The deep-towed Acoustics and Geophysics System (dTAGS) is a high frequency (220-820 Hz) multichannel seismic system towed about 300 m above *** to the conventional surface-towed seismic system,the dTAGS system is characterized by its shorter wavelength (d greater sampling in wavenumber space,so it has unique advantages in distinguishing fine sedimentary layers and geological *** the near-bottom configuration and wide high-frequency bandwidth,the precise source and hydrophone positioning is the basement of subsequent seismic imaging and velocity analysis,and thus the quality of array geometry inversion is the key of dTAGS data *** the application of exploration for marine gas hydrate on mid-slope of northern Cascadia margin,the dTAGS system has shown high vertical and lateral resolution images of the sedimentary and structural features of the Cucumber Ridge (a carbonate mound) and Bullseye Vent (a cold vent),and provided abundant information for the evaluation of gas hydrate concentration and the mechanism of fluid flow that controls the formation and distribution of gas hydrate.

Acute primary immune responses tend to focus on few immunodominant determinants using a very limited number of T cell clones for expansion, whereas chronic inflammatory responses generally recruit a large number of different T cell clones to attack a broader range of determinants of the invading pathogens or the inflamed tissues. In T cell-mediated organ-specific autoimmune disease, a transition from the acute to the chronic phase contributes to pathogenesis, and the broadening process is called determinant spreading. The cellular components catalyzing the spreading reaction are not identified. It has been suggested that autoreactive B cells may play a central role in diversifying autoreactive T cell responses, possibly through affecting antigen processing and presentation. The clonal identity and diversity of the B cells and antibodies seem critical in regulating T cell activity and subsequent tissue damage or repair. Here, we use two autoimmune animal models, experimental autoimmune thyroiditis （EAT） and type 1 diabetes （T1d）, to discuss how autoreactive B cells or antibodies alter the processing and presentation of autoantigens to regulate specific T cell response. Is there a role for colon capsule endoscopy beyond colorectal cancer screening? A literature review

Colon capsule endoscopy is recommended in Europe alternatively to colonoscopy for colorectal cancer screening in average risk individuals. The procedure has also been proposed to complete colon examination in cases of incomplete colonoscopy or when colonoscopy is contraindicated or refused by the patient. As tissue samples cannot be obtained with the current capsule device, colon capsule endoscopy has no place in diagnosing ulcerative colitis or in dysplasia surveillance. Nevertheless, data are accumulating regarding its feasibility to examine ulcerative colitis disease extent and to monitor disease activity and mucosal healing, even though reported results on the capsule’s performance in this field vary greatly. In this review we present the currently available evidence for the use of colon capsule endoscopy to complement colonoscopy failure to reach the cecum and its use to evaluate ulcerative colitis disease activity and extent. Moreover, we provide an outlook on issues requiring further investigation before the capsule becomes a mainstream alternative to colonoscopy in such cases.

Background:Gastric ulcers continue to affect millions of people worldwide,with reported cases of fatalities and the diagnosis,prevention and treatment constitute a burden on the patients especially in case of chronic ulcers which are difficult to *** medicines such as propolis provide suitable therapeutic alternatives in the treatment and curation of ***:This work focused on the evaluation of the phenolic profile and healing effect of Cameroonian propolis on gastric ulcers in ***:Identification and quantification of phenolic compounds in the propolis extract was done using *** gastric ulcers were induced using ethanol(70%;1 mL/200 g p.o.)/indomethacin(1 mg/kg p.o.),and“unhealed”gastric ulcerations were induced using acetic acid(30%)/indomethacin(1 mg/kg p.o.).The animals were administered with the vehicle(Tween 20,1 mL/100 g p.o.),propolis extract(200 mg/kg,400 mg/kg and 600 mg/kg p.o.)or sucralfate(50 mg/kg p.o.),once daily for ten to fourteen *** the end of each treatment period,the animals were sacrificed and ulcer indices,gastric mucus weight,histological and oxidative stress parameters were ***:Eight phenolic compounds were identified and quantified and most abundant were Caffeic acid(45.31±0.25μg/g),Chrysin(37.65±0.17μg/g)and p-Hydroxy benzoic acid(34.14±0.21μg/g).The treatment of ulcerated rats(chronic and unhealed gastric ulcer models)with propolis extract at 200 mg/kg,400 mg/kg and 600 mg/kg resulted in reduction of ulcer index compared to negative controls in both *** ob-servation of stomach tissues showed that treatment with propolis extract led to a dose-dependent normalization of the *** was a significant increase(Pd Pd the healing of the ***,doses of 200 mg/kg,400 mg/kg and 600 mg/kg of the propolis extract induced an increase in the amounts of SOd,catalase,nitrite and GSH while MdA concentrations d

Hepatitis C(HCV)is a viral infection that affects an estimated 71 million people worldwide,with over 1 million new infec-tions *** medical treatments exist,HCV continues to be a significant public health *** prevention and transmission risk factor identification remain key in helping decrease disease *** intravenous drug use,healthcare exposure(*** transfusions and surgical care),and body modification(*** and piercings)are well accepted risk factors for HCV transmission,others remain *** dental practice is often asso-ciated with procedures and bleeding,the possibility of HCV transmission seemed reasonable to ***,we review the evidence for dental care as a potential risk factor for HCV *** identified a total of 1,180 manu-scripts related to HCV and dental care,of which 26 manu-scripts were included in the study after exclusionary criteria were *** per our review of the available literature,in the developing world,the improper use of sterile technique and lack of provider education likely increases the risk of HCV transmission during dental *** developed nations,on the other hand,general dental care does not appear to be a significant risk factor for HCV transmission in non-intravenous drug user patients;although,the improper use and reuse of anesthetics during procedures poses a rare potential risk for viral transmission.
