Upcoming technologies in the fields of flexible electronics require the cost-efficient fabrication of complex circuitry in a streamlined *** printing techniques such as inkjet printing can enable such applications thanks to their inherent freedom of design permitting the mask-free deposition of multilayer optoelectronic devices without the need for subtracting *** we present an active matrix sensor array comprised of 100 inkjet-printed organic thin film transistors(OTFTs)and organic photodiodes(OPDs)monolithically integrated onto the same ultrathin *** the OTFTs and OPDs exhibited high-fabrication yield and state-of-the-art performance after the integration *** scaling of the OPDs,we achieved integrated pixels with power consumptions down to 50 nW at one of the highest sensitivities reported to date for an all-organic integrated ***,we demonstrated the application potential of the active matrix by static and dynamic spatial sensing of optical signals.

AIM： To assess if the included vascular endothelial growth factor （VEGF） polymorphisms rs3025035, rs3025021 and rs2010963 are associated to proliferative retinopathy in a Mexican population with type 2 diabetes mellitus （T2DM）. METHODS： A case-control study was conducted in adult individuals with T2DM associated to proliferative retinopathy or non-proliferative retinopathy from Oct. 2014 to Jun. 2015 from the Retina Department of the Asociation to Prevent Blindness in Mexico. The selected patients were adults with a diagnosis of T2DM ≥5y. All subjects had a comprehensive ocular examination and the classification of the retinopathy severity was made considering the Early Treatment Diabetic Retinopathy Study （ETDRS） standardization protocols. Genomic DNA was extracted from whole fresh blood. All samples were genotyped by qPcR for selected VEGF polymorphisms. Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium was calculated by comparing chi-square values between the expected and the observed values for genotype ***： In total 142 individuals were enrolled, 71 individuals with T2DM and associated proliferative retinopathy and 71 individuals with non-proliferative retinopathy. One-sided Fisher’s exact test was performed for rs3025021 [OR （95% cI）=0.44（0.08-2.2）; P=0.25] and rs2010963 [OR （95% cI）=0.63（0.25-1.6）; P=0.23]. The minor allelic frequencies obtained were 26% for rs3025021, 10% for rs3025035 and 61% for rs2010963. The pairwise linkage disequilibrium between the three SNP was assessed, and was as follows： rs3025021 vs rs3025035： D’=1.0, r2=0.1043, P≤0.0001; rs3025021 vs rs2010963： D’=0.442, r2=0.0446, P=0.149; rs3025035 vs rs2010963： D’=0.505, r2=0.0214, P=***： This is the first analysis involving VEGF polymorphisms and proliferative diabetic retinopathy in a Mexican population. This work aims to determine the phytochemical characterization of the pericarp of chamaedorea radicalis *** as a non-timber product with potential to obtain phytochemicals with potential applications in the *** from *** were grouped in four ripening stages named as S1,S2,S3 and S4,according to maturity;S1 the most unripe stage and S4 the completely ripe *** of total phenolic compounds,free radical scavenging activities and total flavonoid contents using spectrophotometric methods were ***,the tentative identification of phytochemicals during fruit ripening was done using *** phenolic compound(TPc)content ranged from 7.24 to 12.53 mg gallic acid equivalents per gram of fresh weight(mg GAE/g FW).Total flavonoids(TF)contents ranged from 0.163 to 0.23 mg of quercetin equivalents per g FW(mg QE/g FW).Free radical scavenging activity against DPPH and ABTS radicals varied from 40.80 to 53.68 and from 22.29 to 37.76 mmol Trolox equivalents g FW(mmol TE/g FW),*** assay in vitro by FRAP(ferric reducing antioxidant power)method showed that S3 was the highest level with antioxidant power while S4 was the lowest with Red ripeness stage showed the lowest contents for all *** spectrometry allowed detection of 26 compounds,including phenolics,alkaloids and ***,Kaempferol 3-neohesperidoside and the four saponins identified were present in all ripeness *** phytochemical identification and the spectrophotometric determinations showed that the pericarp of *** presented antioxidants and compounds related to alkaloids,phenolics and *** presence and abundance of each phytochemical regarding each ripeness stage should be considered.

The ultrasonic transducer industry is dominated by piezoelectric *** an emerging alternative,capacitive micromachined ultrasound transducers(cMUTs)offer wider bandwidth,better integration with electronics,and ease of fabricating large *** have a sealed cavity between a fixed electrode and a suspended metalized *** cost and sensitivity are limiting factors in current cMUTs that depend on the fabrication equipment and,especially,on the materials *** widespread use of cMUTs,a much lower fabrication cost that uses inexpensive materials,which maintain or improve upon existing sensitivity,is ***,a new fabrication process is described for polymer-based cMUTs(polycMUTs)using the photopolymer SU-8 and *** first ultrasound B-mode image of a wire phantom created with a 64-element linear array using synthetic aperture beamforming techniques is presented.A 12 VAc signal superimposed on a 10 VDc signal was used on the transmission side,and only a bias-tee,with no amplifiers,was used on the receiving *** low operational voltage and high sensitivity of this device can be partially attributed to a pre-biasing condition on the *** using a novel sacrificial layer combined with a top electrode embedded inside the membrane,we demonstrated that SU-8 can be used to manufacture cMUTs ***,the fabrication used relatively simple equipment,and the number of fabrication steps was reduced compared to traditional cMUT *** new fabrication process has the potential to increase the use of cMUTs in the ultrasound market,including the market for wearable transducers.

