In persulfate-based advanced oxidation process(PS-AOPs),fixing nanosized metal oxide on processable substrates is highly desirable to avoid the aggregation and loss of nanocatalysts during the practical ***,it is still challenging to develop a versatile strategy for the deposition of metal oxide nanocatalysts on various substrates with different physicochemical ***,polyphenols are utilized as a“molecular glue”and reductant to mediate the interfacial deposition of MnO_(2) nanocatalysts on different ***_(2) nanocatalysts were in-situ grown on macroscope mineral substrates(e.g.,airstone)via an interfacial redox strategy between tannic acid(TA)and oxidized KMnO4,and then employed as a fixed catalyst of peroxymonosulfate(PMS)activation for treating pharmaceutical and personal care products(PPCPs)in *** fixed MnO_(2) exhibited superior catalytic performance toward different PPCPS via a singlet oxygen(^(1.O_(2))-dominated nonradical oxidation *** in the secondary effluent of wastewater treatment plants could be effectively removed by a fixed-bed column of the fixed MnO_(2) with long term *** cycle of Mn^(4+)/Mn^(3+)and surface hydroxyl group of the fixed MnO_(2) was proved to be responsible for the activation of *** work provides a new avenue for developing fixed metal oxides for sustainable water treatment.

Knowledge about the seismic elastic modulus dispersion,and associated attenuation,in fluid-saturated rocks is essential for better interpretation of seismic observations taken as part of hydrocarbon identification and time-lapse seismic surveillance of both conventional and unconventional reservoir and overburden performances.A Seismic Elastic Moduli Module has been developed,based on the forced-oscillations method,to experimentally investigate the frequency dependence of Young's modulus and Poisson's ratio,as well as the inferred attenuation,of cylindrical samples under different confining pressure *** with three standard samples showed that the measured elastic moduli were consistent with the published data,indicating that the new apparatus can operate reliably over a wide frequency range of f∈[1.2000,1.^(6)]*** Young's modulus and Poisson's ratio of the shale and the tight sandstone samples were measured under axial stress oscillations to assess the frequency-and pressure-dependent *** dry condition,both samples appear to be nearly frequency independent,with weak pressure dependence for the shale and significant pressure dependence for the *** particular,it was found that the tight sandstone with complex pore microstructure exhibited apparent dispersion and attenuation under brine or glycerin saturation conditions,the levels of which were strongly influenced by the increased effective *** addition,the measured Young's moduli results were compared with the theoretical predictions from a scaled poroelastic model with a reasonably good agreement,revealing that the combined fluid flow mechanisms at both mesoscopic and microscopic scales possibly responsible for the measured dispersion.

Two major challenges,high cost and short lifespan,have been hindering the commercialization process of lowtemperature fuel *** wei's group has been focusing on decreasing cathode Pt loadings without losses of activity and durability,and their research advances in this area over the past three decades are briefly reviewed *** the Pt-based catalysts and the low Pt usage,they have firstly tried to clarify the degradation mechanism of Pt/C catalysts,and then demonstrated that the activity and stability could be improved by three strategies:regulating the nanostructures of the active sites,enhancing the effects of support materials,and optimizing structures of the three-phase *** Pt-free catalysts,especialiy carbon-based ones,several strategies that they proposed to enhance the activity of nitro{1.-/heteroatom-doped carbon catalysts are firstly ***,an indepth understanding of the degradation mechanism for carbon-based catalysts is discussed,and followed by the corresponding stability enhancement ***,the carbon-based electrode at the micrometer-scale,faces the challenges such as low active-site density,thick catalytic layer,and the effect of hydro{1. peroxide,which require rational structure design for the integral cathodic *** review finally gives a brief conclusion and outlook about the low cost and long lifespan of cathodic oxy{1. reduction catalysts.

Task-specific Part Discovery for Fine-grained Few-shot Classification

Localizing discriminative object parts(e.g.,bird head)is crucial for fine-grained classification tasks,especially for the more challenging fine-grained few-shot *** work always relies on the learned object parts in a unified manner,where they attend the same object parts(even with common attention weights)for different few-shot episodic *** this paper,we propose that it should adaptively capture the task-specific object parts that require attention for each few-shot task,since the parts that can distinguish different tasks are naturally *** for a few-shot task,after obtaining part-level deep features,we learn a task-specific part-based dictionary for both aligning and reweighting part features in an ***,part-level categorical prototypes are generated based on the part features of support data,which are later employed by calculating distances to classify query data for *** retain the discriminative ability of the part-level representations(i.e.,part features and part prototypes),we design an optimal transport solution that also utilizes query data in a transductive way to optimize the aforementioned distance calculation for the final *** experiments on five fine-grained benchmarks show the superiority of our method,especially for the 1.shot setting,gaining 0.1.%,8.56%and 5.87%improvements over state-of-the-art methods on CUB,Stanford Dogs,and Stanford Cars,respectively.

The main contribution in this article is threefold:(1.we show the necessary and sufficient condition for graphs to be fractional(g,f)-covered which can be expressed in different forms,and extended to fractional(g,f,m)-covered graphs;(2)the concept of fractional-critical covered graph is put forward and its necessary and sufficient condition is given;(3)we present the degree condition for a graph to be fractional(g,f,n′,m)-critical covered,and show that degree bound is sharp when m is ***,the related result in fractional(a,b,n′,m)-critical covered setting is also verified.

High-sensitivity formaldehyde gas sensor based on Ce-doped urchin-like SnO_(2) nanowires derived from calcination of Sn-MOFs

Metal-organic frameworks(MOFs)have attracted widespread attention due to their regular structures,multiple material centers,and various *** are always considered as one kind of ideal templates for developing highly sensitive and selective gas *** this study,the advantages of MOFs with the high specific surface area(71.9891.m^(2)·g^(-1.)and uniform morphology were fully utilized,and urchin-like SnO_(2) nanowires were obtained by the hydrothermal method followed by the calcination using Sn-MOFs consisting of the ligand of C_(9)H_(6)O_(6)(H_(3)BTC)and Sn/Ce center ions as sacrificial *** unique urchin-like nanowire structure facilitated gas diffusion and adsorption,resulting in superior gas sensitivity.A series of Ce-doped SnO_(2) nanowires with different doping ratios were synthesized,and their gas sensing properties towards formaldehyde were *** resulted Ce-SnO_(2) was revealed to have high sensitivity(201.2 at 250℃),rapid response(4 s),long-term stability,and good repeatability for formaldehyde sensing,and the gas sensing mechanism of Ce-SnO_(2) exposed to formaldehyde was also systematically discussed.

Improved Approximation Schemes for Early Work Scheduling on Identical Parallel Machines with a Common Due Date

We study the early work scheduling problem on identical parallel machines in order to maximize the total early work,i.e.,the parts of non-preemptive jobs that are executed before a common due *** preprocessing and constructing an auxiliary instance which has several good properties,for any desired accuracy,we propose an efficient polynomial time approximation scheme with running time O(f(1.ε)n),where n is the number of jobs and f(1.ε)is exponential in 1.ε,and a fully polynomial time approximation scheme with running time O(1.ε^(2m+1.+n)when the number of machines is fixed.
