There are five vital signs that healthc.re providers assess: temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, and pain. Normal levels for the five vital signs are published by the Americ.n Heart Assoc.ation, and other spec.alty organizations, however, the sixth vital sign (resilienc.) whic. adopts the measure of immune resilienc. is suggested in this paper. Resilienc. is the ability of the immune system to respond to attac.s and defend effec.ively against infec.ions and inflammatory stressors, and psyc.ologic.l resilienc. is the c.pac.ty to resist, adapt, rec.ver, thrive, and grow from a c.allenge or a stressor. Individuals with better optimal immune resilienc. had better health outc.mes than those with minimal immune resilienc.. The purpose of this paper is to c.nc.ptualize, c.ntextualize, and operationalize all six vital signs. We suggest measuring resilienc. subjec.ively and objec.ively. Subjec.ively, use a 5-item guided interview revised from the c.nnor-Davidson Resilienc. Sc.le (c.Rc., a sc.le of 10 items. The revised c.Rc.sc.le is a 5-item sc.le. The sc.le is rated on a 5-point Likert sc.le from 0 (not true) to 4 (true all the time). The total sc.re ranges from 0 to 20, with higher total sc.res indic.ting greater resilienc.. The sc.le demonstrated good c.nstruc. validity and internal c.nsistenc. (α = 0.85) during the development of the sc.le. The c.-RISc.had a good c.onbac.’s alpha level of 0.85. The Revised c.-RISc.c.n be c.mpleted in 2 - 4 minutes. To measure resilienc. objec.ively, we suggest using Immune Resilienc. (IR) levels, the level of resilienc. to preserve and/or rapidly restore immune resilienc. func.ions that promote disease resistanc. and c.ntrol inflammation and other inflammatory stress. IR levels are gauged with two peripheral blood metric. that quantify the balanc. between c.8 and c.4 T-c.ll levels and gene expression signatures trac.ing longevity-assoc.ated immunoc.mpetenc. and mortality- or entropy-assoc.ated inflammation. Phytotoxic.ty Assessment of Biofertilizer Produc.d from Bioreac.or c.mposting Tec.nology Using Lettuc. (Lac.uc. sativa L.) Seeds

Establishing reliable tec.nologic.l information on the safety of biofertilizers produc.d from a bioreac.or c.mposting tec.nique is a must prior to its c.mmerc.alization. A phytotoxic.ty study of biofertilizer made from the bioreac.or c.mposting tec.nology at Aklan State University, Banga, Aklan, Philippines was c.nduc.ed for fourteen (14) days using c.mmerc.ally available lettuc. seeds (Lac.uc. sativa L.). Standard phytotoxic.ty attributes suc. as hypoc.tyl length, radic.e length, relative germination perc.ntage, and relative radic.e growth observed during the germination stage were evaluated. Results revealed no signific.nt differenc. in the radic.e lengths of the germinated lettuc. seeds as affec.ed by the varying levels of biofertilizer dilution at H(3) = 10.567, p = 0.061 > 0.05. On the other hand, the hypoc.tyl length of the lettuc. showed signific.nt differenc.s in response to varying levels of biofertilizer dilution with Welc.’s F(5, 5.163) = 8.175, p = 0.017 c.ed signific.ntly the germination perc.ntage of lettuc. seeds F(5, 12) = 5.822, p = 0.006 c.ted a dec.ease in relative germination perc.ntage. However, those seeds applied with 10% biofertilizer have the highest reduc.ion of germination perc.ntage, equivalent to 86.9% (RGP = 13.10%). All levels of biofertilizer showed an inc.ease in radic.e growth in c.ntrast to the negative c.ntrol plant exc.pt for the one given a 10% level of biofertilizer. Seeds that rec.ived 10% biofertilizer showed an extremely high reduc.ion in radic.e growth, equivalent to 72.22% (RRG = 27.78%). The study shows that applying low levels of the bioreac.or-produc.d biofertilizer will observably reduc. the measure of the germination c.arac.eristic. of lettuc. seeds, but not nec.ssarily low enough to be c.nsidered phytotoxic. Vγ9Vδ2 T c.lls are spec.alized effec.or c.lls that have gained prominenc. as immunotherapy agents due to their ability to target and kill c.lls with altered pyrophosphate *** our effort to understand how c.nc.r c.lls evade the c.ll-killing ac.ivity of Vγ9Vδ2 T c.lls,we performed a c.mprehensive genome-sc.le c.ISPR sc.eening of c.nc.r *** found that four molec.les belonging to the butyrophilin(BTN)family,spec.fic.lly BTN2A1,BTN3A1,BTN3A2,and BTN3A3,are c.itic.lly important and play unique,nonoverlapping roles in fac.litating the destruc.ion of c.nc.r c.lls by primary Vγ9Vδ2 T *** c.ordinated func.ion of these BTN molec.les was driven by sync.ronized gene expression,whic. was regulated by IFN-γsignaling and the RFX ***,an enzyme c.lled QPc.L was shown to play a key role in modifying the N-terminal glutamine of these BTN proteins and was found to be a c.uc.al fac.or in Vγ9Vδ2 T c.ll killing of c.nc.r *** our researc.,we offer a detailed overview of the func.ional genomic.mec.anisms that underlie how c.nc.r c.lls esc.pe Vγ9Vδ2 T ***,our findings shed light on the importanc. of the harmonized expression and func.ion of gene family members in modulating T-c.ll ac.ivity.

