Timetabling problem is among the most difficult operational tasks and is an important step in raising industrial productivity,capability,and *** tasks are usually tackled using metaheuristics techniques that provide an intelligent way of suggesting solutions or *** intelligence techniques including Particle Swarm Optimization(PSO)have proved to be effective *** recent experiments showed that the PSO algorithm is reliable for timetabling in many applications such as educational and personnel timetabling,machine scheduling,***,having an optimal solution is extremely challenging but having a sub-optimal solution using heuristics or metaheuristics is *** research paper seeks the enhancement of the PSO algorithm for an efficient timetabling *** algorithm aims at generating a feasible timetable within a reasonable *** enhanced version is a hybrid dynamic adaptive PSO algorithm that is tested on a round-robin tournament known as ITC2021 which is dedicated to sports *** competition includes several soft and hard constraints to be satisfied in order to build a feasible or sub-optimal *** consists of three categories of complexities,namely early,test,and middle *** showed that the proposed dynamic adaptive PSO has obtained feasible timetables for almost all of the *** feasibility is measured by minimizing the violation of hard constraints to *** performance of the dynamic adaptive PSO is evaluated by the consumed computational time to produce a solution of feasible timetable,consistency,and *** dynamic adaptive PSO showed a robust and consistent performance in producing a diversity of timetables in a reasonable computational time.

Rapid GFAP and Iba1 expression changes in the female rat brain following spinal cord injury

Evidence suggests that rapid changes to supporting glia may predispose individuals with spinal cord injury(SCI) to such comorbidities. Here, we interrogated the expression of astrocyte-and microglial-specific markers glial fibrillary acidic protein(GFAP) and ionized calcium binding adaptor molecule 1(Iba1) in the rat brain in the first 24 hours following SCI. Female Sprague-Dawley rats underwent thoracic laminectomy;half of the rats received a mild contusion injury at the level of the T10 vertebral body(SCI group), the other half did not(Sham group). Twenty-four hours post-surgery the amygdala, periaqueductal grey, prefrontal cortex, hypothalamus, lateral thalamus, hippocampus(dorsal and ventral) in rats were collected. GFAP and Iba1 m RNA and protein levels were measured by real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction and Western blot. In SCI rats, GFAP m RNA and protein expression increased in the amygdala and hypothalamus. In contrast, gene and protein expression decreased in the thalamus and dorsal hippocampus. Interestingly, Iba1 transcripts and proteins were significantly diminished only in the dorsal and ventral hippocampus, where gene expression diminished. These findings demonstrate that as early as 24 hours post-SCI there are region-specific disruptions of GFAP and Iba1 transcript and protein levels in higher brain regions. All procedures were approved by the University of Technology Sydney Institutional Animal Care and Ethics Committee(UTS ACEC13-0069).

Experimental Study of a Solar Adsorption Refrigeration Unit, Factorial Analysis

An experimental study was performed on an adsorption refrigeration unit powered by a solar energy and equipped with three different types of activated carbon (1: Coconut, 2: Palm seeds 3: charcoal). In this Study design, factorial analysis and optimization of a prototype unit were described. The activated carbon coupled with methanol was used as an adsorbent-adsorbate pairs. Experimental tests were carried out on an adsorptive solar-powered refrigerator for the three pairs. The temperatures of the bed of each adsorber and the corresponding refrigerator temperature for both the adsorption and desorption cycles respectively were recorded and studied as a response. Then a factorial analysis was carried out considering the type of activated carbon and the times interval as factors. The results showed that coconut have the highest bed temperature during the day cycle with a mean of 77.5℃ and the lowest mean temperature during the night cycle with a mean of 12.9℃. In addition, it was found from the analysis that the coconut shell activated carbon has the highest coefficient of performance of 0.25.

In Silico Evaluation for the Inhibitory Action of Curcumin Derivatives on the SARS-CoV-2 Proteins

Purpose of the Study: COVID-19 is caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus that had a global pandemic spread in the last two years. Symptoms of the disease include respiratory distress and, in severe cases may consequently lead to death. Blocking the viral proteins can aid in treating this disease and alleviating its symptoms. Two target proteins of the coronavirus that are hot spots in drug discovery are the papain-like protease PL-pro and the main protease m-pro. PL-pro is an enzyme that is required for processing viral polyproteins to generate a functional replicase complex and enable viral spread. m-pro is the major protease of SARS-CoV-2, which is a keystone in viral replication and transcription. methods: In this study, we shed the light on the route of targeting viral proteins for disease alleviation, by targeting the two aforementioned enzymes, PL-pro and m-pro using in silico studies. Docking experiments, using AutoDock algorithms, were performed to predict the inhibitory effect of recently produced synthetic derivatives of curcumin on the viral proteins. Results: most of the curcumin derivatives have shown variable levels of inhibition, e.g., S1 - S6, mainly on the papain-like protease, and to a lesser extent on the main protease. Conclusion: The results indicated that curcumin derivatives can be potent anti-viral drug of SARS-CoV-2, namely targeting the papain-like protease.