Insular marine biotas are often richer in faunal diversity than those from the open sea in the same geo- graphical region. The existence of particular island effects were tested under polar conditions by compar- ing infaunal benthic assemblages on Peter I Island with those of similar latitudes in the open ocean at the Bellingshausen Sea and also from the coast of the Antarctic Peninsula. Sampling was carried out aboard the R/V Hesperides during the expedition named BENTART-2003 from 24 January to 3 March 2003. Benthic samples were collected at 18 stations ranging from 90 to 2 044 m depth, using an USNEL-type box corer （Bc） dredge. Representatives of 32 higher taxa of invertebrates were found. Univariate and multivariate analyses revealed various patterns in the data. First, significant differences in polychaete abundance were detected between the stations located in the open sea and the remaining sites （island plus mainland sites）. Bivalve abundances were also distinct between island and mainland sampling sites. Sediment columns taken from the island seafloor exhibited the highest rate of bioturbation by the infauna. These findings confirm the model that islands develop distinct assemblages characterized by the enhancement of the benthic commu- nities even in cold waters. Several abiotic factors were measured simultaneously at the seafloor and along the water column to investigate faunal distribution patterns. Significant correlations were found between the benthic assemblages and a combination of two environmental variables：＂island effect＂（measured as a categorical variable） and the redox state of sediments. Richer and more complex benthic assemblages were found in Peter I Island＇s sea bottom, whereas the more depauperate bottoms remained in the open sea.

＜正＞The problem of controlling a rigid manipulator driven by induction motors （IM） to follow a desired trajectory is considered in this paper. We propose a robust nonlinear control technique to deal with uncertainties in both the rotor and stator winding resistances. In the proposed scheme, assuming that a nominal control law. designed with the knowledge of the plant parameters, ensures the exponential stability of the closed-loop system in the absence of parameter uncertainty, we use the Lyapunov technique to find an additional feedback signal that is added to the control signal to guarantee the uniform ultimate stability in the presence of uncertainties. Simulation results are included to illustrate the performance of the control scheme.

AIM To compare the safety and efficacy or 3 basal-bolus regimens of neutral protamine hagedorn(NPH)/regular insulin in the management of inpatient *** We randomized 105 patients with blood glucose levelsbetween 140 and 400 mg/dL to a basal-bolus regimen of NPH insulin given once(n = 30), twice(n = 40) or three times(n = 35) daily, in addition to pre-meal regular insulin. Major outcomes included were differences in glycemic control, frequency of hypoglycemia and total insulin *** NPH insulin given in a once-daily regimen was associated with better glycemic control(58.3%) compared to twice daily(42.4%) and three times daily(48.9) regimens(P = 0.031). The frequency of hypoglycemia was similar between the three groups(2.0%, 0.7% and 1.2%, P = 0.21). The mean insulin dose at discharge was 0.48 ± 0.14 U/kg in the once-daily group compared to 0.69 ± 0.28 in the twice-daily, and 0.65 ± 0.20 in the three times daily regimens(P cONcLUSION NPH insulin administered in a once-daily regimen resulted in improvement in glycemic control with similar rates of hypoglycemia compared to a twice-daily and a three times-daily regimen. Further studies are needed to evaluate whether this regimen could be implemented in all hospitalized patients with hyperglycemia.

Despite functioning without major operational problems—copper electro-refining does not allow complete use of copper anodes, peaking at 85% of the copper anode in weight. consequently, the remaining 15% of scrap copper must be recirculated into the copper smelting. The use of reactive electrodyalysis is a system capable of continuously electro-refining scrap, by using a stainless steel basket and a cationic exchanging membrane in order to increase production of copper cathodes at the same percentage;it currently today returns to the copper smelter. In terms of specific energy consumption, this process would use between 3 and 4 times the value of normal electro-refining.

changsha was one of the most affected areas during the 2009 A(H1N1)influenza pandemic in ***,we analyze the spatial–temporal dynamics of the 2009 pandemic across changsha municipal districts,evaluate the relationship between case incidence and the local urban spatial structure and predict high-risk areas of influenza A(H1N1).We obtained epidemiological data on all cases of influenza A(H1N1)reported across municipal districts in changsha during period May 2009–December 2010 and data on population density and basic geographic characteristics for 239 primary schools,97 middle schools,347 universities,96 malls and markets,674 business districts and 121 ***–temporal K functions,proximity models and logistic regression were used to analyze the spatial distribution pattern of influenza A(H1N1)incidence and the association between influenza A(H1N1)cases and spatial risk factors and predict the infection *** found that the 2009 influenza A(H1N1)was driven by a transmission wave from the center of the study area to surrounding areas and reported cases increased significantly after September *** also found that the distribution of influenza A(H1N1)cases was associated with population density and the presence of nearest public places,especially universities(OR=10.166).The final predictive risk map based on the multivariate logistic analysis showed high-risk areas concentrated in the center areas of the study area associated with high population *** findings support the identification of spatial risk factors and highrisk areas to guide the prioritization of preventive and mitigation efforts against future influenza pandemics.
