Obje.tive.: To e.aluate.the.role.of Dopple. ultrasound in pre.iction and follow up during manage.e.t of ge.tational trophoblastic ne.plasia (GTN). Me.hods: The.study was pe.forme. at Oncology Unit, Mate.nity Hospital, Ain Shams Unive.sity in the.pe.iod from Nove.be. 2015 to De.e.be. 2018. Forty case. of comple.e.mole. afte. e.acuation and follow up of se.um human chorionic gonodotrophin (β-hCG) titre.until it re.che. ze.o le.e. (group I) and forty post molar GTN case. (group II) we.e.include. in the.study. Dopple. ultrasound of the.sube.dome.rial and intramural blood flow was done.for all case. of group I and II. Dopple. include. two dime.sional and thre. dime.sional powe. Dopple. indice.. Group II re.e.ve. Me.hotre.ate.(MTX) and folinic acid in a dose.of 8-day MTX-FA re.ime.. Dopple. follow up for six months of group II concurre.tly with the.che.othe.apy re.ime. was done. Re.ults: A statistically significant diffe.e.ce.was found be.we.n group I and II re.arding initial re.dings of all Dopple. parame.e.s. Follow up for 6 months of GTN case. re.e.le. progre.sive.statistically significant de.re.se.of intramural and sube.dome.rial thre. dime.sional powe. Dopple. (3DPD) indice., while.the.e.was a significant incre.se.in two dime.sional (2D) Dopple. parame.e.s. Four case. we.e.re.istant to Me.hotre.ate.che.othe.apy. Cut off value. we.e.de.e.mine. for pre.iction of GTN. Multivariate.analysis re.e.le. that the.most pre.ictive.parame.e. was the.sube.dome.rial pulsatility inde. (PI), odds ratio = 10.63 (95% CI: 1.30 - 86.89). The.cut-off point for sub-e.dome.rial PI was: 2.05 (AUC, 90%;se.sitivity, 88%;spe.ificity, 76%, PPV 78%, and NPV 86%) with a diagnostic accuracy of 87%. To and Fro sign may be.conside.e. a pathognomonic intramural ultrasound sign for pre.iction of GTN che.o-re.istance.or choriocarcinoma. Conclusion: Cut off value. for Dopple. parame.e.s can be.use. for e.rly pre.ication of GTN. Dopple. ultrasound indice. can be.use. during follow up of GTN case. concurr

AIM:To de.e.op and te.t an Arabic ve.sion of the.National e.e.Institute.Visual Function Que.tionnaire.25(Ne.-VFQ-25).Me.HODS:Ne.-VFQ-25 was translate. into Arabic according to WHO translation guide.ine.. We.e.rolle. adult conse.ting patie.ts with bilate.al chronic e.e.dise.se. who pre.e.te. to 14 hospitals across e.ypt from Octobe. to De.e.be. 2012, and docume.te. the.r clinical findings. Psychome.ric prope.tie. we.e.the. te.te. using ***:We.re.ruite. 379 patie.ts, whose.me.n age.was(54.5±15)y. Of 46.2% we.e.male., 227 had cataract,31 had glaucoma, 23 had re.inal de.achme.t, 37 had diabe.ic re.inopathy, and 61 had misce.lane.us visual de.e.ts. Non-re.ponse.rate.and the.floor and ce.ling numbe.s of the.Arabic ve.sion(ARB-VFQ-25) we.e.calculate.. Inte.nal consiste.cy was high in all subscale.(e.ce.t ge.e.al he.lth), with Cronbach-α ranging from0.702-0.911. Te.t-re.e.t re.iability was high(intraclass corre.ation coe.ficie.t 0.79).CONCLUSION:RB-VFQ-25 isare.iable.ndvalidtool for asse.sing visual functions of Arabic spe.king patie.ts. Howe.e., some.que.tions had high non-re.ponse.rate. and should be.substitute. by available.alte.native.. Our re.ults support the.importance.of including se.f-re.orte. visual functions as part of routine.ophthalmologic e.amination.

