The crust and upper mantle in China’s mainland were relatively densely probed with wide-angle seismic profiling since 1958,and the data have provided constraints on the amalgamation and lithosphere deformation of the continent,Based on the collection and digitization of crustal P-wave velocity models along related wide-angle seismic profiles,we construct several crustal transects across major tectonic units in China’s mainland,In our study,we analyzed the seismic activity,and seismic energy releases during 1970 and 2010 along them,We present seismogenic layer distribution and calculate the yield stress envelopes of the lithosphere along the transects,yielding a better understanding of the lithosphere rheology strength beneath China’s mainland,Our results demonstrate that the crustal thicknesses of different tectonic provinces are distinctively different in China’s mainland,The average crustal thickness is greater than 65 km beneath the Tibetan Plateau,about 35 km beneath South China,and about 36-38 km beneath North China and Northeastern *** the basins,the thickness is-55 km beneath Qaidam,～50 km beneath Tarim,～40 km beneath Sichuan and-35 km beneath *** study also shows that the average seismic P-wave velocity is usually slower than the global average,equivalent with a more felsic composition of crust beneath the four tectonic blocks of China’s mainland resulting from the complex process of lithospheric evolution during Triassic and Cenozoic continent -continent and Mesozoic ocean-continent *** identify characteristically different patterns of seismic activity distribution in different tectonic blocks,with bi-,or even tri-peak distribution of seismic concentration in South Tibet,which may suggest that crustal architecture and composition exert important control role in lithosphere *** calculated yield stress envelopes of lithosphere in China’s mainland can be divided into three *** results indicate that the lithosphere rh

良性甲状腺疾病继续教育文章的第2部分涉及结节性甲状腺肿、甲状腺功能减退症(简称甲减)和亚急性甲状腺炎。该文与第1部分(甲状腺功能亢进症的各种形式)一起,旨在为进行良性甲状腺疾病患者临床管理的核医学专科医师(该系列文章的主要读者)提供相关信息。甲状腺肿表现为甲状腺的肿大,是1种常见的内分泌异常。体质因素、基因异常或者饮食和环境因素可能会导致结节性甲状腺肿的发生。大多数非毒性结节性甲状腺肿患者没有症状或只有轻微的机械性症状(咽球症)。这些患者的诊断性检查包括促甲状腺激素、游离三碘甲状腺原氨酸(T3)、游离甲状腺素(T4)、甲状腺自身抗体检测,超声成像、甲状腺显像和对具有明确超声和显像特征的结节进行细针抽吸活组织检查。多结节性甲状腺肿的治疗包括补充膳食碘、手术、放射性碘治疗(缩减甲状腺大小)和微创消融技术。甲减的范围从罕见的黏液性水肿到更常见的轻度形式(亚临床甲减)。原发性甲减通常有1个自身免疫性病因。新生儿、儿童、成人和老年患者的临床表现不同。诊断性检查包括甲状腺功能检测和超声成像。核医学主要用于定位先天性甲减的异位甲状腺组织或通过高氯酸盐排泌试验检测碘有机化缺陷。治疗包括使用L-T4进行甲状腺替代治疗,根据患者个体代谢和激素需求来调整每日剂量。亚急性甲状腺炎是甲状腺的1种自限性炎性疾病,常伴有无痛性或疼痛性腺体肿胀和躯体体征或症状。炎性反应会破坏甲状腺滤泡细胞,导致储存的T4和T3快速释放,形成初期的甲状腺毒性阶段,随后通常会发生暂时或永久性的甲减。虽然亚急性甲状腺炎常与病毒感染有关,但尚未确定感染源。亚急性甲状腺炎可能是由于遗传易感者被病毒感染所引起的。诊断性检查包括实验室检查、超声成像和放射性核素显像。根据疾病的不同阶段,甲状腺显像可有不同表现,在甲状腺功能亢进期,甲状腺的显像剂摄取量极低或没有,到恢复后期时,甲状腺显像恢复正常。由于亚急性甲状腺炎是自限性的,治疗目的主要为缓解疼痛。大剂量非甾体类抗炎药通常是一线治疗药。如果剧烈疼痛持续存在,可能需要1个疗程的皮质类固醇治疗。高达15%的亚急性甲状腺炎患者会出现永久性甲减,甚至在发病1年后才出现。

Throughout history, humanity has referred to reactions occurring with food, plants and, recently, medicines or drugs. The increase in pulmonary tuberculosis cases and the availability of treatment showed that genetic human differences can interfere in the capacity to metabolize drugs. There are remarkable genetic polymorphisms of N-acetyltransferase 2 (NAT2) activity that have been associated with different levels of susceptibility to developing many kinds of cancers. This review considers the field as an open window for the application of molecular epidemiology tools that led to the development of pharmacogenomics. We cover historical data and the most recent knowledge about NAT2 genetic polymorphisms and its distribution in different populations, which is an important concept being incorporated in epidemiological studies of cancer risk. We present up to date information about these studies, including meta-analysis based on the NAT2 distribution in different types of cancer. A critical broad at advances in NAT2 research, high-lighting recent studies related to NAT2 alleles in cancer susceptibility. Although there are multifactorial aspects involved in cancer risk, the variability in NAT2 allelic frequency can be related to carcinogenesis through alterations in the metabolic rate after exposure to carcinogens.

The structure and Theology of the lithosphere can provide constraints on our understanding of the geodynamic processes in the Earth’s *** lateral heterogeneity of the strength and rheological structure of the lithosphere are closely correlated with the lateral variation in the thickness of the seismogenic *** is still unclear how geodynamic process(es) are linked with this lateral variation in the geophysical properties of the *** order to understand the possible links between geodynamical process and lateral variation of lithosphere strength,we compiled crustal velocity and density structure,the elastic thickness of the lithosphere,and the temperature field,and then construct a northeast-southwest transect of the lithosphere across the eastern part of the North China Craton(NCC) with an overall length of 1660 *** the lithosphere-scale transect,we observe that(a) a thinner(80-120 km) Archean lithosphere at the North China Plain(NCP),(b) a lateral variation of the seismogenic brittle layer,which is about 15 km thick beneath the Qinling-Dabie orogenic belt(QDOB) and the Yanshan orogenic belt(YSOB), and about 25 km thick under the ***,these characteristics represent an excellent illustration of the scale of geodynamic processes necessary to accommodate lateral variations in lithospheric strength and the contribution of these to the mechanism of disruption of the Archean *** thick seismogenic layer beneath the NCP can be formed due to:(1) deeper fault penetration beneath the NCP than beneath the QDOB and the YSOB;(2) the thick brittle layer is preserved after delamination of the lower part of the thickened crust;(3) thickening by changes to brittleness of the brittle/ductile transition layer(BDTL),With constraints of above mentioned geophysical properties of the lithosphere,we propose that(1) only the first and third processes can successfully explain the lateral variation of the thickness of the seismogenic layer across the ea

We report the case of a 14-year-old boy affected by ulcerative colitis (UC) and acute thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP) with simultaneous onset. UC diagnosis was based on symptoms, endoscopy and histology findings. ITP diagnosis was based on the normal bone marrow megakaryocyte count, the presence of platelet associated IgG and the absence of splenomegaly. Medical treatments including high doses of steroids, intravenous immunoglobulins were ineffective on ITP course, while UC course was mild for several months after the onset. When colonic inflammation became untractable not responsive at steroids and immunosuppressive agents, colectomy resolved both pathologies.
