Copolymer f.lms of.Acrylic acid/ Methyl methacrylate AAc/MMA with comonomer composition of.60/40 was prepared and then irradiated by gamma irradiation. The ef.ect of.irradiation on some of.the physical properties of.the copolymer f.lms was investigated. The dose level ranged f.om 5 to 200 kGy. The thermo gravimetric analysis (TGA) showed that the thermal stability of.the f.lms increased with irradiation dose up to 100 kGy then it started to decrease. The results of.the UV-Visible spectroscopy of.the f.lms showed a decrease in the values of.optical band gap and band tail width with doses starting f.om 100 kGy. The DC conductivity (?DC) of.the f.lms was f.und to decrease to about three orders of.magnitude f.om its original value with irradiation dose up to 100 kGy then it started to increase with higher doses. Moreover, the dielectric constant and dielectric loss values were f.und to increase with dose up to 100 kGy which may be attributed to the increase in the number of.dipoles in the f.lms due to the irradiation of.the copolymer f.lms in air. The results indicated that crosslinking dominated over chain scission in the copolymer f.lms with irradiation dose up to 100 kGy then at higher doses, chain scission dominated.

The ecological risk assessment f.r Al,Zn,Cu,Ni,V,Pb,Cd,and Hg in surf.ce sediment collected f.om the Egyptian Red Sea coast was evaluated using the Geo-accumulation Index(Igeo).Sediment Enrichment f.ctor（SEf. and Potential Ecological Risk Index（PERI） *** predominant heavy metal,aluminum,showed high concentrations along both of.Aqaba Gulf.4378.8 ± 2554.1 μg/g） and southern part of.the Red Sea（2972.8 + 1527.5 μg/g）.while it recorded the lowest concentration in Suez Gulf.829.7 ± 398.2 μg/g）.The determined heavy metal concentrations had the order of.Al > Zn >-Ni > V > Pb > Cu > Cd > *** statistical analyses showed some correlations among the heavy metals *** international sediment quality guidelines were used to estimate the quality of.the collected ***,the recorded average heavy metals concentrations were lower than those of.the permissible contents f.r sediment quality *** Geo-accumulation index calculations(Igeo) proved that the investigated region could be classif.ed as an unpolluted *** Enrichment f.ctor(KSEf. study showed high values in Suez Gulf.*** single pollution index analysis of.heavy metals in the sediments（Ci_f. indicated that Al,Zn,V,and Pb were of.natural origin,while Ni,Cd and Hg were seriously af.ected by human ***,amongst,all the determined heavy metals,Cd and Hg gave moderate ecological risk indicators.

Cancelable biometrics are required in most remote access applications that need an authentication stage such as the cloud and Internet of.Things(IoT)*** objective of.using cancelable biometrics is to save the original ones f.om hacking attempts.A generalized algorithm to generate cancelable templates that is applicable on both single and multiple biometrics is proposed in this paper to be considered f.r cloud and IoT *** original biometric is blurred with two co-prime ***,it can be recovered as the Greatest Common Divisor(GCD)between its two blurred *** changes if.induced in the biometric image prior to processing with co-prime operators prevents the recovery of.the original biometric image through a GCD ***,the ability to change cancelable templates is guaranteed,since the owner of.the biometric can pre-determine and manage the minimal change induced in the biometric ***,we test the utility of.the proposed algorithm in the single-and multi-biometric *** multi-biometric scenario depends on compressing f.ce,f.ngerprint,iris,and palm print images,simultaneously,to generate the cancelable *** metrics such as Equal Error Rate(EER)and Area and Receiver Operator Characteristic curve(AROC)are *** results on single-and multi-biometric scenarios show high AROC values up to 99.59%,and low EER values down to 0.04%.

Objective: To compare the dif.erences in intake and excretion between Musca domestica and other three species f.om f.milies Muscidae and Calliphoridae which may help explaining the signif.cance of.house f.y in the transmission of.***: The f.ur adult species were supplied with two concentrations of.sucrose via modif.ed capillary f.eder assay system. The two sucrose concentrations were applied to one adult male/each experiment and the elimination spots were counted. Using 0.25 mol/L sucrose + 0.25% bromophenol blue, one active non-starved male/cup was observed caref.lly f.r 1 h to record its behavior. As a growing medium used in bacterial transmission experiments, undiluted trypticase soy broth was used to f.ed 3-day-old f.males and males of.Musca domestica f.llowing two dif.erent diets upon emergence and the f.equency of.elimination spots was ***: The two Musca species have half.the weight of.the two Phormia *** the volume of.intake per hour, house f.y took as much as the other species, all of.which were larger. House f.y produced twice, or more, the number of.elimination spots/h than the other three species. f.eding the f.ies a sugar liquid diet resulted in producing more f.cal spots than regurgitation spots. The male house f.ies produced less elimination spots/h when f.d with trypticase soy broth than with the two sucrose ***: House f.ies eliminated more than the other examined f.y species and most of.these elimination events were def.cation which implicates the f.cal route f.r pathogen transmission by this important vector.

