Standard cell placement algori.hms have been at the forefront of academi. research concerni.g the physi.al desi.n stages of VLSi.desi.n flows. The penulti.ate step of a standard cell placement procedure i. legali.ati.n. i. thi. step the manufacturabi.i.y of the desi.n i. di.ectly settled, and the quali.y of the soluti.n, i. terms of wi.elength, congesti.n, ti.i.g and power consumpti.n i. i.di.ectly defi.ed. Si.ce the heavy li.ti.g regardi.g processi.g i. performed by global placers, fast legali.ati.n soluti.ns are protruded i. state-of-the-art desi.n flows. i. thi. paper we propose and evaluate a legali.ati.n scheme that surpasses i. executi.n speed two of the most wi.ely used legali.ers, wi.hout not only corrupti.g the quali.y of the fi.al soluti.n i. terms of i.terconnecti.n wi.elength but i.provi.g i. i. the process.
