Background: Abdominal pregnancy is a rare ectopic pregnancy in which the baby grows up in the peritoneal cavity exclusive of tubal, ovarian, or intraligamentary implantations. Abdominal pregnancy has very high maternal and fetal morbidity and mortality. Therefore, early recognition and prompt management remain challenges for the treating physician. A thorough examination of the newborn is critical to rule out congenital anomalies. We reported a 24-year-old woman primigravida 40 weeks post-date with spontaneous conception who was admitted to the hospital with complaints of diffuse abdominal pain, symptoms, and signs of severe preeclampsia (headache, vomiting, high blood pressure, blurred vision, and swelling of the feet, ankles, face, and hands). Moreover, she had recurrent vaginal spotting, nausea, loss of appetite, and occasional vomiting. She was diagnosed with a progressive abdominal pregnancy later. A live male fetus stained with meconium was removed from the abdominal cavity, and the placenta was completely removed without significant blood loss. Conclusion: Abdominal pregnancy is a rare ectopic pregnancy requiring high clinical suspicion, early identification, and prompt management to avoid maternal morbidity and mortality. Abdominal pregnancy can be prevented by avoiding miscarriage and treating adhesions and chronic inflammatory diseases.

This paper presents a smart checkout system designed to mitigate the issues of noise and errors present in the existing barcode and RFID-based systems used at retail stores’checkout *** is achieved by integrating a novel AI algorithm,called Improved Laser Simulator Logic(ILSL)into the RFID *** enhanced RFID system was able to improve the accuracy of item identification,reduce noise interference,and streamline the overall checkout *** potential of the systemfor noise detection and elimination was initially investigated through a simulation study usingMATLAB and ILSL ***,it was deployed in a small-scale environment to validate its real-world *** show that RFID with the proposed new algorithm ILSL and AI basket is capable of accurately detecting the related itemswhile eliminating noise originating fromunrelated objects,achieving an accuracy rate of 88%.

Steganography is the art of hiding a secret message in some kind of media. The main goal is not to hide only the secret message but also the existence of communication and secure data transferring. There are a lot of methods that were utilized for building the steganography;such as LSB (Least Significant Bits), Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT), Discrete Fourier Transform, Spread-Spectrum Encoding, and Perceptual Masking, but all of them are challenged by steganalysis. This paper proposes a new technique for Gray Scale Image Steganography that uses the idea of image segmentation and LSB to deal with such problem. The proposed method deals with different types of images by converting them to a virtual gray scale 24 bitmaps, finds out the possible segments inside image and then computes the possible areas for each segment with boundaries. Any intruder trying to find the transformed image will not be able to understand it without the correct knowledge about the transformation process. The knowledge is represented by the key of image segmentation, key of data distribution inside segment (area selection), key of mapping within each area segment, key agreement of cryptography method, key of secret message length and key of message extension. Our method is distinguishing oneself by one master key to generate the area selection key, pixels selection keys and cryptography key. Thus, the existence of secret message is hard to be detected by the steganalysis. Experiment results show that the proposed technique satisfied the main requirements of steganography;visual appearance, modification rate, capacity, undetectability, and robustness against extraction (security). Also it achieved the maximum capacity of cover image with a modification rate equals 0.04 and visual quality for stego-image comparable to cover image.

A two new hybrid “organic-inorganic” composite ion exchangers (SAM and FAM), was synthesized by the combination of inorganic ion exchanger tin (IV) silicate and tin (IV) antimonate respectively with organic polymer polyacrylamide (PAm). The sorption isotherms for Cs+, Co2+, Sr2+ and Cd2+ ions on composite ion exchanger were investigated in the range (0.0005 - 0.01M) at different reaction temperature (30℃, 45℃ and 60℃ ± 1℃). The sorption data were subjected to different sorption isotherms and the results verified that Langmuir isotherm is the best model to be applied, and the monolayer sorption capacity were calculated and was found to increase as the reaction temperature increases.

Energy Efficient and QoS Aware Framework for Video Transmission over Wireless Sensor Networks

Wireless Multimedia Sensor Networks (WMSNs), is a network of sensors, which are limited in terms of memory, computing, bandwidth, and battery lifetime. Multimedia transmission over WSN requires certain QoS guarantees such as huge amount of bandwidth, strict delay and lower loss ratio that makes transmitting multimedia is a complicated task. However, adopting cross-layer approach in WMSNs improves quality of service of WSN under different environmental conditions. In this work, an energy efficient and QoS aware framework for transmitting multimedia content over WSN (EQWSN) is presented, where packet, queue and path scheduling were introduced. It adapts the application layer parameter of video encoder to current wireless channel state, and drops less important packets in case of network congestion according to packet type. Finally, the path scheduling differentiates packets types/priority and route them through different paths with different QoS considering network lifetime. Simulation results show that the new scheme EQWSN transmits video quality with QoS guarantees in addition to prolonging network lifetime.

Association of XbaI GLUT1 Polymorphism with Susceptibility to Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus and Diabetic Nephropathy

Objectives: Diabetic nephropathy (DN) is one of the chronic microangiopathic complications of type 2 diabetes (T2DM) and has become the most frequent cause of end-stage renal disease. The XbaI polymorphism in the glucose transporter (GLUT1) has been suggested in the development of DN. We examined the association between XbaI polymorphism of GLUT1 and susceptibility to T2DM and development of DN. Methods: The study included 227 T2DM patients divided into 107 without DN (DM ? DN) and 120 with DN (DM + DN), in addition to 100 apparently healthy controls. Genotyping was done by polymerase chain reaction restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR-RFLP). Results: The GLUT1 XbaI T allele was associated with increased susceptibility to T2DM, when comparing the healthy controls to the whole diabetic group, odds ratio (OR) = 1.899, 95% confidence interval (CI) (1.149 - 3.136), p = 0.011. This association was also significant between healthy controls and DM ? DN OR = 1.997 (1.079 - 3.699), p = 0.026 as well as between healthy controls and DM + DN OR = 1.818 (1.016 - 3.253), p = 0.042. However there was no significant association of XbaI polymorphism with DN when comparing DM ? DN to DM + DN OR = 0.910 (0.474 - 1.747), p = 0.777. Conclusion: XbaI T allele is associated with increased susceptibility to T2DM, but not to development of DN. Further studies are needed to replicate such findings.