Rare Primary Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma of a male Breast

Background: Breast lymphomas are typical extranodal types of lymphoma, also known as Extranodal-lymphoma (ENL), which occur extremely infrequently, aggregating into a very small proportion of malignant breast tumors. The rarity of breast lymphomas is attributed to the scant lymphoid tissue content of the chest wall. Aims of Study: This case report is aimed at providing an up-to-date review of the literature on breast lymphomas for clinicians to, therefore, consider the possibility of this disease entity while treating a breast mass. Case Presentation: A case was reported of a 52-year man with chief mammary non-Hodgkin breast ENL when fine-needle aspiration cytology (FNAC) was not leading to a firm conclusion or result. Following an incisional biopsy, he was found to have a primary breast lymphoma. Later, the patient was diagnosed with the diffuse large B-cell type of lymphoma also known as non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma (NHL). He had a complete reduction and disappearances of all the signs and symptoms of the disease after a course of neoadjuvant chemotherapy: Cyclophosphamide, Doxorubicin, Vincristine and Prednisolone (CHOP). CONCLUSION: Based on the above case presentation, it is vital for health care professionals and oncologists to recognize the disease by assessing the breast mass accurately with more entities so that proper diagnosis via core biopsy (incisional biopsy) can eliminate the PBL before further treatment is required.

Evaluation of Actual Evapotranspiration and Crop Coefficient in Carrot by Remote Sensing methodology Using Drainage and River Water to Overcome Reduced Water Availability

Searching for alternative methods for traditional irrigation is World trend at days due to a reduction in water and increased of drought due to climate changes therefore farmers need use modern methods of scheduling water and minimizing water losses while also increasing yield. To meet the future increasing demands water and food there is a need to utilize alternative methods to reduce evaporation, transpiration and deep percolation of water. Any countries use recycled water (drain and sewage) and desalination water from the sea or drains to irrigate crops plus computing actual crop evapotranspiration (ETc) so as to calculate the amount of water to apply to a crop. The paper aims to assess the actual evaporation and evaporation coefficient of carrots, by planting carrots in a field and the crop was exposed to several sources of water (DW and RW) and comparing ETc, Kc and production among plots of three sites (A, B and C). The study used two types of irrigation water (drain water (DW) and river water (RW)). The results were to monthly rate and accumulated actual evapotranspiration to C (irrigation by RW only) more than A (67% RW and 33% DW) and B (17% RW and 83% DW) via 7% and 58%, respectively. The yield to C more than A and B by 17% and 75%, respectively. In conclusion the use of DW can cause a reduction in crop consumptive of carrot crops also causes a reduction in yield, crop length, root length, root size, canopy of crop, number of leaves and biomass of the plant therefore, the drainage water needs to treated before irrigating crops And making use of it to irrigate the fields and fill the shortfall in the amount of water from the river. The drain water helped on filling the water shortage due to climate changes and giving production of carrot crop but less than river water.

Background: Adrenal and parathyroid insufficiency are uncommon in patients with transfusion dependent Beta Thalassemia (β-Tm). Further, myocardial echocardiographic abnormalities are recognized but with a variable outcomes Aim: The aim is to determine the prevalence of adrenal and parathyroid insufficiency in patient with transfusion dependent β-Tm. And to assess left ventricle systolic and diastolic function using Pulsed Doppler (PD) and Tissue Doppler (DT) echocardiogram. methods:The study was conducted on patients with β-Tm (n = 99, age 15.92 ± 8.92 years) and compared with an age-matched controls (n = 98 age 15.79 ± 8.94 years). In all participants echocardiographic indices of m mode and PD and TD were performed. Blood samples were withdrawn for measuring the serum cortisol, parathyroid and Ferritin. Correlation between the level of cortisol and ferritin level was evaluated. Results: Patients with β-Tm compared with controls, had significantly thicker LV septal wall index of 0.65 ± 0.26 vs 0.44 ± 0.2190, p 0.001 and LV posterior wall of 0.65 ± 0.235 vs 0.43 ± 0.214, p ± 5.5 vs 5.0 ± 5.6, p = 0.23. Furthermore patients with β-Tm had higher E/A ratio (1.54 ± 0.18 vs 1.23 ± 0.17, p 0.01) and shorter deceleration time (DT) (170.53 ± 13.3 vs 210.50 ± 19.20 m sec, p 0.01). The ratio of transmitral E wave velocity to the tissue Doppler E wave at the basal septal mitral annulus (E/Em) was significantly higher in β-Tm group (19.68 ± 2.81 vs 13.86 ± 1.41, p 0.05). The tissue Doppler systolic wave (Sm) velocity and the early diastolic wave (Em) were significantly lower in β-Tm group compared with controls with Sm, of 4.82 ± 1.2 vs 6.22 ± 2.1 cm/sec, p 0.05 and (Em) of 3.51 ± 2.7 vs 4.12 ± 2.5 cm/sec p 0.05, respectively). The tricuspid valve velocity was significantly higher in β-Tm patients compared with controls (2.85 ± 0.56 vs 1.743 ± 0.47 m/sec, respectively, p 0.01).
