Over the years, the amount of information about patients and medical information has grown substantially. Moreover, due to an increase of blood diseases patients, conventional diagnostic tests have been using by the medical pathologists which are low in cost and result in an inaccurate diagnosis. To recognize optimal disease pattern from hematological data, a reliable prediction methodology is needed for medical professionals. Data mining approaches permit users to examine data from various dimensions, group it and sum up the relationships identified. Classification is a vital data mining technique with extensive applications. Classification algorithms are applied to categorize every item in a set of data into one of a known set of classes. The objective of this paper is to compare different classification algorithms using Waikato Environment for Knowledge Analysis and to find out a most effective algorithm for end-user functioning on hematological data. The most efficient algorithm found is Random Forest having accurateness at 96.47% and the overall time is taken to construct the model is 0.16 seconds which is more efficient than different existing works. On the contrary, Multilayer Perceptron classifier has the lowest accuracy of 75.29% with 1.92 seconds to construct the model.

As nearly half of the people in the world live on rice, so the rice leaf disease detection is very important for our agricultural sector. Many researchers worked on this problem and they achieved different results according to their applied techniques. In this paper, we applied AlexNet technique to detect the three prevalence rice leaf diseases termed as bacterial blight, brown spot as well as leaf smut and got a remarkable outcome rather than the previous works. AlexNet is a special type of classification technique of deep learning. This paper shows more than 99% accuracy due to adjusting an efficient technique and image augmentation.

Introduction: Multi-drug resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB) is a public health crisis throughout the world including Bangladesh particularly due to its complexities in diagnosis, longer treatment regimen, and adverse drug reaction. Nutritional supplementation has significant impact on patient’s weigh gain and optimum weight gain is a biomarker of treatment response. The objective of this study was to measure body mass index (BMI) progress among MDR-TB patients in different phases of treatment. Methodology: A prospective observational study was conducted from March 2010 to July 2015 in Chest Disease Hospital (CDH), Rajshahi and different communities of Rajshahi Division, Bangladesh. A total of 233 confirmed MDR-TB patients were selected from CDH who received treatment and nutritional support from ongoing national TB control program (NTP). They received free diagnosis, follow up tests, treatment and nutritional support as regular diet as well as cash amount Bangladeshi taka (BDT.) 1000 per month in CDH. Along with treatment, they also received only cash amount BDT. 1500 per month as nutritional support at community level. Weight measurement was taken at regular interval from enrollment to completion of treatment. Chi-square, paired t-test and linear regression analysis were used in this study.

Status of ESBL Producing Bacteria Isolated from Skin Wound at a Tertiary Care Hospital in Bangladesh

Background: ESBL producing bacteria are increasing with an alarming rate with a wide range of infections. Objective: The purpose of the present study was to see the status of ESBL producing bacteria isolated from skin wounds. Methodology: This cross sectional study was conducted in the Department of Microbiology at Mymensingh Medical College, Bangladesh from January 2011 to June 2011 for a period of 6 months. All the patients, at any age with both sexes presented with skin wound infection, were taken as study population. Wound swab was taken from all patients. Specimens were processed and bacteria were isolated and identified according to standard procedure. The ESBL status was confirmed by double disc diffusion test (DDDT) and minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) by agar dilution method by standard procedure according to Clinical Laboratory Standard Institute (CLSI). Antimicrobial resistance was done by disc diffusion method. Result: A total number of 84 wound swabs were taken of which the most common ESBL producing bacteria were Esch. coli (61.5%),?Proteus species (78.3%) and Klebsiella species (88.9%). All the isolates were sensitive to imipenem and nitrofurantoin followed by amikacin (92.9%). Conclusion: In conclusion, ESBL producing E. coli is the most common bacteria causing skin wound infection followed by Proteus species with a reduced sensitivity towards antibiotics.

Bangladesh experiences frequent hydro-climatic disasters such as *** disasters are believed to be associated with land use changes and climate ***,identifying the factors that lead to flooding is *** study mapped flood susceptibility in the northeast region of Bangladesh using Bayesian regularization back propagation(BRBP)neural network,classification and regression trees(CART),a statistical model(STM)using the evidence belief function(EBF),and their ensemble models(EMs)for three time periods(2000,2014,and 2017).The accuracy of machine learning algorithms(MLAs),STM,and EMs were assessed by considering the area under the curve—receiver operating characteristic(AUC-ROC).Evaluation of the accuracy levels of the aforementioned algorithms revealed that EM4(BRBP-CART-EBF)outperformed(AUC>90%)standalone and other ensemble models for the three time periods ***,this study investigated the relationships among land cover change(LCC),population growth(PG),road density(RD),and relative change of flooding(RCF)areas for the period between 2000 and *** results showed that areas with very high susceptibility to flooding increased by 19.72%between 2000 and 2017,while the PG rate increased by 51.68%over the same *** Pearson correlation coefficient for RCF and RD was calculated to be *** findings highlight the significant association between floods and causative *** study findings could be valuable to policymakers and resource managers as they can lead to improvements in flood management and reduction in flood damage and risks.

