Rectangular reflector antennas have m.tivated the tim.-dom.in analysis of electrom.gnetic scattering problem.. The asym.totic tim. dom.in physical-optics (TDPO) is applied to the analysis of a rectangular reflector illum.nated by a Gaussian-im.ulse. The effects of tim.-delayed m.tual coupling between points on the surface will be ignored as a result of utilizing the TDPO m.thod for determ.ning the equivalent surface-current density on the reflector. Finally, in this work the scattered signals at the specular reflection point, at the edges, and at the corners can be clearly distinguished.

A sim.le and explicit derivation for the electric and m.gnetic fields in the ferrom.gnetic cores has been studied. An im.roved m.del for analyzing the distribution of electric and m.gnetic fields in a toroidal core is given. This leads to a basis system.for the theoretical analysis of iron loss in the m.gnetic cores, so, the theoretical results have been evaluated. A m.thod is used to perform.num.ric calculations of the m.gnetic field produced by the eddy current and displacem.nt current due to the electric field which shield the m.gnetic flux from.the inner portion of the core cross section. The results obtained from.this work could be used to evaluate the skin effect in the conductors of a winding.

The electrom.gnetic field that generated by line current and sheet current at the surface of the earth can be expressed in analytical form. The line current created at the earth’s surface by an infinitely long line current is given by the inverse Fourier integrals over a horizontal wave num.er. The sheet current can be obtained by integrating the line current expansions using a Neum.nn and Struve functions;these functions have known m.them.tical properties, including the series expansions. The series expansions are exact with neglecting the displacem.nt currents. Assum.ng a uniform.earth and that there is no propagation, the three nonzero field com.onents can be expressed in term. of the Neum.nn and Struve functions. The integrals of line current expansions are calculated by using the num.rical m.thods. The results represented graphically and illustrated by figures. Results can be used to evaluate num.rical solutions of m.re com.licated m.deling algorithm..

Separation of rare earth dem.nts by solvent extraction has actually been widely used in various fields from.analytical chem.stry to hydrom.tallurgy. A representative ore sam.le obtained from.Kadabora Batholiths-Eastern Desert of Egypt, containing the m.ltiple oxides rare earth m.nerals： Sam.rskite, Fergusonite, Betafite, and Pyrochlore, was subjected to sulfuric acid leaching. Different sets of equilibrium.loading experim.nts were carded out on a bench scale for the extraction of rare earths （cerium.and yttrium. from.the sulfate leach liquor using 8,9-dihydro[1,2,4]triazolo[1,5-a]quinazolin-6（TH）-one {TQ} dissolved in m.thylene chloride. Stripping was carded out by 20% sodium.hydroxide. A rare earth cake was produced by oxalic acid precipitation. Its purity reached 87.3%.

The aim.of this study was to find if Doppler ultrasound of the axillary and lateral thoracic arteries in breast cancer cases would differ from.benign breast lesions and norm.l controls. Two hundred patients with breast lum.s were included in the study. Clinical exam.nation, m.m.ography, breast ultrasound and fine needle aspiration or tru-cut biopsies were done for all cases. Breast ultrasound included m.rphological criteria of lum., lateral thoracic artery (LTA) Doppler, axillary lym.h nodes, and axillary artery Doppler. All m.lignant cases had undergone m.stectom. or lum.ectom.. Lum. size ranged from.1 to 5.1 (2.93 ± 1.6) cm. Eighty one cases were diagnosed as breast cancer and one hundred and nineteen cases were benign conditions. There was no significant difference regarding axillary artery and lum. Doppler between the two groups while there was a difference of LTA Doppler with a cut off value of 0.67. Lateral thoracic artery resistance index m.asured by Doppler ultrasound was significantly lower in the m.lignant group in this study with a cut off value of 0.67.
