） ranging between 0.0071-0.0711 mg/L. The study revealed that inoculation of bacterial culture under laboratory conditions could be used in bioremediation of environmental pollution caused by xenobiotics. The PCA analyses showed that pH, COD, organic load and total malathion concentration were highly correlated and emerged as the variables controlling the first component, whereas dissolved oxygen, NO3-N and NH3-N governed the second component. The third component repeated the trend exhibited by the first two components.

With the rapid growth of e-commerce, customers increasingly write online reviews of the product they purchase. These customer reviews are one of the most valuable sources of information affecting selection of products or services. Summarizing these customer reviews is becoming an interesting area of research, inspiring researchers to develop a more condensed, concise summarization for users. However, most of the current efforts at summarization are based on general product features without feature＇s relationship. As a result, these summaries either ignore feedback from customers or do a poor job of reflecting the opinions expressed in customer reviews. To remedy this summarization shortcoming, we propose a feature network-driven quadrant mapping that captures and incorporates opinions from customer reviews. Our focus is on construction of a feature network, which is based on co-occurrence and sematic similarities, and a quadrant display showing the opinions polarity of feature groups. Moreover, the proposed approach involves clustering similar product features, and thus, it is different from standard text summarization based on abstraction and extraction. The summarized results can help customers better understand the overall opinions about a product.

Aging behavior of Mg-3.6Y-0.5Zr and ***-0.5Zr alloys was investigated by microhardness measurement and transmission electron *** the case of Mg-Y-Zr alloy,the presence ofβ″phase,a major strength- ener,having base centered orthorhombic structure with its lattice constants of a-（β″）=0.64 nm,b-（β″）=2.22 nm, and c-（β″）=0.52 nm was *** the case of Mg-Nd-Zr alloy aged at 250℃,the presence ofβ″andβ′phases was *** crystal structure ofβ″phase was found to be DO-（19） and its orientation relationships with Mg matrix were [0001]-（β″）//[0001]-（Mg） and [01（？）0]-（β″）//[01（？）0]-（Mg）.Theβ′phase had face centered cubic structure and its orientation relationships with Mg matrix were [011]-（β′）//[0001]-（Mg） and [（？）1（？）]β′//[（？）110]）-（Mg）. The ***-0.5Zr alloy showed higher hardness compared with Mg-3.6Y-0.5Zr alloy.

Sensitivity to electricity consumption in urban business and commercial area buildings according to climatic change

Recently, urban high temperature phenomenon has become a problem which results from human activities, the increase in energy consumption, and land-cover change in urban areas. As extremely hot weather caused by urban high temperature continues, demand for power is increased and results in the degradation of electricity reserves. The current trend in climate change, regardless of the summer and winter power demand, is likely to have much effect on the power demand. Thus, sensitivity to electricity consumption in urban areas due to climate change was researched. The results show that, 1） the basic unit of the sensitivity to electricity consumption in the target areas is 1.25-1.58W/（m2.℃）; 2） The maximum sensitivity is recorded at around 8：00 pm in the area crowded with commercial and business area. And in the business area, electricity consumption load is even from 9：00 am to 6：00 pm.
