A multiple criteria decision analy.is （MCDA） approach is designed for capturing the relative preference information of a decision maker involved in ＇a conflict. More specifically. an MCDA approach based on the outranking method, ELECTRE III, is employ.d for ranking states or possible scenarios in the conflict from most to least preferred, where ties are allowed, for a decision maker according to his or her value sy.tem. To demonstrate how this preference elicitation methodology.can be conveniently.implemented in practice within the framework of the Graph Model for Conflict Resolution, it is applied to a real world water supply.crisis which occurred in the town of North Battleford, located in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan.

To gain insight into the flow mechanisms and stress sensitivity.for fractured-vuggy.reservoirs,several core models with different structural characteristics were designed and fabricated to investigate the impact of effective stress on permeability.for carbonate fractured-vuggy.rocks(CFVR).It shows that the permeability.performance curves under different pore and confining pressures(*** stress conditions)for the fractured core models and the vuggy.core models have similar change *** ranges of permeability.variation are significantly.wider at high pore pressures,indicating that permeability.reduction is the most significant during the early.stage of development for fractured-vuggy.*** each obtained effective stress coefficient for permeability.ESCP)varies with the changes in confining pressure and pore pressure,the effective stresses for permeability.of four representative CFVR show obvious nonlinear characteristics,and the variation ranges of ESCP are all between 0 and ***,a comprehensive ESCP mathematical model considering triple media,including matrix pores,fractures,and dissolved vugs,was *** is proved theoretically.that the ESCP of CFVR generally.varies between 0 and ***,the regression results showed that the power model ranked highest among the four empirical models mainly.applied in stress sensitivity.characterization,followed by.the logarithmic model,exponential model,and binomial *** concept of“permeability.decline rate”was introduced to better evaluate the stress sensitivity.performance for CFVR,in which the one-fracture rock is the strongest,followed by.the fracture-vug rock and two-horizontalfracture rock;the through-hole rock is the *** general,this study.provides a theoretical basis to guide the design of development and adjustment programs for carbonate fractured-vuggy.reservoirs.

Neuropeptide y.receptor y.(NPy.R)is a fish-specific receptor with two subty.es,NPy.AR and *** in expression levels during phy.iological processes or in vivo regulation after ventricular injection suggest that NPy.BR play. an important role in feeding regulation;this has been found in only.a few fish,at *** order to better understand the phy.iological function of npy.br,especially.in digestion,we used clustered regularly.interspaced short palindromic repeats(CRISPR)/CRISPR-associated protein 9(Cas9)technology.to generate npy.br-/-japanese medaka(Ory.ias latipes).We found that the deletion of npy.br in medaka larvae affected their feeding and digestion ability.ultimately.affecting their ***,npy.br deficiency.in medaka larvae resulted in decreased feed intake and decreased expression levels of orexigenic genes(npy.and agrp).npy.br-/-medaka larvae fed for 10 d(10th day.of feeding)still had incompletely.digested brine shrimp(Artemia nauplii)in the digestive tract 8 h after feeding,the messenger RNA(mRNA)expression levels of digestion-related genes(amy.lpl,ctra,and ctrb)were significantly.decreased,and the activity.of amy.ase,try.sin,and lipase also significantly.*** deletion of npy.br in medaka larvae inhibited the growth and significantly.decreased the expression of growth-related genes(gh and igf1).Hematoxy.in and eosin(H&E)sections of intestinal tissue showed that npy.br-/-medaka larvae had damaged intestine,thinned intestinal wall,and shortened intestinal *** far,this is the first npy.br gene knockout model established in fish and the first demonstration that npy.br play. an important role in digestion.

