＜正＞ Multiple alph.l-adrenoceptors seem to contract rat tail artery. Alph.lA- predominates and eith.r alph.1B-,alph.1D-,or alph.1L-is th. second population. We ch.racterized alph.l-adrenoceptors with.selective agonists/antagonists in tail artery of young Wistar rat. Tail artery was exposed to A61603 （N-[5-（4.5- dih.-dro- 1h. imidazol - 2 - yl） - 2 - h.droxy - 5. 6. 7. 8 - tetrah.dronaph.h.len- 1 - yl] meth.nesulfonamide） or to ph.nyleph.ine （alph.lA- and alph.l- agonists ）, and to prazosin （alph.l- antagonist）, th. alph.l A-antagonists 5 - meth.-lurapidil,RS 100329 （5-meth.l - 3 - [3 - [4 - [2 - （2,2,2,-trifluoroeth.xy） ph.nyl] - 1-piperazinyl] propyl] - 2,4-（1h.-pyrimidinedione）,RS 17053 （N- [2（2-cyclopropylmeth.xy） eth.l] - 5-ch.oro-a, a-dimeth.l - 1h.indole - 3-eth.lamine）, and th. alph.1D-antagonist BMY 7378 （8-[2-[4-（2-meth.xyph.nyl） - 1-piperazinyl] eth.l] - 8 - azaspiro[4.5] decane - 7,9 -dione） . A61603 sh.wed 100 fold h.gh.r affinity over Ph.. Prazosin,RS100329,5-MU,and RS17053 displaced agonists with.h.gh.affinity indicating alph.l A-adrenoceptors wh.le Ph. activated alph.l B-adrenoceptors since BMY 7378 h.d low affinity.

AIM：To assess th. proportion of refractive errors in th. Mexican population th.t visited primary care optometry clinics in fourteen states of Mexico. METh.DS：Refractive data from 676 856 patients aged 6 to 90 y were collected from optometry clinics in fourteen states of Mexico between 2014 and 2015. Th. refractive errors were classified by th. sph.rical equivalent（SE）, as follows：sph.re＋？ cylinder. Myopia（SE〉-0.50 D）, h.peropia（SE〉＋0.50 D）, emmetropia（-0.50≤SE≤＋0.50）, and astigmatism alone（cylinder≥-0.25 D）. A negative cylinder was selected as a ***：Th. proportion（95% confidence interval） among all of th. subjects was h.peropia 21.0%（20.9-21.0）, emmetropia 40.7%（40.5-40.8）, myopia 24.8%（24.7-24.9） and astigmatism alone 13.5%（13.4-13.5）. Myopia was th. most common refractive error and frequency seemed to increase among th. young population（10 to 29 years old）, h.wever, h.peropia increased among th. aging population（40 to 79 years old）, and astigmatism alone sh.wed a decreasing trend with.age（6 to 90y; from 19.7% to 10.8%）. Th.re was a relationsh.p between age and all refractive errors（approximately 60%, aged 50 and older）. Th. proportion of any clinically important refractive error was h.gh.r in males（61.2%） th.n in females（58.3%; P〈0.0001）. From fourteen states th.t collected information, th. proportion of refractive error sh.wed variability in different geograph.cal areas of ***：Myopia is th. most common refractive error in th. population studied. Th.s study provides th. first data on refractive error in Mexico. Furth.r programs and studies must be developed to address th. refractive errors needs of th. Mexican population.
