The monophthalocyanine complexes of samarium and terbium containing axial 2-mercaptobenzothiazole（Pc Sm（MBT）（1））, 2-（2-benzoxazol-2-yl） phenolate（Pc Tb（OON）（2）） or 2-（2-benzothiazol-2-yl）phenolate（Pc Tb（SON）（3）） ligands were synthesized and identified by elemental, lDI-TOF and X-ray（for 1） ***（Pl） and electroluminescence（El） spectra of the compounds contained only emission bands of phthalocyanine and axial ligands but did not contain the bands of f-f *** was found that among the complexes 1, 2, 3 the latter had highest photoconductivity（~10–7 S/cm） and photovoltaic *** organic photovoltaic device（OPV） of configuration of ITO/3/C60/Alq3/Al revealed open-circuit voltage（VOC） of 0.24 V and short current density（ISC） of 0.3 μA/cm2 under illumination by a xenon lamp at 17 m W/cm2.

Studied waters belong to warm （T=30-50℃）, alkaline （pH=8.9-9.3）, low mineralized （TDS〈235 mg/l） Na-HCO3 or Na-SO4-HCO3 thermal waters with high content of SiO2 （up to 81 mg/1） and F （up to 3.9 mg/l）, occur on modern volcano-tectonic rejuvenated areas of Eastern Sikhote-Alin orogenic belt. low 3He concentration as well as N2/O2 and N2/Ar ratios exclude influence of deep mantle fluid. New rare earth element data constrain our understanding of water-rock interaction occurring in the water source region. Meteoric origin of waters is proved by stable isotope values varying from -71%o to -136.1‰ and from -10.8‰ to -18.8%o for δ^2H and δ^18O respectively. REE patterns reflect high pH, resultfing from water-rock interaction and oxidative conditions. Calculations of deep aquifer temperature using Na-K and quartz geothermometers show 116.8-131.1℃ and 82.2-125.8℃ respectively. Presence of deep faults both with abnormal thermal gradient （-45- 50 K/km） define unique geochemical shape of thermal waters of Sikhote-Alin, area, where no present volcanic activity is registered.

Phytohormones, auxins in particular, play an important role in plant development and productivity. Earlier data showed positive impact of exogenous auxin on potato (Solanum tuberosum l.) tuberization. The aim of this study was to generate potato plants with increased auxin level predominantly in tubers. To this end, a pBinB33-tms1 vector was constructed harboring the Agrobacterium auxin biosynthesis gene tms1 fused to tuber-specific promoter of the class I patatin gene (B33-promoter) of potato. Among numerous independently generated B33:tms1 lines, those without visible differences from control were selected for detailed studies. In the majority of transgenic lines, tms1 gene transcription was detected, mostly in tubers rather than in shoots. Indoleacetic acid (IAA) content in tubers and the auxin tuber-to-shoot ratio were increased in tms1-expressing transformants. The organ-specific increase in auxin synthesis in B33:tms1-transformants accelerated and intensified the process of tuber formation, reduced the dose of carbohydrate supply required for in vitro tuberization, and decreased the photoperiodic dependence of tuber initiation. Overall, a positive correlation was observed between tms1 expression, IAA content in tubers, and stimulation of tuber formation. The revealed properties of B33:tms1 transformants imply an important role for auxin in potato tuberization and offer prospects to magnify potato productivity by a moderate organ-specific enhancement of auxin content.

Bipolar molecules incorporating donor and acceptor components within a single molecule provide new device opportunities due to their intrinsic behavior as nanoscale p-n heterojunctions. The suitability of such molecules for photovoltaic applications depends on many factors, including the energy and spatial distribution of molecular orbitals, the influence of environment, how the molecules are assembled, and optical excitation response. Here we report a direct characterization of the local electronic structure of the bipolar molecule bithiophene naphthalene diimide （BND）. Using scanning tunneling spectroscopy, we were able to study the internal electronic structure of individual BND molecules on a thin insulating layer of NaCl. We find that BND molecules exhibit type II heterojunction behavior with orbital energy shifts occurring over subnanometer intramolecular interface distances. At higher coverage on metal substrates BND molecules with different bridge structures self-assemble into 1-d molecular chains. Our experimental results can be understood through the use of first-principle theoretical modeling, and provide new insights into how these molecular systems might be optimized.

Wild-type potato (Solanum tuberosum l.) plants and their transformants harboring agrobacterial rolB or rolC genes under control of the patatin class I promoter were cultured in vitro. These plants were used as a source of single-node stem cuttings. The structure of native starch in tubers formed on cuttings was determined using methods of X-ray scattering and differential scanning microcalorimetry (DSC). It was found that in starch from tubers of rolB plants the melting temperature of crystalline lamella was lower and their thickness was less than that in wild-type potato. In tubers of rolC plants starch differed from starch in wild-type plants by a higher melting temperature, reduced melting enthalpy, and a greater thickness of crystalline lamellae. The melting of starch from tubers of rolC plants proceeded as the melting of two independent crystalline structures with melting temperatures of 338.0°K and 342.8°K. Overall data show that starches of different structure can be obtained by using transgenic approach.