Background The priority.effect of plant arrival is a key.driver of community.assembly.and ecosy.tem succession during the restoration of degraded plant communities. However, the significance of the arrival order of different plant functional groups and their interactions with community.assemblies remains unclear. Using a phy.otron experiment with three fully.crossed factors, we investigated the underly.ng mechanisms of priority.effects and their relationships with the biomass and biodiversity.effects in mixed plant communities by.manipulating the order of arrival of species, isolation of roots, and removal of specific *** The results showed that the strength and direction of priority.effects were influenced by.arrival order, root interactions, asy.metric competition among species, and their interactions. The identities of early.and late-sown species also determined the magnitude of priority.effects. The priority.effects were stronger in grass-first(24.76%) and legume-first communities(24.48%) than in forb-first communities. The pot biomass of the different priority.treatments was highest in grass-first(5.85 g), followed by.legume-first(3.94 g) and forb-first(2.48 g). The order of arrival in the mixture significantly.affected the net biodiversity.effects(P y.dominance effects. The community.had lower overall biomass when forbs were sown first, whereas the species grown later had fewer costs with an increased overall net benefit for the resulting *** Our results emphasize that root interactions and asy.metric competition are vital determinants of order-specific priority.effects in community.assemblies. The interaction between metal and support is critical in oxy.en cataly.is as it governs the charge transfer between these two entities,influences the electronic structures of the supported metal,affects the adsorption energies of reaction intermediates,and ultimately.impacts the cataly.ic *** this study.we discovered a unique charge transfer reversal phenomenon in a metal/carbon nanohy.rid ***,electrons were transferred from the metal-based species to N-doped carbon,while the carbon support reciprocally.donated electrons to the metal domain upon the introduction of *** led to the exceptional electrocataly.ic performances of the resulting Ni-Fe/Mo_(2)C@nitrogen-doped carbon cataly.t,with a half-wave potential of 0.91 V towards oxy.en reduction reaction(ORR)and a low overpotential of 290 m V at 10 mA cm^(-2)towards oxy.en evolution reaction(OER)under alkaline ***,the Fe-Ni/Mo_(2)C@carbon heterojunction cataly.t demonstrated high specific capacity.794 mA h g_(Zn)~(-1))and excellent cy.ling stability.200 h)in a Zn-air *** calculations revealed that Mo_(2)C effectively.inhibited charge transfer from Fe to the support,while secondary.doping of Ni induced a charge transfer reversal,resulting in electron accumulation in the Fe-Ni alloy.*** local electronic structure modulation significantly.reduced energy.barriers in the oxy.en cataly.is process,enhancing the cataly.ic efficiency.of both ORR and ***,our findings underscore the potential of manipulating charge transfer reversal between the metal and support as a promising strategy.for developing highly.active and durable bi-functional oxy.en electrodes.

Sulforaphane, a naturally.specialized metabolite, play. significant roles in human disease prevention and plant defense. My.osinase(My. is a key.gene responsible for the cataly.is of sulforaphane formation, but the molecular mechanisms through which My.regulates sulforaphane biosy.thesis in plants remains largely.unknown. Here, we discovered that the change of sulforaphane content in broccoli sprouts caused by.exogenous selenite treatments is positively.related to BoMy.expression. BoMy.overexpression in the Arabidopsis thaliana tgg1 mutants could dramatically.increase my.osinase activity.and sulforaphane content in the rosette leaves of 35S::BoMy.tgg1 and rescue its ***, an obvious increase of my.osinase activity.and sulforaphane content was display.d in transgenic BoMy.overexpressed broccoli *** addition, a 2 033 bp promoter fragment of BoMy.was isolated. y.ast one-hy.rid(y.H) library.screening experiment uncovered that one bHLH transcription factor, BoFAMA, could directly.bind to BoMy.promoter to activate its expression, which was further evidenced by.y.H assay.and dual-luciferase reporter assay. BoFAMA is a selenite-responsive transcription factor that is highly.expressed in broccoli leaves;its protein is solely.localized to nucleus. Additionally. genetic evidence suggested that the knockdown of FAMA gene in Arabidopsis thaliana could significantly.decrease sulforaphane y.eld by.inhibiting the expression of my.osinase genes. Interestingly. exogenous selenite supply.could partially.restore the low level of sulforaphane content in transgenic Arabidopsis FAMA-silencing plants. Our findings uncover a novel function of FAMAMy.module in the regulation of selenite-mediated sulforaphane sy.thesis and provide a new insights into the molecular mechanism by.which selenite regulates the accumulation of sulforaphane in plants.
