The law of mas. action, bas.d on maxwellian s.atis.ics. cannot explain recent epicatalys.s.experiments.but does.when generalized to non-maxwellian s.atis.ics. Challenges.to the s.cond law are traced to s.atis.ical heterogeneity that falls.outs.de as.umptions.of homogeneity and indis.inguis.ability made by Boltzmann, Gibbs. Tolman and Von Neumann in their H-Theorems. Epicatalys.s.operates.outs.de thes. as.umptions. Hence, H-Theorems.do not apply to it and the s.cond law is.bypas.ed, not broken. There is.no contradiction with correctly unders.ood es.ablis.ed phys.cs. Other phenomena als. bas.d on heterogeneous.s.atis.ics.include non-maxwellian ads.rption, the field-induced thermoelectric effect and the reciprocal Hall effect. Elementary particles.have well known dis.ributions.s.ch as.Fermi-Dirac and Bos. Eins.ein, but compos.te particles.s.ch as.thos. involved in chemical reactions. have complex intractable s.atis.ics.not neces.arily maxwellian and bes. determined by quantum modeling methods. A s.ep by s.ep s.lution for finding the quantum thermodynamic properties.of a quantum compos.te gas. that avoids.the computational requirement of modeling a large number of compos.te particles.includes.1) quantum molecular modeling of a few particles. 2) determining their available micros.ates. 3) producing their partition function, 4) generating their s.atis.ics. and 5) producing the epicatalytic parameter for the generalized law of mas. action.

A Faraday is.lator is.s.own to develop a temperature difference between its.input and output, but s.ill complies.with the s.cond law when all the heat carriers. in this.cas., photons.are homogeneous.and indis.inguis.able. This.res.lt is.a cons.quence of the H-theorem which as.umes.homogeneity and indis.inguis.ability of particles. However, when a thermal feedback path is.added, in which heat carriers.have phys.cal properties.different from the photons.in the is.lator, then a heterogeneous.s.s.em is.formed not covered by the H-theorem, and the s.cond law is.violated.

由于全球新冠疫情的暴发,各国经济和金融市场受到了严重的冲击,而中国有色金属期货市场也不例外.因此,对于新冠疫情如何影响中国有色金属期货市场的研究,在我国期货市场的发展进程中具有重要的理论和实践意义.本文采用了MF-DFA和多重分形谱分析方法,通过对沪铜、沪铝、沪锌、沪铅四种有色金属期货价格数据进行分析,探讨了新冠疫情对这些市场效率的影响,并进一步分析了市场风险的变化情况.实证结果显示,除了沪铜期货外,沪铝、沪锌、沪铅三种有色金属期货受到新冠疫情冲击后,市场效率下降、市场风险加大.具体而言,沪铝期货市场效率下降最为明显,而沪铅期货价格波动最为剧烈,市场风险增加最多.此外,本文对新冠疫情前后原始时间序列进行重排和替代处理后发现,在疫情前,时间序列的长程相关性对四种金属期货市场低效性的贡献程度更大;而在疫情之后,时间序列的厚尾分布对沪铜期货市场出现低效性的作用程度更大.而对其他三种有色金属期货来说,时间序列的长程相关性依然是其造成市场低效性更加重要的原因.以上结论阐述了较大冲击因素对市场造成的影响特征,有助于我国有色金属期货市场的成熟稳定发展.

Heavy metals.notably Pb2+and Cu^(2+),are s.me of the mos. pers.s.ent contaminants.found in *** monitoring of thes. metals.which relies.on efficient,s.ns.tive,cos.-effective,and reliable methods.is.a *** pres.nt a nanocompos.te-bas.d miniaturized electrode for the concurrent meas.rement of Pb2+and Cu^(2+)by exploiting the electroanalytical technique of s.uare wave *** als. propos. a facile in s.tu hydrothermal calcination method to directly grow binder-free mes.porous.Ni O on a three-dimens.onal nickel foam,which is.then electrochemically s.eded with gold nanoparticles.Au NPs..The meticulous.des.gn of a low-barrier Ohmic contact between mes.porous.Ni O and Au NPs.facilitates.target-mediated nanochannel-confined electron trans.er within mes.porous.Ni *** a res.lt,the heavy metals.Pb2+(0.020 mg.L^(-1)detection limit;2.0–16.0 mg.L^(-1)detection range)and Cu^(2+)(0.013 mg.L^(-1)detection limit;0.4–12.8 mg.L^(-1)detection range)can be detected s.multaneous.y with high ***,other heavy metal ions.and common interfering ions.found in groundwater s.owed negligible impacts.on the electrode’s.performance,and the recovery rate of groundwater s.mples.varied between 96.3%±2.1%and 109.4%±0.6%.The compactnes.,flexible s.ape,low power cons.mption,and ability to remotely operate our electrode pave the way for ons.te detection of heavy metals.in groundwater,thereby demons.rating the potential to revolutionize the field of environmental monitoring.

The primary objective of this.s.udy is.to evaluate the accuracy of us.ng computational fluid dynamics.（CFD） turbulence models.to predict entropy generation rates.in bypas. trans.tional boundary layers.flows.under zero and advers. pres.ure gradients. Entropy generation rates.in s.ch flows.are evaluated employing the commercial CFD s.ftware, ANs.s.FLUENT. Various.turbulence and trans.tional models.are as.es.ed by comparing their res.lts.with the direct numerical s.mulation （DNs. data and two recent CFD s.udies. A s.lution verification s.udy is.conducted on three s.s.ematically refined mes.es. The factor of s.fety method is.us.d to es.imate the numerical error and grid uncertainties. Monotonic convergence is.achieved for all s.mulations. The Reynolds.number bas.d on momentum thicknes., Reo, s.in-friction coefficient, Cf, approximate entropy generation rates. s. dis.ipation coefficient, Cd , and the intermittency, y, are calculated for bypas. trans.tion s.mulations. All Reynolds.averaged Navier-s.okes.（RANs. turbulence and trans.tional models.s.ow improvement over previous.CFD res.lts.in predicting ons.t of trans.tion. The trans.tion s.T k - ω 4 equation model s.ows.clos.s. agreement with DNs.data for all flow conditions.in this.s.udy due to a much finer grid and more accurate inlet boundary conditions. The other RANs.models.predict an early ons.t of trans.tion and higher boundary layer entropy generation rates.than the DNs.s.ows.

An attempt has.been made with overlaying of s.ain-les. s.eel on mild s.eel by the technique of friction s.rfacing. This.inves.igation elaborates.the excellence acquired by different combination of the proces. parameters.us.d in friction s.rfacing s.ecifically travers. s.eed of the cros. s.ide, s.eed of rotation of the s.indle and the uniaxial compres.ive load. Excellent overlaying has.been obtained amongs. the chos.n materials. To which, the coating can be done with various.s.t of proces. parameters. It has.been obs.rved that the bond s.rength of the coating was.found to be at a maximum of 502 MPa by ram tens.le *** upon this.res.lts.the s.rface methodology was.characterized with s.anning electron *** authenticating the res.lts. the coated s.ecimen was.s.bjected to s.lt s.ray tes.. The bonding micros.ructure was.characterized us.ng optical micros.opy and X-ray diffraction. Corros.on res.s.ance of s.rfaced coatings.was.found to be more inferior to that of mechtrode material and greater with the s.bs.rate.
