The objectives of the present study were to examine the spatial patterns of sward dry matter (DM) and nitrogen (N) yields in a grass silage field at first, second, and third cuts over a 3-year period; quantify their temporal stabilities with temporal stability maps; and assess the potential for site-specific management in each pasture-growing period using classified management maps. At cut 1, the spatial patterns of DM and N yields proved to be well defined and temporally stable and were likely to be due to differences in the net N mineralization rates across the field during spring. In contrast, at cut 2, the patterns of DM production were patchy and temporally unstable. It was concluded that, in principle, a simple site-specific approach to N fertilization would be possible in this field during spring at cut 1. At later harvests, the rationale for a site-specific approach to fertilizer management was less clear with logistics appearing to be more complex and less feasible.

Accurate model identification and fault detection are necessary for reliable motor control. Motor-characterizing parameters experience substantial changes due to aging, motor operating conditions, and faults. Consequently, motor parameters must be estimated accurately and reliably during operation. Based on enhanced model structures of electric motors that accommodate both normal and faulty modes, this paper introduces bias-corrected least-squares （Ls） estimation algorithms that incorporate functions for correcting estimation bias, forgetting factors for capturing sudden faults, and recursive structures for efficient real-time implementation. Permanent magnet motors are used as a benchmark type for concrete algorithm development and evaluation. Algorithms are presented, their properties are established, and their accuracy and robustness are evaluated by simulation case studies under both normal operations and inter-turn winding faults. Implementation issues from different motor control schemes are also discussed.

This study presents the structural characteristics and regeneration potential of mangrove patches in the estuarine and coastal areas of Kerala, a tropical maritime state in India. Field surveys were carried out at 46 selected sites during August 2015 to May 2016. In each site, the vegetative structure and regeneration status were assessed using the quadrat method. Altogether 219 quadrates were laid out and a total of 13 true mangrove species, belonging to 5 families and 8 genera, were recorded. The total tree density and stand basal area of the study region was1678.08/ha and 20.33 m^2/ha respectively. The low basal areas indicate the reduced structural development in mangroves. Of the 13 tree species, Avicennia constitutes 56%of the total Important Value Index(IVI) and Avicennia officinalis represents 41% of the IVI in Kerala, followed by Avicennia marina(15%), Rhizophora mucronata(15%),sonneratia alba(8%) Rhizophora apiculata(7%) and Excoecaria agallocha(7%). The diameter at breast height(DBH) in the study area revealed that 47% of the tree species came under the 1–10 cm DBH class. Total sapling and seedling density in Kerala was 2238.35 and 3232.42 individuals/ha respectively. Density of young plants(seedlings ? saplings) was only 31% greater of tree density and varied from 3–63%, which indicates poor regeneration potential. The Maturity index value(MIV) and complexity index(Ic) value of mangroves were 18.30 and 109.81 respectively. However, the low Ic value(\ 10) observed in seven out of ten coastal districts indicated poor structural development of mangroves in Kerala. Therefore, locationspecific conservation and management measures, guided by the knowledge on spatial distribution and habitat requirements of mangrove varieties should be taken to preserve the mangrove diversity of Kerala.

Atherosclerotic renal artery stenosis (ARAs), a common clinical finding, is increasing in prevalence as the population ages. ARAs is seen in ～ 7% of persons over 65 years of age1 and in ～ 20% of patients at the time of coronary angiography.2 It is an important cause of chronic kidney disease and may result in 11-14% of cases of end stage renal disease.

Consistent decision-making requires a structured and systematic evaluation of advantages and disadvantages of different choice *** transport projects,policies or policy measures,and transport options evaluation,various multi-criteria methods have been developed and effectively applied to complement conventional cost effectiveness and cost benefit *** present paper aims to present a state-of-the-art review of pertinent literature regarding multi-criteria decision-making(MCD M)in the transport sector,focusing on the basic concepts and procedure for multi-criteria decision-making in the transport sector,along with its role and evaluation parameters.A large selection of over 50 papers and publications between 1982 and 2019 have been reviewed,in order to provide an insight into the uses of MCDM methods in transport *** commonly used MCDM metho ds techniques are identified and discussed through a wide review of pertinent literature,research and case studies,leading to interesting conclusions that provide a valuable insight into the use of multicriteria analysis techniques in transport sector related *** on the wide range of reviewed literature,it is concluded that MCDM methods are being applied mostly to evaluate transport options rather than transport policies or projects and the most commonly used MCDM method in transport sector problems are analytic hierarchy process(AHP).

We present a novel approach for tailoring the laser induced surface topography upon femtosecond(fs)pulsed laser *** method employs spatially controlled double fs laser pulses to actively regulate the hydrodynamic microfluidic motion of the melted layer that gives rise to the structures *** pulse train used,in particular,consists of a previously unexplored spatiotemporal intensity combination including one pulse with Gaussian and another with periodically modulated intensity distribution created by Direct Laser Interference Patterning(DLIP).The interpulse delay is appropriately chosen to reveal the contribution of the microfluidic melt flow,while it is found that the sequence of the Gaussian and DLIP pulses remarkably influences the surface profile *** also demonstrate that both the spatial intensity of the double pulse and the effective number of pulses per irradiation spot can further be modulated to control the formation of complex surface *** underlying physical processes behind the complex patterns’generation were interpreted in terms of a multiscale model combining electron excitation with melt *** believe that this work can constitute a significant step forward towards producing laser induced surface structures on demand by tailoring the melt microfluidic phenomena.

schwannomas are rare tumors derived from the cells of schwann that form the neural sheath. When located in the gastrointestinal tract, they constitute together with leiomyoma, leiomyoblastoma, and leiomyosarcoma, the gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIsT). Peripheral nerve sheath tumors represent 2-6% GIsT with most common location, the stomach and the small intestine. schwannomas of the colon and rectum are extremely rare and radical excision with wide margins is mandatory, due to their tendency to recur locally and become malignant, if left untreated. In the present study, we report a rare case of a sigmoid schwannoma, which was successfully treated in our department and reviewed the literature.

An emerging business model increasingly used by companies in the online software market is to provide both a free basic version and a paid premium version for a service or a product to customers. such a setting is often called freemium model. The existence of the free version can reduce the customer uncertainty regarding the evaluation of the commercial software and make use of network effect to improve the firm＇s profit. However, the freemium model may also have the cannibalization effect which can hurt the profit. Hence, the from needs to determine the optimal content for the free version and the optimal price for the premium version to maximize its profit. In this paper, thst, we obtain the optimal decisions of the freemium model and their properties. second, we compare the freemium model with the traditional charge-for-everything model that all content of the product need to be charged in terms of the profit, customer welfare, and social welfare. The results show that when customer underestimates the value of the software significantly and the true value of the software is high enough, the freemium model can generate higher profit, higher customer welfare, and higher social welfare. Otherwise, the freemium model may not deliver the desired results.
