Fused filament fabrication(FFF)is one of the additive manufacturing.processes which has g.ined more interest because of its simplicity and *** technolog. is similar to the conventional metal injection moulding.MIM)process,consisting.of the feedstock preparation of metal powder and polymer binders,followed by layer-by-layer 3D printing.FFF)or injection(MIM)to create g.een parts and,finally,debinding.and ***,both technolog.es provide near-dense *** work presents an in-depth study of the processing.method’s *** porosity,microstructure,hardness,corrosion,and tribocorrosion behaviour are compared for 17-4 PH SS samples processed from powder by additive manufacturing.using.FFF and MIM,as well as conventional powder metallurg.(PM)*** samples exhibited the hig.est macro and microhardness,while corrosion behaviour was similar for both MIM and FFF samples,but superior in comparison to conventional PM ***,the FFF-as fabricated samples displayed a sig.ificant improvement in tribocorrosion resistance that could be explained by the hig.er proportion of delta ferrite and retained austenite in their microstructure.

g.rmline activating.variants in WWP1,which encodes an E3 ubiquitin lig.se that antag.nizes PTEN tumor suppressive function,have been proposed as an alternative mechanism of PTEN inactivation in PTEN-hamartoma-tumor syndrome(PHTS)-like patients with wildtype PTEN.1 More specifically,heterozyg.us,potentially activating.wwP1 variants were first identified by Lee et al in patients affected with g.strointestinal olig.polyposis,including.adenomatous,hyperplastic/serrated,and hamartomatous polyps,and occasionally with colorectal cancer(Table 1).Subsequently,based on the PHTS phenotypic features,wWP1 mutational screening.was performed in patients with thyroid nodules,2 or normocephalic autism spectrum disorder(ASD),3 where g.rmline WWP1 variants were also identified(Table S1).

AIM: To describe prevalence and different clinical sig.s and manag.ment of cases with penetrating.eye injuries during.loco-reg.onal anesthesia for ophthalmic surg.ry. METHODS: A retrospective review of clinical records was carried out, identifying.cases of g.obe penetration secondary to peribulbar anesthesia injection during.5 y activity in Centro de Oftalmolog.a Barraquer. RESULTS: A total of 17 460 needle-based ocular anesthesia procedures were performed in our centre and 4 cases of g.obe penetration were recorded with an estimated prevalence of 0.024%. g.obe penetrations were always detected in the first 24 h after surg.ry. Vitreous haemorrhag. was found in all the cases. Two eyes presented retinal detachment and two eyes choroidal detachment(CD). The initial surg.cal approach was performed within the first 48 h. Silicone oil was used as tamponade in three eyes and the fourth case remained only with air. Detachments were solved successfully in all the cases. Functional results varied among.cases, depending.on ocular remarkable antecedent and g.obe penetration with or without retinal or ***: Prevalence of g.obe penetration during.loco-reg.onal anesthesia is low in our centre. Physicians should consider the possibility of g.obe penetration in eyes with postoperative atypical appearance after locoreg.onal anesthesia. Immediate B-scan ultrasonog.aphy is recommended in suspicious cases with a dense vitreous haemorrhag.. An early vitrectomy surg.ry in conjunction with laser or cryotherapy at the penetration sites is essential for g.od anatomical and functional results.

A traditional belief widespread across the biomedical community was that dietary habits and g.netic predisposition were the basic factors causing.colorectal *** more recent times,however,a g.owing.evidence has shown that other determinants can be very important in increasing.or reducing. incidence of this *** hypothesis that environmental and occupational risk factors are associated with colorectal cancer is g.ining.g.ound,and hig. risks of colorectal cancer have been reported among.workers in some industrial *** aim of this study was to investig.te the epidemiolog.c relationship between colorectal cancer and occupational exposures to several industrial activities,by means of a scientific literature review and *** work pointed out increased risks of colorectal cancer for labourers occupied in industries with a wide use of chemical compounds,such as leather(RR = 1.70,95%CI:1.24-2.34),basic metals(RR = 1.32,95%CI:1.07-1.65),plastic and rubber manufacturing.RR = 1.30,95%CI:0.98-1.71 and RR = 1.27,95%CI:0.92-1.76,respectively),besides workers in the sector of repair and installation of machinery exposed to asbestos(RR = 1.40,95%CI:1.07-1.84).Based on our results,the estimated crude excess risk fraction attributable to occupational exposure rang.d from about 11% to about 15%.However,homog.neous pattern of association between colorectal cancer and industrial branches did not emerg. from this review.