AIM:To evaluate the retinal saf.ty of.various doses of.intravitreal triamcinolone acetonide(TA)in ***:Thirty New Zealand albino rabbits were divided into f.ve groups(six animals each).In group 1(control group),each animal received a single intravitreal injection of.0.1 mL phosphate buf.ered *** groups2,3,4 and 5,each rabbit received a single intravitreal injection of.4,8,16 and 32mg of.TA,*** dose was contained in 0.1 mL phosphate buf.ered *** ocular examinations were perf.rmed bef.re the injection and on the 1st,3rd,10th and 17th postinjection days.A standard dark adapted electroretinogram(ERG)was obtained bef.re injection and on the 3rd,10th and 17th post-injection ***17d,animals were sacrif.ced and their eyes prepared f.r pathological ***:By monitoring ERG as a f.nctional index f.r the retina,intravitreal injection of.4mg TA showed no signif.cant ERG *** doses of.8,16 and 32,hyper-abnormal responses in a-and b-waves of.ERG were detected on the 3rd post-injection *** changes gradually returned back to normal limits *** examination of.the retina of.all animals showed no pathological ***:High doses of.intravitreal TA seemed to have enhancing ef.ects on the retinal f.nction with gradual return to normal limits with no pathological changes detected in examined eyes.

Spinal cord injury remains a major cause of.disability in young adults,and beyond acute decompression and rehabilitation,there are no pharmacological treatments to limit the progression of.injury and optimize recovery in this *** the thorough investigation of.the complement system in triggering and propagating cerebral neuroinf.ammation,a similar role f.r complement in spinal neuroinf.ammation is a f.cus of.ongoing *** this work,we survey the current literature investigating the role of.complement in spinal cord injury including the sources of.complement proteins,triggers of.complement activation,and role of.ef.ector f.nctions in the *** study relevant data demonstrating the dif.erent triggers of.complement activation af.er spinal cord injury including direct binding to cellular debris,and or activation via antibody binding to damage-associated molecular *** ef.ector f.nctions of.complement have been implicated in spinal cord injury,and we critically evaluate recent studies on the dual role of.complement anaphylatoxins in spinal cord injury while emphasizing the lack of.pathophysiological understanding of.the role of.opsonins in spinal cord *** this pathophysiological review,we systematically review the dif.erent translational approaches used in preclinical models of.spinal cord injury and discuss the challenges f.r f.ture translation into human *** review emphasizes the need f.r f.ture studies to dissect the roles of.dif.erent complement pathways in the pathology of.spinal cord injury,to evaluate the phases of.involvement of.opsonins and anaphylatoxins,and to study the role of.complement in white matter degeneration and regeneration using translational strategies to supplement genetic models.

Separation of.rare earth dements by solvent extraction has actually been widely used in various f.elds f.om analytical chemistry to hydrometallurgy. A representative ore sample obtained f.om Kadabora Batholiths-Eastern Desert of.Egypt, containing the multiple oxides rare earth minerals： Samarskite, f.rgusonite, Betaf.te, and Pyrochlore, was subjected to sulf.ric acid leaching. Dif.erent sets of.equilibrium loading experiments were carded out on a bench scale f.r the extraction of.rare earths （cerium and yttrium） f.om the sulf.te leach liquor using 8,9-dihydro[1,2,4]triazolo[1,5-a]quinazolin-6（TH）-one {TQ} dissolved in methylene chloride. Stripping was carded out by 20% sodium hydroxide. A rare earth cake was produced by oxalic acid precipitation. Its purity reached 87.3%.

Corona Virus Disease-2019(COVID-19)continues to spread rapidly in the *** has dramatically af.ected daily lives,public health,and the world *** paper presents a segmentation and classif.cation f.amework of.COVID-19 images based on deep ***,the classif.cation process is employed to discriminate between COVID-19,non-COVID,and pneumonia by Convolutional Neural Network(CNN).Then,the segmentation process is applied f.r COVID-19 and pneumonia CT ***,the resulting segmented images are used to identif. the inf.cted region,whether COVID-19 or *** proposed CNN consists of.f.ur Convolutional(Conv)layers,f.ur batch normalization layers,and f.ur Rectif.ed Linear Units(RelUs).The sizes of.Conv layer used f.lters are 8,16,32,and *** maxpooling layers are employed with a stride of.2 and a 2×2 *** classif.cation layer comprises a f.lly-Connected(f.)layer and a sof.-max activation f.nction used to take the classif.cation decision.A novel saliencybased region detection algorithm and an active contour segmentation strategy are applied to segment COVID-19 and pneumonia CT *** acquired f.ndings substantiate the ef.icacy of.the proposed f.amework f.r helping the specialists in automated diagnosis applications.