Background: Syste.ic inflammation due.to radiation e.posure.has be.n ide.tifie. in a biological syste. by ce.tain me.abolic and be.avioral disorde.s. The.e.anarchie. mostly me.iate. unde. a re.ulation of cyclooxyge.ase.2 (COX2) induce. production of an inflammatory me.iator prostaglandin e. (PGe.). Aim: This study was unde.take. to inve.tigate.the.anti-inflammatory impact of brown se. we.d e.tract (BSWe. against induction of COX2/PGe. inflammatory pathway in gamma-irradiate. rats. Rats we.e.orally administrate. with BSWe.(27 mg/kg body we.ght/day) for 7 conse.utive.days be.ore.e.posure.to 8 Gy fractionate. gamma radiation (2 Gy × 4;e.e.y 3 days). Tre.tme.t with BSWe.was e.te.de. along with and in-be.we.n irradiation dose. for anothe. 14 succe.sive.days. Our data de.onstrate. that the.administration of BSWe.to rats e.pose. to gamma radiation, following the.re.ime. sugge.te., significantly ne.tralize.the.change. induce. in the.inflammatory mole.ule. COX2, PGe., tumor ne.rosis alpha (TNF-α), and nitric oxide.(NO). In addition, it adjuste. significantly the.ce.lular re.ox tone.via re.ulation of change. induce. in malondialde.yde.(MDA) re.uce. glutathione.(GSH), supe.oxide.dismutase.(SOD) catalase.(CAT) and xanthine.oxidore.uctase.syste. BACKGROUND Pancre.tic cystic le.ions(PCLs) are.common in clinical practice. The.accurate.classification and diagnosis of the.e.le.ions are.crucial to avoid unne.e.sary tre.tme.t of be.ign le.ions and misse. opportunitie. for e.rly tre.tme.t of pote.tially malignant *** To e.aluate.the.role.of cyst fluid analysis of diffe.e.t tumor marke.s such as cance. antige.s [e.g., cance. antige.(CA)19-9, CA72-4], carcinoe.bryonic antige.(Ce.), se.ine.prote.se.inhibitor Kazal-type.1(SPINK1), inte.le.kin 1 be.a(IL1-β), vascular e.dothe.ial growth factor A(Ve.F-A), and prostaglandin e.(PGe.)], amylase. and mucin stain in diagnosing pancre.tic cysts and diffe.e.tiating malignant from be.ign *** This study include. 76 patie.ts diagnose. with PCLs using diffe.e.t imaging modalitie.. All patie.ts unde.we.t e.doscopic ultrasound(e.S) and e.S-fine.ne.dle.aspiration(e.S-FNA) for characte.ization and sampling of diffe.e.t *** The.me.n age.of studie. patie.ts was 47.4 ± 11.4 ye.rs, with a slight fe.ale.pre.ominance.59.2%). Mucin stain showe. high statistical significance.in pre.icting malignancy with a se.sitivity of 87.1% and spe.ificity of 95.56%. It also showe. a positive.pre.ictive.value.and ne.ative.pre.ictive.value.of 93.1% and 91.49%, re.pe.tive.y(P e.found that positive.mucin stain, cyst fluid glucose. SPINK1, amylase. and Ce. le.e.s had high statistical significance.P e.F-A, Ve.FR2, and PGe. did not show any statistical significance. Univariate.re.re.sion analysis for pre.iction of malignancy in PCLs showe. a statistically significant positive.corre.ation with mural nodule., lymph node., cyst diame.e., mucin stain, and cyst fluid Ce.. Obje.tive.: To asse.s the.impact of he.rt failure.dise.se. on stroke.se.e.ity and short te.m (1 month mortality). Mate.ials and Me.hods: Totally, 200 patie.ts admitte. to Ain Shams unive.sity spe.ialize. hospital, we.e.diagnose. clinically to have.acute.ische.ic stroke.within 3 days. History taking about pre.ious he.rt dise.se.was take., and full ge.e.al and ne.rological e.aminations we.e.done. Full me.abolic profile. cardiac e.amination and inve.tigations we.e.done. Carotid duple., MRI stroke.protocol and lastly clinical re.valuation using NIH Stroke.Scale.(NIHSS) afte. 1 month from stroke.onse. we.e.done. Re.ults: Patie.ts with systolic dysfunction (e. ≤ 40%) had lacunar infarction in 18.75% of case., partial ante.ior circulation infarction in 62.5% of case., poste.ior circulation infarction in 6.25% of case. and total ante.ior circulation infarction in 12.5% of case.. Le.coaraiosis was pre.e.t in 87% of case. and significant intracranial ve.se. ste.osis was showe. in 87.5% who had done.MRI. The.r me.ian NIHSS score.at admission was 10.5 with IQR of 5 - 21 and at follow-up it was 5 with IQR of 2.5 - 10.5. At follow-up 22.7% (5 patie.ts) we.e.de.d. Conclusion: Systolic dysfunction (e. e. he.rt failure.has no significant e.fe.t on stroke.se.e.ity and 1 month follow up prognosis.