Increasing photosynthesis and light capture offers possibilities for improving crop yield and provides a sustainable way to meet the increasing global demand for ***,the poor light transmittance of transparent plastic films and shade avoidance at high planting density seriously reduce photosynthesis and alter fruit quality in vegetable crops,and therefore it is important to investigate the mechanisms of light signaling regulation of photosynthesis and metabolism in tomato(Solanum lycopersicum).Here,a combination of red,blue,and white(R1W1B0.5)light promoted the accumulation of chlorophyll,carotenoid,and anthocyanin,and enhanced photosynthesis and electron transport rates by increasing the density of active reaction centers and the expression of the genes LIGHT-HARVESTING COMPLEX B(SlLHCB)and A(SlLHCA),resulting in increased plant *** addition,R1W1B0.5 light induced carotenoid accumulation and fruit ripening by decreasing the expression of LYCOPENEβ-CYCLASE(SlCYCB).Disruption of SlCYCB largely induced fruit lycopene accumulation,and reduced chlorophyll content and photosynthesis in leaves under red,blue,and white *** studies showed that ELONGATED HYPOCOTYL 5(SlHY5)directly activated SlCYCB,SlLHCB,and SlLHCA expression to enhance chlorophyll accumulation and ***,R1W1B0.5 light-induced chlorophyll accumulation,photosynthesis,and SlHY5 expression were largely decreased in the slphyb1cry1 ***,R1W1B0.5 light noticeably promoted photosynthesis,biomass,and fruit quality through the photoreceptor(SlPHYB1 and SlCRY1)-SlHY5-SlLHCA/B/SlCYCB module in ***,the manipulation of light environments in protected agriculture is a crucial tool to regulate the two vital agronomic traits related to crop production efficiency and fruit nutritional quality in tomato.

Automated attendance management system will reduce complexity by eliminating plenty of manual processes involved in attendance system and calculating hours attended. This paper presents a simple technique of taking student attendance in the form of an Internet of Things (IoT) based system that records the attendance using fingerprint-based system and stores them securely in a database. We use NodeMCUV3, RFID Module and Fingerprint sensor module in our system. The fingerprint module is responsible for authentication of the students. RFID Module is used to scan the RFID tag and sends data to the central server. By using this information, the system will generate an attendance report which can be accessed for further use.

Objective:To analyze in-vitro antimicrobial activities of some ethno-pharmacologically significant medicinal plants(methanol extract) against the pathogenic microorganisms(Escherichia coli,Salmonella spp..Bacillus *** *** niger and Candida albicans).Methods:The disc diffusion method was applied for antibacterial test and the poisoned food technique was applied for antifungal ***:The methanol extract of Terminalia chebula(bark),Fhyllanthus acidus(fruits).Sarcochlamys pulcherrima(leaves) and Abelmoschus esculcntus(fruits) had significant in vitro antibacterial activity angainst the entire test samples in comparison to standard drug *** of the plant extracts showed low activity against Gram negative bacteria while potential activity against Gram positive *** antifungal activities of methanol extracts of these plants and standard drug griseofulvin were determined against two pathogenicfungi,and Polygonum Iapathifolium(leaves) and Cinnamomum tamala(leaves) showed maximum activity,while Erioglossum rubiginosum(leaves) showed no antifungal ***:Further chemical and pharmacological investigations are required to identify and isolate chemical constituents responsible for these potential bioactivities and thus to determine their full spectrum of efficacy.

目的观察SD大鼠腰动脉结扎脊髓缺血损伤后Fas、含半胱氨酰天冬氨酸特异性蛋白酶-3（Caspase-3）、肿瘤坏死因子-α（TNF-α）、核因子-κB（NF-κB）、神经生长因子（NGF）、生长相关蛋白-43（GAP-43）及脑源性神经生长因子（BDNF）表达的变化,探讨SD大鼠脊髓缺血性损伤后自我修复的过程.方法 56只SD大鼠随机分为缺血组和假手术组.假手术组14只,缺血组42只,缺血组分别再随机分为缺血1、2、4、6、8、12和24h组,以假手术组相同阶段的脊髓为对照,采用神经功能评定法（BMS评分）评估各组行为学的变化,并采用免疫组织化学方法检测脊髓中Fas、Caspase-3、TNF-α、NF-κB、NGF、GAP-43及BDNF的表达变化.结果缺血组SD实验大鼠BMS评分在缺血后立即出现显著降低[（0.58 ±0.66）分],至缺血后24h逐渐恢复至正常水平[（8.33±0.61）分],与假手术组比较差异无统计学意义（P＞0.05）,免疫组织化学染色结果显示Fas、Caspase-3、TNF-α、NF-κB表达的阳性细胞数在缺血后立即显著增多,其值分别为（45.50±4.18、47.50±3.27、53.50±7.71、57.83±4.79）,与假手术组比较差异均有统计学意义（P＜0.05）,除Fas外（7.50±1.87）,其余各个指标至缺血后24h逐渐恢复至正常水平,与假手术组比较差异均无统计学意义（P＞0.05）.GAP-43在缺血后阳性表达细胞数立即增多（6.33±1.21）,缺血后各组与假手术组比较差异均有统计学意义（P＜0.05）,NGF在缺血后8 h（37.33±1.37）阳性表达细胞数才开始增多,随后逐渐升高,缺血后8、12、24 h与假手术组比较均有统计学意义（P＜0.05）,BDNF阳性表达细胞数在缺血后1、2h（22.83±1.94、23.83±1.94）显著低于假手术组,于缺血后4 h（31.33±2.16）开始上升,随后逐渐升高,缺血后4、6、8、12、24 h与假手术组比较差异均有统计学意义（P＜0.05）.结论 SD大鼠全部腰动脉结扎致脊髓缺血性损伤后24 h可恢复至正常水平,Fas、Caspase-3、TNF-α、NF-κB表达降低及NGF、GAP-43、BDNF表达增强可能与其自我恢复机制有关.
