Predicting the synthesizability of crystalline inorganic materials from the data of known material compositions

Reliably identifying synthesizable inorganic crystalline materials is an unsolved challenge required for realizing autonomous materials *** this work,we develop a deep learning synthesizability model(synthNN)that leverages the entire space of synthesized inorganic chemical *** reformulating material discovery as a synthesizability classification task,synthNN identifies synthesizable materials with 7×higher precision than with DFT-calculated formation *** a head-to-head material discovery comparison against 20 expert material scientists,synthNN outperforms all experts,achieves 1.5×higher precision and completes the task five orders of magnitude faster than the best human ***,without any prior chemical knowledge,our experiments indicate that synthNN learns the chemical principles of charge-balancing,chemical family relationships and ionicity,and utilizes these principles to generate synthesizability *** development of synthNN will allow for synthesizability constraints to be seamlessly integrated into computational material screening workflows to increase their reliability for identifying synthetically accessible materials.

Inflammatory processes and proinflammatory cytokines have a key role in the cellular processes of neurodegenerative diseases and are linked to the pathogenesis of functional and mental health *** necrosis factor alpha has been reported to play a major role in the central nervous system in Alzheimer’s disease,Parkinson’s disease and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and many other neurodegenerative ***,a potent proinflammatory/proapoptotic tumor necrosis factor alpha could be a strong candidate for targeted *** derivatives have now become promising candidates as therapeutic agents because of their antioxidant and chemical characteristics,and anti-inflammatory ***,phytochemicals including flavonoids,terpenoids,alkaloids,and lignans have generated interest as tumor necrosis factor alpha inhibitor candidates for a number of diseases involving inflammation within the nervous *** this review,we discuss how phytochemicals as tumor necrosis factor alpha inhibitors are a therapeutic strategy targeting neurodegeneration.

社交媒体使用与青少年自杀风险的关联受到广泛关注。匹兹堡大学David教授领衔的团队在美国各地招募了60名青少年进行了为期8周的监测,通过每日3次生态瞬时评估询问青少年社交媒体使用相关的消极体验(如感到焦虑)、积极体验(如受到鼓励)及自杀意念,首次通过密集监测设计探讨青少年社交媒体体验与自杀意念间的关联,结果显示,频繁经历消极的社交媒体体验的青少年更可能报告自杀意念,而积极的社交媒体体验与自杀意念报告率降低有关。此外,未发现社交媒体的使用时间(视屏时间)与自杀意念间的显著关联。研究提示社交媒体经历可能是青少年自杀可修饰的风险因素,未来的研究应将增强青少年社交媒体的积极体验感作为改善青少年心理健康和预防自杀的目标,而不仅仅是限制视屏时间。

Rapid climate change has led to enhanced soil salinity,one of the major determinants of land degradation,resulting in low agricultural *** has a strong negative impact on food security and environmental *** display various physiological,developmental,and cellular responses to deal with salt *** studies have highlighted the root cap as the primary stress sensor and revealed its crucial role in *** root cap covers the primary root meristem and is the first cell type to sense and respond to soil salinity,relaying the signal to neighboring cell ***,it remains unclear how root-cap cells perceive salt stress and contribute to the salt-stress ***,we performed a root-cap cell-specific proteomics study to identify changes in the proteome caused by salt *** study revealed a very specific salt-stress response pattern in root-cap cells compared with non-rootcap cells and identified several novel proteins unique to the root ***-cap-specific protein–protein interaction(PPI)networks derived by superimposing proteomics data onto known global PPI networks revealed that the endoplasmic reticulum(ER)stress pathway is specifically activated in root-cap cells upon salt ***,we identified root-cap-specific jacalin-associated lectins(JALs)expressed in response to salt stress.A JAL10-GFP fusion protein was shown to be localized to the *** of jal10 mutants indicated a role for JAL10 in regulating the ER stress pathway in response to *** together,our findings highlight the participation of specific root-cap proteins in salt-stress response ***,root-cap-specific JAL proteins and their role in the salt-mediated ER stress pathway open a new avenue for exploring tolerance mechanisms and devising better strategies to increase plant salinity tolerance and enhance agricultural productivity.

To achieve the triple challenge of food security,reversing biodiversity declines plus mitigating and adapting to climate change,there is a drive to embed ecological principles into agricultural,value-chain practices and *** diversifying cropping systems at several scales there is potential to decrease reliance on inputs,provide resilience to abiotic and biotic stress,enhance plant,microbe and animal biodiversity,and mitigate against climate *** this review we highlight the research performed in scotland over the past 5 years into the impact of the use of ecological principles in agriculture on sustainability,resilience and provision of ecosystem *** demonstrate that diversification of the system can enhance ecosystem *** and plant management interventions,including nature-based solutions,can also enhance soil quality and utilization of legacy ***,this is facilitated by greater reliance on soil biological processes and trophic *** highlight the example of intercropping with legumes to deliver sustainability through ecological principles and use legumes as an exemplar of the *** conclude that there are many effective interventions that can be made to deliver resilient,sustainable,and diverse agroecosystems for crop and food production,and these may be applicable in any agroecosystem.

Background:Dyop®is a dynamic optotype with a rotating and segmented visual *** can be used for visual acuity and refractive error *** objective of the study was to compare refractive error measurement using the Dyop®acuity and LogMAR E ***:Fifty subjects aged 18 or above with aided visual acuity better than 6/12 were *** error was measured by subjective refraction methods using the Dyop®acuity chart and LogMAR E charts and the duration of measurement ***’s notation was used to represent the refractive error obtained for ***:There was no significant difference in terms of spherical equivalent(M)(P=0.96)or J0(P=0.78)and J45(P=0.51)components measured using the Dyop®acuity and LogMAR E ***,subjective refraction measurement was significantly faster using the Dyop®acuity chart(t=4.46,Psurement time of 419.90±91.17 versus 452.04±74.71 seconds using the LogMAR E ***:Accuracy of refractive error measurement using a Dyop®chart was comparable with use of a LogMAR E *** dynamic optotype Dyop®could be considered as an alternative fixation target to be used in subjective refraction.

Buried bumper syndrome(BBs)is the situation in which the internal bumper of the gastrostomy tube,due to prolonged compression of the tissues between the external and the internal bumper,migrates from the gastric lumen into the gastric wall or further,into the tract outside the gastric lumen,ending up anywhere between the stomach mucosa and the surface of the *** restricts liquid food from entering the stomach,since the internal opening is obstructed by gastric mucosal *** performed a comprehensive search of the PubMed literature to retrieve all the case-reports and case-series referring to BBs and its management,after which we focused on the endoscopic techniques for releasing the internal bumper to re-establish the functionality of the *** the“push”and the“push and pull T”techniques to the most sophisticated-using high tech instruments,all 10 published techniques have been critically analysed and the pros and cons presented,in an effort to optimize the criteria of choice based on maximum efficacy and safety.
