The formation of calcium phosphate phases is extremely important in a biomedical engineering context. These phosphates are used in many applications, such as grafts, drug-delivery processes and evaluation of the bioactivity of metallic surfaces. Considering this scenario, it is useful to evaluate the thermodynamic conditions for the precipitation of phosphates of biomedical interest, mainly hydroxyapatite. In this work, we investigate the effects of two important factors using a thermodynamic framework: 1) carbon dioxide partial pressure;and 2) buffer type (2-Amino-2-hydroxy- methyl-propane-1,3-diol, known as TRIS and 2-[4-(2-hydroxyethyl)piperazin-1-yl] ethanesulfonic acid, also called HEPES), on the driving force behind the precipitation of calcium phosphates in simulated body fluids. The in silico results show that the pH value is governed by carbon dioxide content, as expected to occur in vivo. Moreover, the buffers can deplete the free calcium available in solution and, consequently, can cause difficulties in the calcium phosphate precipitation.

Background:In this study,we aimed to investigate the molecular basis of lactation as well as to identify the genetic factors that influence milk yield and composition in *** achieve these two goals,we have analyzed how the mRNA profile of the mammary gland changes in seven Murciano-Granadina goats at each of three different time points,i.e.78 d(T1,early lactation),216 d(T2,late lactation)and 285 d(T3,dry period)after ***,we have performed a genome-wide association study(GWAS)for seven dairy traits recorded in the 1st lactation of 822 Murciano-Granadina ***:The expression profiles of the mammary gland in the early(T1)and late(T2)lactation were quite similar(42 differentially expressed genes),while strong transcriptomic differences(more than one thousand differentially expressed genes)were observed between the lactating(T1/T2)and non-lactating(T3)mammary glands.A large number of differentially expressed genes were involved in pathways related with the biosynthesis of amino acids,cholesterol,triglycerides and steroids as well as with glycerophospholipid metabolism,adipocytokine signaling,lipid binding,regulation of ion transmembrane transport,calcium ion binding,metalloendopeptidase activity and complement and coagulation *** regard to the second goal of the study,the performance of the GWAS allowed us to detect 24 quantitative trait loci(QTLs),including three genome-wide significant associations:QTL1(chromosome 2,130.72-131.01 Mb)for lactose percentage,QTL6(chromosome 6,78.90-93.48 Mb)for protein percentage and QTL17(chromosome 17,11.20 Mb)for both protein and dry matter ***,QTL6 shows positional coincidence with the casein genes,which encode 80%of milk ***:The abrogation of lactation involves dramatic changes in the expression of genes participating in a broad array of physiological processes such as protein,lipid and carbohydrate metabolism,calcium homeostasis,cell death and tissue remo

Accommodative response and its possible role in myopia development has been explored through the study of the microfluctuations(MFs) of accommodation, which are commonly divided in high(1.0 to 2.3 Hz) and low(0.1 to 0.6 Hz) frequency components. Previous research efforts have evidenced that a certain percentage of the amplitude of MFs seems not to originate in the accommodative response. We aimed to develop and test a new approach to reduce this non-accommodative noise. For this purpose, ten healthy participants were enrolled to determine the difference between the amplitude of MFs at near and distance for each range of frequencies, which was defined as the relative amplitude of MFs. The findings support the exploration of the relative rather than absolute values of the amplitude of MFs to better understand the contribution of both accommodative and non-accommodative factors to MFs.

The aim of this work was to evaluate the catalytic properties of a Ru promoted Co/SBA-15 catalyst for Fischer-Tropsch synthesis （FTS）. The Ru promoted Co/SBA-15 catalyst was prepared by wet impregnation method and was characterized by X-ray diffraction, X-ray energy dispersion spectrophotometer, N2 adsorption-desorption, temperature-programmed reduction and transmission electron microscopy. The Fischer-Tropsch synthesis using the catalyst was carried out to evaluate the catalyst activity and its effect on FTS product distribution. The synthesis was carried out in a slurry reactor operating at 513 K, 20 atm, CO ： H2 molar ratio of 1 ： 1. X-ray diffraction showed that the calcined cobalt catalyst did not modify the structure of SBA-15, proving that Co was present in the form of Co3O4 in the catalyst. The addition of cobalt in SBA-15 decreased the specific superficial area of the molecular sieve. Fischer-Tropsch synthesis activity and C5＋ hydrocarbon selectivity increased with the addition of Ru. The increases in activity and selectivity were attributed to the increased number of active sites resulting from higher reducibility and the synergetic effect of Ru and Co. Ru/Co/SBA-15 catalysts showed moderate conversion （40%） and high selectivity towards the production of C5＋（80 wt%）.

