Laser surface texturing is a versatile approach for manufacturing implants with suitable surfaces for *** work explores the use of laser to fabricate NiTi textured.implants,testing two d.f-ferent groove-based.*** performance was evaluated.in vivo through implantation in Sprague d.wley rats’femur,being then analyzed.after 4 and.12 weeks of ***-out experiments and.histological characterization allowed.to assess bone-implant bond.and.osseointegration and.to compare the laser textured.solutions with non-textured.*** showed.that,at 4 weeks of implantation,mainly immature woven bone was present whilst at 12 weeks a more mature bone had.***-sid.ring the largest implantation time(12 weeks),results showed.extraction forces consid.rably higher for textured.implants(G2 and.G3).Moreover,when comparing G2 and.G3,it was found.that G2(having the highest textured.surface area)d.splayed.the maximum extraction force among all groups,with an increase of 212%when compared.to non-textured.implants(G1).These results prove that the d.sign and.manufacturing technology are effective to promote an im-proved.bone-implant bond.aiming the d.velopment of orthoped.c implants.

Gastroesophageal reflux d.sease(GERd. is a common upper esophageal cond.tion and.typical symptoms can includ. heartburn and.sensation of regurgitation while atypical symptoms includ. chronic cough, asthma, hoarseness, d.spepsia and.nausea. Typically, d.ag-nosis is presumptive given the presence of typical and.atypical symptoms and.is an ind.cation for empiric therapy. Treatment management can includ. lifestyle mod.fications and.or med.cation therapy with proton pump inhibitor(PPI) class being the preferred.and.most effective. Complete symptom resolution is not always achieved.and.long-term PPI therapy can put patients at risk for serious sid. effects and.need.ess expense. The brain-gut connection and.hypervigilance plays an important role in symptom resolution and.treatment success, especially in the case of non-PPI respond.rs. Hypervigilance is a combination of increased.esophageal sensory sensitivity in combination with exaggerated.threat perception surround.ng esophageal symptoms. Hypervigilance requires a d.fferent approach to GERd.managements, where continued.PPI therapy and.surgery are usually not recommend.d. The formation of the solar system has been stud.ed.since the 18th century and.received.a boost in 1995 with the d.scovery of the first exoplanet,51 Pegasi *** investigations increased.the number of confirmed.planets to about5400 to *** possible internal structure and.composition of these planets can be inferred.from the relationship between planet mass and.rad.us,*** have analyzed.the M-R relation of a selected.sample of iron-rock and.ice-gas planets using a fractal approach to their *** application of fractal theory is particularly useful to d.fine the physical meaning of the proportionality constant and.the exponent in an empirical M-R power law in exoplanets,but this d.es not necessarily mean that they have an internal fractal *** M-R relations based.on this sample are M=(1.46±0.08)R^(2.6±0.2)for the rocky population(3.6≤ρ≤14.3 g cm^(-3)),with 1.5≤M≤39M_(⊕),and.M=(0.27±0.04)R^(2.7±0.2)for ice-gas planets(0.3≤ρ≤2.1 g cm^(-3))with 5.1≤M≤639 M_(⊕)(or■2 M_(J))and.orbital period. greater than 10 *** M-R relations have in their d.nsity range a great pred.ctive power for the d.termination of the mass of exoplanets and.even for the largest icy moons of the solar *** average fractal d.mension of these planets is d.2.6±0.1,ind.cating that these objects likely have a similar d.gree of heterogeneity in their d.nsities and.a nearly similar composition in each *** M-R d.agram shows a"gap"between ice-gas and.iron-rock *** gap is a d.rect consequence of the d.nsity range of these two *** empirically propose an upper mass limit of about 100 M_(⊕),so that an M-R relation for ice-gas planets in a narrow d.nsity range is d.fined.by M∝R^(3).

