Thermochromic polymers with tunable thermochromism,high stretchability and mechanical strength are of interests for optical information storage and *** this work,we demonstrate a new design of thermo-fluorochromic carboxylated nitrile butadiene rubber(XNBR)elastomer cross-linked by Eu^(3+)-COOH dynamic coordination with deprotonated imidazole(DPIm)as the ancillary *** presence of DPIm not only improves the mechanical strength and stretchability,but also dramatically intensifies the fluorescence emission and lifetime of the Eu-containing *** elastomer behaves reversible thermo-fluorochromism with easily tunable transition temperature and emission intensity by the simple change of the deprotonation degree of *** facile tunable thermo-fluorochromism,exceptional mechanical strength,and high stretchability(up to about 5000%)enable the Eu-containing XNBR elastomer with potential applications in soft electronics where optical information storage and encryption are required.

High-entropy alloy matrix solid-lubricating composites(HSLCs)are promising anti-wear and friction-reduced materials to meet the demands of complicated engineering *** we present a strat-egy to develop HSLCs by using the coupled high-entropy phases of(BCC+FCC+L2_(1))with near-equal volume fraction as the matrix material,instead of using the usual single phase-dominated high-entropy phases,which can preserve the intrinsic strength and deformability of the matrix while activating adap-tive wear protection during *** enables a low coefficient of frictions of 0.23-0.31 and wear rates within the order of 10^(-6)-10^(-5) mm^(3) N m^(-1) for the(CrFeNi)_(83)(AlTi)_(17)-Ag-BaF_(2)/CaF_(2) HSLC between room-temperature and 800℃,considerably outperforming the reported HSLCs and conventional alloy matrix solid-lubricating *** low and moderate temperatures,the synergistic Ag-BaF_(2)/CaF_(2) lubricat-ing films eliminate the surface stress concentration upon wear,thus suppressing three-body abrasion and surface roughening during the groove multiplication *** elevated temperatures,the high-entropy composite tribo-layers provide the friction interface with strong and deformable stress shielding,which avoids the oxidative and adhesive wear triggered by the delamination of the *** sim-ilar coupled high-entropy matrix phases may open an avenue for further optimization of the tribological properties of the HSLCs.

Enriching the library of chiral plasmonic structures is of significant importance in advancing their applicability across diverse domains such as biosensing,nanophotonics,and ***,employing triangle nanoplates as growth seeds,we synthesized a novel class of chiral-shaped plasmonic nanostructures through a wet chemical strategy with dipeptide as chiral inducers,including chiral tri-blade boomerangs,concave rhombic dodecahedrons,and *** structural diversity in chiral plasmonic nanostructures was elucidated through their continuous morphological evolution from two-dimensional to threedimensional *** fine-tuning of chiroptical properties was achieved by precisely manipulating crucial synthetic parameters such as the amount of chiral molecules,seeds,and gold precursor that significantly influenced chiral structure *** findings provide a promising avenue for enriching chiral materials with highly sophisticated structures,facilitating a fundamental understanding of the relationship between structural nuances and chiroptical properties.

Molecular ordering within the photoactive layer plays a crucial role in determining the device performance of organic solar cells(OSCs).However,the simultaneous molecular ordering processes of polymer donors and non-fullerene acceptors(NFAs)during solution casting usually bring confinement effect,leading to insufficient structural order of photovoltaic ***,the molecular packing of mINPOIC NFA is effectively formed through a heating induced aggregation strategy,with the aggregation of PBDB-T,which has a strong temperature dependence,is retarded by casting on a preheated substrate to reduce its interference toward m-INPOIC.A sequent thermal annealing treatment is then applied to promote the ordering of PBDB-T and achieve balanced aggregation of both donors and acceptors,resulting in the achievement of a maximum efficiency of 13.9% of PBDB-T:m-INPOIC binary *** work disentangles the interactions of donor polymer and NFA during the solution casting process and develops a rational strategy to enhance the molecular packing of NFAs to boost device performance.

This study employs the random finite element method (RFEM) to analyze the wall deflection caused by excavation. The RFEM combined random fields of material properties with the FEM through the Monte Carlo simulation. A well-documented excavation case history is employed to evaluate the influence of uncertainty of analysis parameters. This study shows that RFEM can provide reasonable estimations of the exceedance probability of wall deflection caused by excavation, and has the potential to be a useful tool to account for the uncertainties of material and model parameters in the numerical analysis.