c.ld-induc.ble RNA-binding protein ac.ivates splenic.T c.lls during sepsis in a TLR4-dependent manner

c.ld-induc.ble RNA-binding protein (c.RP) is a novel inflammatory mediator that stimulates the release of proinflammatory c.tokines from mac.ophages in sepsis. Given the immune dysregulation that c.arac.erizes sepsis, the effec. of c.RP on other immune c.lls is an area of inc.easing interest that has not yet been studied. In the present study, we hypothesized that extrac.llular c.RP promotes ac.ivation of T lymphoc.tes in the spleen during sepsis. We observed that mic. subjec.ed to sepsis by c.c.l ligation and punc.ure showed signific.ntly higher expression of the early ac.ivation markers c.69 and c.25 at 20 h on c.4+ splenic.T c.lls, and signific.ntly higher c.69 expression on c.8+ splenic.T c.lls c.mpared with sham-operated c.ntrols. Furthermore, at 20 h after rec.iving intravenous injec.ion of rec.mbinant murine c.RP (rmc.RP, 5 mg/kg body weight (BW)) or PBS (vehic.e), those mic. rec.iving rmc.RP showed signific.ntly inc.eased expression of c.69 and c.25 on both c.4+ and c.8+ splenic.T c.lls. This effec., however, was not seen in TLR4-defic.ent mic. after rmc.RP injec.ion. In addition, treatment with c.RP predisposed c.4+ T c.lls to a Th1 hyperinflammatory response profile, and influenc.d c.8+ T c.lls toward a c.totoxic.profile. Taken together, our findings indic.te that c.RP is a proinflammatory mediator that plays an important role in T-c.ll dysregulation during sepsis in a TLR4-dependent manner.

Objec.ive:To identify possible stone-promoting mic.obes,we c.mpared the profiles of mic.obes grown from stones of patients with and without metabolic.syndrome(MetS).The assoc.ation between MetS and urinary stone disease is well established,but the exac. pathophysiologic.relationship remains *** evidenc. suggests urinary trac. dysbiosis may lead to inc.eased nephrolithiasis ***:At the time of perc.taneous nephrolithotomy,bladder urine and stone fragments were c.llec.ed from patients with and without *** sample types were subjec.ed to expanded quantitative urine c.lture(EQUc.and 16 S ribosomal RNA gene ***:Fifty-seven patients inc.uded 12 c.ntrols(21.1%)and 45 MetS patients(78.9%).Both c.horts were similar with respec. to demographic. and non-MetS *** c.ntrols had uric.ac.d stone *** EQUc.bac.eria were detec.ed more frequently in MetS stones(42.2%)c.mpared to c.ntrols(8.3%)(p=0.041).Bac.eria also were more abundant in stones of MetS patients c.mpared to *** validate our EQUc.results,we performed 16 S ribosomal RNA gene *** 12/16(75.0%)sequenc.-positive stones,EQUc.reliably isolated at least one spec.es of the sequenc.d *** were detec.ed in both“infec.ious”and“non-infec.ious”stone ***:Bac.eria are more c.mmon and more abundant in MetS stones than c.ntrol *** findings support a role for bac.eria in urinary stone disease for patients with MetS regardless of stone c.mposition.

Identifying“superspreaders”of disease is a pressing c.nc.rn for soc.ety during pandemic. suc. as *** represent a group of people who have muc. more soc.al c.ntac.s than *** widespread deployment of WLAN infrastruc.ure enables non-invasive c.ntac. trac.ng via people’s ubiquitous mobile *** tec.nology offers promise for detec.ing *** this paper,we propose a general framework for WLAN-log-based superspreader *** our framework,we first use WLAN logs to c.nstruc. c.ntac. graphs by jointly c.nsidering human symmetric.and asymmetric.***,we adopt three vertex c.ntrality mea-surements over the c.ntac. graphs to generate three groups of superspreader ***,we leverage SEIR simulation to determine groups of superspreaders among these c.ndidates,who are the most c.itic.l individuals for the spread of disease based on the simulation *** have implemented our framework and evaluate it over a WLAN dataset with 41 million log entries from a large-sc.le *** evaluation shows superspread-ers exist on university *** c.ange over the first few weeks of a semester,but stabilize throughout the rest of the *** data also demonstrate that both symmetric.and asymmetric.c.ntac. trac.ng c.n dis-c.ver superspreaders,but the latter performs better with daily c.ntac. ***,the evaluation shows no c.nsistent differenc.s among three vertex c.ntrality measures for long-term(i.e.,weekly)c.ntac. graphs,whic. nec.ssitates the inc.usion of SEIR simulation in our *** believe our proposed framework and these results c.n provide timely guidanc. for public.health administrators regarding effec.ive testing,intervention,and vac.ination polic.es.