The bridged tri imidazoliums 3·3X --5·3X - (X -=PF - 6, Br -, I -) and bis imidazoliums 6·2PF - 6 were synthesized by N quaternization of imidazole derivative 1 in acetonitrile under reflux. UV spectroscopic titration experiments showed that the halide salts and hexafluorophosphate salts of these imidazoliums exhibited good recognition toward anions in water and in acetonitrile, respectively.

Objective:To evaluate the anti-hyperlipidemic activity of lemongrass oil against in dexamethasone induced hyperlipidemia in ***:Administration of dexamethasone was given at 10 mg/kg,*** the adult rats for 8 d induces hyperlipidemia characterized by marked increase in serum cholesterol and triglyceride levels along with increase in atherogenic ***:Lemongrass oil(100 and 200 mg/kg,po.) treatment has showed significant inhibition against dexamethasone hyperlipidemia by maintaining the serum levels of cholesterol, triglycerides and atherogenic index near to the normal levels and the antihyperlipidemic effect of the lemongross oil was comparable with atorvastatin 10 mg/kg,*** possible mechanism may be associated with decrease in lecithin cholesterol acetyl transferase(LCAT) ***:These results suggested that Lemon gross oil possess significant antihyperlipidemic activity.

背景:乳腺癌(breast cancer,BC)是女性中最常见的肿瘤,也是全球第二大肿瘤。导管原位癌(ductal carcinoma in situ,DCIS)是浸润性乳腺癌发展的一个前阶段,其具有成为进展性疾病的高风险。但是DCIS进展到浸润性导管癌(invasive ductal carcinoma,IDC)的过程目前还不完全清楚。对进展过程中发生的生物分子学改变的研究仍然是研究热点,以发现具有临床应用价值的生物标志物。在各种分子因子中,FAT1蛋白在多种肿瘤中起到肿瘤抑制作用。目标:研究FAT1在各种乳腺疾病中的表达水平,并探索FAT1在乳腺癌中进展的作用。方法:收集45例乳腺组织,包括不同临床分期,其中乳腺良性病变10例,作为阴性对照组,乳腺导管原位癌5例,浸润性导管癌5例,浸润性导管癌合并导管原位癌(invasive ductal carcinoma with ductal carcinoma in situ,IDC-DCIS)25例。主要采用免疫组织化学方法,检测乳腺癌及乳腺良性病变中FAT1蛋白的表达水平。使用SPSS 21.0统计分析软件进行数据分析乳腺癌相关参数与乳腺癌组织中FAT1表达水平之间的相关性。结果:FAT1蛋白在乳腺良性病变和乳腺导管原位癌中的表达水平无统计学差异,P>0.05(P=0.202)。FAT1蛋白在乳腺良性病变与浸润性导管癌之间的差异具有统计学意义,P<0.05(P=0.015)。FAT1蛋白在乳腺导管原位癌与浸润性导管癌之间的差异具有统计学意义,P<0.05(P=0.009)。FAT1蛋白在浸润性导管癌合并导管癌原位癌组织内之间的差异具有统计学意义,P<0.05(P=0.008)。结论:FAT1蛋白在原位癌与良性组织中高表达;FAT1蛋白在浸润性癌中低表达;FAT1蛋白在同一组织中(浸润性导管癌合并导管原位癌),原位癌成分高表达,浸润性癌成分中低表达;原位癌向浸润性癌转变的过程可能与FAT1蛋白的丢失有关;FAT1可能作为乳腺癌预后的生物标志物具有应用前景。
