Thermal transport in porous media has stimulated substantial interest in engineering sciences due to increasing applications in filtration systems,porous bearings,porous layer insulation,biomechanics,geomechanics *** by such applications,in this article,a numerical study of entropy generation impacts on the heat and momentum transfer in time-dependent laminar incompressible boundary layer flow of a Casson viscoplastic fluid over a uniformly heated vertical cylinder embedded in a porous medium is ***’s law is used to simulate bulk drag effects at low Reynolds number for an isotropic,homogenous porous *** line visualization is also *** mathematical model is derived and normalized using appropriate transformation *** resulting non-linear time-dependent coupled governing equations with associated boundary conditions are solved via an implicit finite difference method which is efficient and unconditionally *** outcomes show that entropy generation and Bejan number are both elevated with increasing values of Darcy number,Casson fluid parameter,group parameter and Grashof *** analyze the heat transfer process in a two-dimensional domain,plotting heat lines provides an excellent approach in addition to streamlines and *** is remarked that as the Darcy number increases,the deviations of heat lines from the hot wall are reduced.

Staghorn calculi are branched stones which occupy a majority portion of the pelvicaliceal *** untreated staghorn calculus over time can damage the kidney and deteriorate its function and/or cause life threatening *** stone clearance is an important goal in order to eradicate any infective focus,relieve obstruction,prevent recurrence and preserve the kidney *** nephrolithotomy(PCNL)is currently the accepted first-line treatment option for staghorn *** options available are single-tract PCNL with an auxiliary procedure like shockwave lithotripsy,single-tract PCNL with flexible nephroscopy,or multitract *** has its own pros and *** the ultimate goal of treatment for any patient with staghorn calculi should be safety,cost-effectiveness,and to achieve total stone *** this article,we review the management of staghorn calculi with multiple percutaneous(“multitract”)access,its advantages and disadvantages and its current position by studying the various published materials across the globe.

Non-alcoholic steatohepatitis(NASH),an advanced form of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD),has emerged as the leading cause of liver failure and related ***,no medication is specifically approved to treat NAFLD or *** we report that oral administration of honey vesiclelike nanoparticles(H-VLNs)to naturally aged mice protects the liver from NASH development.H-VLNs are dominantly taken up by Kupffer cells in the liver and suppress hepatic chronic inflammation and further development of fibrosis and nodule formation in aged *** their reported antiinflammasome function,H-VLNs are found to inhibit the transcriptional activities of C-JUN and nuclear factor-kappa B(NF-κB).MicroRNAs miR5119 and miR5108 and phenolic compound luteolin in H-VLNs are identified in suppressing both the C-JUN and NF-kB ***,oral intake of H-VLNs represents a promising new user-friendly modality to prevent the development of NASH.

Ivabradine in the treatment of systolic heart failure- A systematic review and meta-analysis

AIM To perform a systematic-review and meta-analysis to compare outcomes of ivabradine combined with betablocker to beta-blocker alone in heart failure with reduced ejection fraction(HFr EF).METHODS We searched PubM ed, Cochrane, EMBASE, CINAHL and Web of Science for trials comparing ivabradine + betablocker to beta-blocker alone in HFr EF. We performed a systematic-review and meta-analysis of published literature. Primary end-point was combined end point of cardiac death and hospitalization for heart *** Six studies with 17671 patients were included. Mean follow-up was 8.7 ± 7.9 mo. Combined end-point of heart failure readmission and cardiovascular death was better in ivabradine + beta-blocker group compared to beta-blocker alone(RR: 0.93, 95%CI: 0.79-1.09, P = 0.354). Mean difference(MD) in heart rate was higher in the ivabradine + beta-blocker group(MD: 6.14, 95%CI: 3.80-8.48, P < 0.001). There was no difference in all cause mortality(RR: 0.98, 95%CI: 0.89-1.07, P = 0.609), cardiovascular mortality(RR: 0.99, 95%CI: 0.86-1.15, P = 0.908) or heart failure hospitalization(RR: 0.87, 95%CI: 0.68-1.11, P = 0.271). CONCLUSION From the available clinical trials, ivabradine + betablocker resulted in a significantly greater reduction in HRcoupled with improvement in combined end-point of heart failure readmission and cardiovascular death but with no improvement in all cause or cardiovascular mortality. Given the limited evidence, further randomized controlled trials are essential before widespread clinical application of ivabradine + beta-blocker is advocated for HFrEF.

额外牙是较为常见的牙齿形成障碍．其发病形式多种多样：可单发或多发．可位于单侧或双侧．可能出现在双颌或仅限于单颌。上颌正中额外牙是指发生在上颌前部两中切牙之间的额外牙。本文介绍了一例12岁男孩因4颗上颌正中额外牙导致上颌中切牙异位阻生的多学科联合治疗。经临床及X线检查后．外科拔除4颗上颌正中额外牙同时暴露阻生的右侧上中切牙，术后两中切牙间间隙达14mm。随后．根据头影测量分析行正畸固定矫治：将中切牙牵引至耠平面高度后继续排齐．根据牙量调整切牙间间隙，通过复合树脂修复切牙间少量残余间隙。

Surface Modification of AH36 Steel Using ENi-P-nano TiO2 Composite Coatings Through ANN-Based Modelling and Prediction

This study aims to analyse and forecast the significance of input process parameters to obtain a better ENi-P-TiO_(2) coated surface using artificial neural networks(ANN).By varying the four process parameters with the Taguchi L9 design,fortyfive numbers of AH36 steel specimens are coated with ENi-P-TiO_(2) composites,and their microhardness values are *** ANN model was formulated using the input and output data obtained from the 45 *** optimal design was developed based on mean squared error(MSE)and R2 *** experimentally measured values were compared with their predicted values to determine the ANN model’s *** efficiency of the ANN model is evaluated with an R2 value of 0.959 and an MSE value of *** authors have concluded that the developed model is suitable for designing and predicting ENi-P-TiO_(2) composite coatings to avoid extensive experimentation with economic *** Electron Microscope(SEM)and X-ray diffraction analysis(XRD)are also utilised to compare the base metal and optimal coated surface.
