In Egypt,Sofosbuvir(SOF)in combination with Dataclasvir(DCV)is the broadly used DAAs with excellent therapeutic *** study is designed to explore the relation between IL28B/TLR4 genetic variants and each of the followings;HCC development post SOF/DCV treatment,progression to HCC in naı¨ve patients and SOF/DCV therapy outcome.A total of 493 blood samples were collected(controls(n = 70);HCV patients treated with SOF/DCV(n = 252)of whom 65 patients developed HCC,187 patients didn’t develop HCC(125 responders,62 relapsers);naı¨ve HCV patients(n = 171)had early(n = 48),late liver fibrosis(n = 21)and HCC(n = 102)).Both SNPs were genotyped using a Taqman 50 allelic discrimination *** IL28B rs12979860 SNP,the C allele was significantly correlating with the response rate more than T allele(OR 1.9,95%CI 1.29e2.9,p=0.004),while at TLR4 rs4986791 SNP,no association was found(OR 6.5,95%0.57e75.28,p = 0.09).Both SNPs couldn’t detect the probability for HCC emergence after *** naı¨ve patients,the protective alleles were detected in their lowest frequency in HCC patients(p = 0.1,for rs12979860 and,p = 0.001 for rs4986791).SOF/DCV combination improved SVR rates in HCV genotype 4a infected patients regardless of IL28B genotype,with the best rates in those lacking the T allele.

Separation of rare earth dements by solvent extraction has actually been widely used in various fields from analytical chemistry to hydrometallurgy. A representative ore sample obtained from Kadabora Batholiths-Eastern Desert of Egypt, containing the multiple oxides rare earth minerals： Samarskite, Fergusonite, Betafite, and Pyrochlore, was subjected to sulfuric acid leaching. Different sets of equilibrium loading experiments were carded out on a bench scale for the extraction of rare earths （cerium and yttrium） from the sulfate leach liquor using 8,9-dihydro[1,2,4]triazolo[1,5-a]quinazolin-6（TH）-one {TQ} dissolved in methylene chloride. Stripping was carded out by 20% sodium hydroxide. A rare earth cake was produced by oxalic acid precipitation. Its purity reached 87.3%.

An optically enabled z-axis micro-disk inertia sensor is presented, which consists of a disk-shaped proof mass integrated on top of an optical waveguide. Numerical simulations show that the optical power of laser beam propagating in a narrow silicon nitride （Si3N4） waveguide located under the disk is attenuated in response to the vertical movement of the micro-disk. The high leakage power of the Tm mode can effectively be used to detect a dynamic range of 1 g - 10g （g=9.8 rn/s ）. At lest, the waveguide is kept at a nominal gap of 1 μm from the proof mass. It is adiabatically tapered to a narrow dimension of W×H = 350×220nm2 in a region where the optical mode is intended to interact with the proof mass. Furthermore, the bottom cladding is completely etched away to suspend the waveguide and improve the optical interaction with the proof mass. The proposed optical inertia sensor has a high sensitivity of 3 dB/g when a 50μm-long waveguide is used （normalized sensitivity 0.5 dB/μm2） for the vertical movement detection.

BACKGROUND Disorders of consciousness including coma in non-trauma patients can be caused by a wide variety of pathologies affecting the central nervous *** represent a frequent challenge in emergency medicine and are combined with a very high in-hospital ***,early treatment of these patients is vital and increases the likelihood of a good *** To identify the causes of altered consciousness presentation to the Emergency Department at Suez Canal University *** This was a descriptive cross-sectional study conducted on 87 patients with acute non-traumatic disturbed level of consciousness(DLOC)at the Emergency *** The mean age of the studied patients was 60.5±13.6 *** them,60%were males and 40%were *** most common cause of acute non-traumatic DLOC was systemic infection,such as sepsis and septic shock(25.3%),followed by respiratory causes(24.1%)and neurological causes(18.4%).CONCLUSION The most common cause of acute non-traumatic DLOC was systemic infections followed by respiratory and neurological causes.

The aim of this study was to test the antimicrobial properties of dental cements modified with magnesium oxide(mgO)***-modified mgO nanoparticles(zmgO)in concentrations(0.0,0.3,0.5,and 1.0%)were mixed with dental cements(Fuji II,Rely X Temp E,Ionoglass Cem,Es Temp NE,and System P link).Eight discs were fabricated from each zmgO-cement pair for a total of 32 specimens for each *** of the dental cements incorporating zmgO was done by X-ray Diffraction(XRD)and Field Emission Scanning Electron microscopy(FESEm).The antimicrobial properties of the mixtures were tested using direct contact and agar diffusion assays against Streptococcus mutans,Staphylococcus aureus,Enterococcus faecalis,and Candida *** was analyzed using two-way analysis of variance and LSD post hoc test at 0.05 significance *** spectra showed sharp peaks of zmgO indicating its high crystalline nature,while the amorphous dental cements with zmgO had broad *** analysis showed a uniform distribution of the zmgO nanoparticles in the *** were significant inhibition zone values associated with all concentrations of zmgO-cement mixtures tested compared to controls(pmgO groups compared to controls for all *** effect was most prominent with Rely X against *** and *** cements containing zmgO showed significant antimicrobial properties that were dependent on the specific initial cement substrate.