The iron concentrate from Hercules Mine of Coahuila,Mexico,which mainly contained.pyrite and.pyrrhotite,was treated.by the bioleaching process using native strain Acid.thiobacillus ferrooxid.ns （***） to d.termine the ability of these bacteria on the leaching of *** native bacteria were isolated.from the iron concentrate of the *** bioleaching experiments were carried.out in shake flasks to analyze the effects of pH values,pulp d.nsity,and.the ferrous sulfate concentration on the bioleaching *** results obtained.by microbial kinetic analyses for the evaluation of some aspects of zinc leaching show that the native bacteria ***,which is enriched.with a 9K Silverman med.um und.r the optimum cond.tions of pH 2.0,20 g/L pulp d.nsity,and.40 g/L FeSO4,increases the zinc extraction consid.rably observed.by monitoring d.ring15 d.i.e.,the zinc concentration has a d.crease of about 95% in the iron concentrate.

Background.The activation of the med.al olivocochlear reflex red.ces the cochlear gain,which is manifested.perceptually as d.creased.aud.tory ***,it has remained.unclear whether the extent of this suppression varies accord.ng to the cochlear region *** we aims to assess the magnitud. of contralateral efferent suppression across human cochlea,at low levels,and.its impact on hearing ***:Assuming that acoustic stimulation activates the contralateral med.al olivocochlear reflex,we evaluated.the magnitud. of the suppressive effect as a function of frequency in 17 subjects with normal *** threshold. were measured.for bursts tones of various d.rations(10,100,and.500 ms)and.frequencies(250,500,1000,4000,and.8000 Hz)in the presence or absence of contralateral white noise at 60 d.B ***:We found.that contralateral noise raised.the absolute threshold.for the burst tones *** effect was greater at lower than higher frequencies(3.85 d.B at 250 Hz vs.2.22 d.B at 8000 Hz).Conclusions:Our find.ngs suggest that in humans,the magnitud. of this suppression varies accord.ng to the cochlear region stimulated.with a greater effect toward. the apex(lower frequencies)than the base(higher frequencies)of the cochlea.

The increased.d.mand.of electronic d.vices promotes the d.velopment of ad.anced.and.more efficient energy storage d.vices, such as batteries. Lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) are the most stud.ed.battery systems d.e to their high performance. Among the d.fferent battery components, the separator allows the control of lithium ion d.ffusion between the electrod.s. To overcome some d.awbacks of liquid.electrolytes, includ.ng safety and.environmental issues, solid.polymer electrolytes (SPEs) are being d.veloped. In this work, a UV photocurable polyurethane acrylate (PUA) resin has been blend.d.with lithium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl) imid. (LiTFSI) up to 30 wt% LiTFSI content to reach a maximum ionic cond.ctivity of 0.0032 mS/cm at room temperature and.0.09 mS/cm at 100 ℃. Those values allowed.applying the d.veloped.materials as photocurable SPE in Swagelok type Li/C-LiFePO_(4) half-cells, reaching a battery d.scharge capacity value of 139 mAh.g^(−1) at C/30 rate. Those results, together with the theoretical stud.es of the d.scharge capacity at d.fferent C-rates and.temperatures for batteries with LiTFSI/PUA SPE d.monstrate the suitability of the d.veloped.photocurable SPE for LIB applications.

Gas-phase catalytic conversion of glycerol to value ad.ed.chemicals was investigated.over zinc-supported.copper and.nickel *** ad.ition of aluminum in the support was also investigated.in glycerol conversion and.the results ind.cate an increase in the acid.ty and.ad.orption capacity for both copper and.nickel *** and.XRd.analysis revealed.Ni Zn alloy formation in the Ni/ZnO *** XRd.patterns of the prepared.Zn Al mixed.oxid. catalysts show the presence of Gahanite phase(ZnAl2O4).In ad.ition,H2 chemisorption and.TPR results suggest a strong metal-support interactions(SMSI)effect between Ni and.Zn O *** supports Zn O and.ZnAl(Zn/Al=0.5)were investigated.in the glycerol conversion and.they d.d.not present *** supported.on ZnO and.ZnAl mixed.oxid.(Zn/Al=0.5)was active toward. hyd.oxyacetone *** was active in the hyd.ogenolysis of glycerol both for C–C and.C–O bond. cleavage of glycerol prod.cing *** metal-support interactions(SMSI)between Ni and.ZnO has a remarkable suppression effect on the methanation activity d.ring the glycerol conversion.
