Nanostructured metals possess various excellent properties and offer the potential for a wide range of *** in the properties and performance of nanostructured metal components motivate a complete characterization of the microstructures and crystallographic orientations of nanostructured metals with nanoscale spatial *** well developed orientation mapping techniques for such characterization are electron backscatter diffraction(EBSD)in the scanning electron microscope and precession electron diffraction(PED)using diffraction spots in the transmission electron ***,these methods can only characterize the structure in two *** is still a great challenge to characterize grains in three dimensions,*** the interior of the nanostructured ***,three-dimensional orientation mapping in the transmission electron microscope(3 D-OMi TEM)was developed and further improvements of this technique are introduced in this *** of these orientation mapping techniques for structural and orientational characterizations are demonstrated by examples of surface-deformed metals with gradient nanostructures,and a sputtered gold film of nano-islands containing *** merits and challenges of each of these techniques are discussed and suggestions for further developments are proposed.

A number of methods for estimating the stored energy of deformation from EBSD data have been *** methods are illustrated here using samples of AA1100 deformed to strains of εvM=2.4 and εvM=4.0 using the accumulative roll bonding process.A qualitative method,based on pattern contrast,reveals some aspects of local differences in stored energy in the deformed *** methods where the stored energy is estimated through the use of the Read-Shockley equation have also been examined.A special mean misorientation angle is developed to take account of nonlinearity of the Read-Shockley *** approaches have been *** is based on subgrain reconstruction and the other is based on misorientation angles taken directly from an orientation *** show that the subgrain method is particularly sensitive to orientation noise in the data and care must be taken when using this method.

The microstructure changes and texture evolution of the magnesium alloy AZ31 have been investigated during compression at the temperature of 150℃ to various *** twinning and slip system activities were observed in the compression *** samples, which were cut from a rolled sheet,were compressed with the compression axis parallel to the sheet transverse direction(TD).The electrori backscattered diffraction(EBSD)technique in the scanning electron microscope(SEM)was used to investigate the local texture and microstructure *** EBSD data will show much more evidence about the activities of the{10-12}tensile twinning and basal〈a〉slip which play an important role in explaining the deformation behaviors in terms of the anisotropy and the texture *** texture will affect the mechanical properties because the crystallography orientation has a significant relationship to twinning and slip systems which corresponding to the deformation conditions.

The difference in orientation noise between regions near low angle boundaries and grain interiors has been *** measurements were made on samples of high purity nickel(99.999%)cold-rolled to a reduction of 98% and then annealed at 800℃ to give a strong cube texture.A pattern quality type parameter shows lower pattern qualities from volumes near the low angle ***,despite these differences the orientation noise in near-boundary regions was not found to be significantly worse than in grain interiors.A significant variation was observed however in the orientation noise for grains of different orientation.

采用SEM、TEM和XRD研究了珠光体钢丝冷拉拔过程中的组织演变,重点在于渗碳体的变形和溶解。结果表明,渗碳体表现出了很高的变形能力,随着累积应变量的增大,片条组织逐渐转向拉拔方向;在大应变钢丝组织中渗碳体片条厚度小,部分区域只有0.5nm甚至更薄,且已很难见到渗碳体的滑移或剪切变形。在初始钢丝中铁素体含有过饱和的碳,在拉拔应变量为1.51之后,可能转变为四方结构的马氏体,且只有很少量的渗碳体溶解。在高应变量钢丝样品中,用原子探针场离子显微镜探测碳原子浓度以判定渗碳体是否溶解时,应考虑渗碳体的形变及其形貌。

In this paper we describe a method for improving the angular resolution of the electron backscatter diffraction(EBSD) technique based on a correlative matching of EBSD *** image interpolation methods are used to detect shifts between selected regions of the EBSD patterns to an accuracy of one tenth of a *** data sets are used to show that such accuracy,combined with a small angle approximation in calculation of the rotation angle,allows determination of the misorientation between patterns to an accuracy of 0.01 *** method is tested on samples of both single crystal aluminum and recrystallized *** results demonstrate the accuracy and stability of the new method compared to the conventional method.

利用放电等离子体烧结(SPS)技术制备了粗晶(13μm)和细晶(2μm)两种镍样品。EBSD分析表明,两种烧结样都没有织构,且它们的晶粒都为完全再结晶组织。对此烧结样进行单轴压缩,研究晶粒尺寸对形变中微观组织演变的影响。在样品坐标系中,用每个像素点相对于平均取向的旋转轴来构图,结果显示在一些大晶粒中有扩展的平直界面。滑移迹线和Schmid因子分析表明,这些界面平行于{111}迹线的晶粒,其取向与前人研究的有相同微观组织的大晶粒取向相同。对于SPS烧结的粗晶样和细晶样,几乎每个晶粒内部都发生了一定程度的晶粒分裂。
