Designing and developing distributed cyber-physical production systems(CPPS)is a time-consuming,complex,and error-prone *** systems are typically heterogeneous,i.e.,they consist of multiple components implemented with different languages and development *** of the main problems nowadays in CPPS implementation is enabling security mechanisms by design while reducing the complexity and increasing the system’s *** the IEC 61499 standard is an excellent approach to tackle these challenges by enabling the design,deployment,and management of CPPS in a model-based engineering *** propose a method for CPPS design based on the IEC 61499 *** method allows designers to embed a bio-inspired anomaly-based host intrusion detection system(A-HIDS)in Edge *** A-HIDS is based on the incremental Dendritic Cell Algorithm(iDCA)and can analyze OPC UA network data exchanged between the Edge devices and detect attacks that target the CPPS’Edge *** study’s findings have practical implications on the industrial security community by making novel contributions to the intrusion detection problem in CPPS considering immune-inspired solutions,and cost-effective security by design system *** to the experimental data,the proposed solution can dramatically reduce design and code complexity while improving application maintainability and successfully detecting network attacks without negatively impacting the performance of the CPPS Edge devices.

With the increase of aging population, we have been witnessing a decline in the quality of life influenced by numerous social, cultural and economic factors. Several studies have addressed these facts and some emerging technologies are capable of monitoring and anticipating these problems. With the advance in the development of smart textiles, it＇s possible to use these technologies in the acquisition of biosignals, which allows obtaining a better comfort regarding the use of smart clothes over traditional Ag/AgCI electrodes. In this way, it is possible to monitor for longer periods reducing the discomfort to the user. This paper reports the development of a low cost sensor with the capability of monitoring the electrical activity of the heart, measuring the heart rate and body temperature and is applied in the scenario： health ＆ wellbeing, targeting the continuous measurement of vital signs.

AIM To study the differences in immune response and cytokine profile between acute liver failure and selflimited acute *** Forty-six patients with self-limited acute hepatitis(AH), sixteen patients with acute liver failure(ALF), and twenty-two healthy subjects were involved in this study. The inflammatory and anti-inflammatory products in plasma samples were quantified using commercial enzyme-linked immunoassays and quantitative real-time PCR. The cellular immune responses were measured by proliferation assay using flow cytometry. The groups were divided into viral- and non-viral-induced selflimited AH and ALF. Thus, we worked with five groups: Hepatitis A virus(HAV)-induced self-limited acute hepatitis(HAV-AH), HAV-induced ALF(HAV-ALF), nonviral-induced self-limited acute hepatitis(non-viral AH), non-viral-induced acute liver failure(non-viral ALF), and healthy subjects(HC). Comparisons among HAV and non-viral-induced AH and ALF were *** The levels of mitochondrial DNA(mt DNA) and the cytokines investigated [interleukin(IL)-6, IL-8, IL-10, interferon gamma, and tumor necrosis factor] were significantly increased in ALF patients, independently of etiology(P < 0.05). High plasma mt DNA and IL-10 were the best markers associated with ALF [mt DNA: OR = 320.5(95%CI: 14.42-7123.33), P < 0.0001; and IL-10: OR = 18.8(95%CI: 1.38-257.94), P = 0.028] and death [mt DNA: OR = 12.1(95%CI: 2.57-57.07), P = 0.002; and IL-10: OR = 8.01(95%CI: 1.26-50.97), P = 0.027]. In the cellular proliferation assay, NK^(bright), NKT and regulatory T cells(TReg) predominated in virusspecific stimulation in HAV-induced ALF patients with an anergic behavior in the cellular response to mitotic stimulation. Therefore, in non-viral-induced ALF, anergic behavior of activated T cells was not observed after mitotic stimulation, as expected and as described by the literature. Viscum Album Modulates Apoptotic Related Genes in Melanoma Tumor of Mice

Cancer is a major public health problem throughout the world. It is estimated that one third of the American population will develop the disease at some time during their lifetimes. Among these, melanoma will account for 7% of the cases. In Brazil, in 2012, it is estimated that over six thousand new melanoma cases occurred. During recent years, the incidence of melanoma has increased, mainly due to a more constant exposure of the skin to sunlight. In this work, our aim is to assess the expression of apoptotis-related genes melanoma tumors in mice treated with Viscum album (VA). This will allow us to better understand the molecular mechanisms underlying tumor cell death activation caused by this compound. Our results clearly demonstrate upregulation of pro apoptotic genes (Trp53bp2, Nol3, Fadd, Tnfsf10, Traf1, Traf2, Cflar, Card10, Nod1, Casp 2, Casp7, Xiap, Dad1, and Dffb). Further bioinformatics-based tool analysis allowed us to assess which specific cell death-related intracellular pathways were activated by VA treatment. Two major effects of VA in melanoma cells could be observed: generation of an immunomudulatory Th-1 like action, recruiting several interleukines, and cell death activation through Caspase7, associated uspstream with Card10 and downstream with CAD. In summary, VA modulates apoptosis related genes in cancer melanoma cells. Although a deeper study should be conducted, VA seems to interfere with important signaling pathways within melanoma cells that control the cellular mechanisms of apoptosis activation. Therapeutic approaches using VA as an antineoplastic and adjuvant medication compounding should be considered.

The identification of jets originating from quarks and gluons,often referred to as quark/gluon tagging,plays an important role in various analyses performed at the Large Hadron Collider,as Standard Model measurements and searches for new particles decaying to quarks often rely on suppressing a large gluon-induced *** paper describes the measurement of the efficiencies of quark/gluon taggers developed within the ATLAS Collaboration,using √s=13 TeV proton–proton collision data with an integrated luminosity of 140 fb^(-1) collected by the ATLAS *** taggers with high performances in rejecting jets from gluon over jets from quarks are studied:one tagger is based on requirements on the number of inner-detector tracks associated with the jet,and the other combines several jet substructure observables using a boosted decision tree.A method is established to determine the quark/gluon fraction in data,by using quark/gluon-enriched subsamples defined by the jet *** in tagging efficiency between data and simulation are provided for jets with transverse momentum between 500 GeV and 2 TeV and for multiple tagger working points.
